  • International Champion quartet Crossroads met Grammy-award winning The Fairfield Four at the 2015 ACDA convention in Salt Lake City. About an hour later, this happened.
It's amazing what happens when you put eight guys who sing in a room, huh? It truly is all about the music.

Fantastic contra B flat after 3:00 from bass Joe Thompson. He had some huge shoes to fill as the successor to Isaac "Dickie" Freeman, who had an incredible bass voice, but he's doing an amazing job here!

My grampa sang bbshop..he passed when I was 8, but harmonies are in my blood! (can't sing more than a loud whisper..but Iam a great singer with a song in the car, LoL)..but love this version of em all in a room...I play harp(folk, stringed one!)..and to me, my ear hearing voices like these fellas, is like human harp strings! When I was little, for some reason I thought every grampa sang bbshop....I didn't realize how fortunate I was, but maybe I did - since I loved it, rather than think..wow gramp & buddies sing loud! gramp 1915-1978💕🎶

that's what I love on trained a-capella-singers: they listen to each other and 'music unites' as they easily blend in with each other!

Issac Freeman was a natural freak double bass vocal if there is such a thing. His bass came from from under the floor. Most bass vocalist I heard next to him were low tenors. JD Sumner sounded like a low baritone to me next to Issac Freeman's harmonic bass.
