I do not like it at all, this has the potential slow down the loading times, they have somewhat improved and now ...I don't like the pop up during the rewards because I have two extra steps to get into my game, when the reward icon is already in game it is overkill and unwarranted. I want to play my game and not have to click click away. It's a nuisance.
If they add this, I hope it would be like how it was in the Sims 3 where it was basically an Eye-Spy mini game that you get to play while the game loads and you get lifetime happiness points as a reward for how many things you were able to find, I always liked the minigame and helped keep me entertained while the game loads.
they better not take custom loading screens away! I just hope modders will be able to adapt quickly to make to adjust the loading screens to the new code gosh ... EA is really hating on us at the moment ...
After this last patch, my game now takes over 5 minutes to load, and the load screens while playing are 2-3 times longer than they used to be. Never had this issue before.
I mean, Sims 3’s loading screen was ads for DLC, set up as a game. I remember playing find the umbrella or whatever while waiting for my game to load - it was DLC items in DLC worlds. I only had base game. But at least it was more interesting than a spinning plumbob.
My initial reaction was shock and outrage, but seeing what it is... I'm less concerned. This is like the Sims 3 interactive loading screens. That's okay.
I am on console and I’d like those loading screens you showed without ads better than a blue screen with diamond. But if it’s just ads then I don’t like it. I do think pictures are nice though.
People keep bringing up the sims 3 had them like there isnt room for ea to ad more advertisements in these loading screens in the future.if people arent upset about this,ea will just continue to push those boundaries.

If it’s anything like the full screen stuff I’ve been getting for the life and death DLC then I’m probably gonna have an even harder time starting the game. I already have to load and restart at least twice before I can actually load a save file or start a new game because it freezes in between the pop ups even without mods.
Yeah, it shows you various DLCs and store content, both ones you own and do not own, that can be turned off in settings. I personally never turn it off because it was also a eye spy mini game that gifts you lifetime happiness points when you play it which helped keep me entertained while the game loads.

You also only had to load ONCE to get into the open world map, in Sims 4 if you go to your neighbors house or the business next door or the hospital real quick to have a baby, you have to deal with loading screens....and if they are just photos, whatever, if they are adds, while I am mid play session...I will get annoyed.

I don't know how long it takes just to load into my game and just to get to the first household. But it takes a minute or 2, which is ridiculous because it never used to take that long and I have a fairly good PC so I don't even understand and if they're gonna put this c*** into the game. Is it going to extend the loading times even longer than they are now? It's ridiculous.

They were actually the ones complaining about all the patch updates with bug fixes. And to add insult to injury they already mod every aspect of their game. And side bar, i hope that person who made it known it got called out for trying to start an angry mob with absolutely no proof. That type of behavior shouldn't stand.

It's obnoxious, but I personally won't care about it, as long as they don't make loading screens longer just to cycle through ads.
It doesn't bother me as long it doesn't cause loading screens to last longer, also better this than having ads shoved in your face while gaming.

One of my mods was broken so I had to log out and in 3 times and no joke it took almost an hour and still didn’t get fixed so I gave up 😭

I don't mind. Gamefreak does this with pokemon games all the time. You literally have a space to directly purchase the DLC. It kinda saves me time.
