    With an improved camera, newer processor and brighter screen, the Galaxy S22 Plus has all the routine upgrades you’d expect from a next-generation phone. But it’s really the S22 Plus’ 6.6-inch size that sets it apart from Samsung’s other new phones. It’s big enough for people who prefer larger screens, but it’s not as cumbersome as the Galaxy S22 Ultra.

      Disappointed however to know that the battery life sucks on the base s22. As per the tests you only get 5 hours sot and total 15 hours (including idle and sot) on a standard usage, that's charging almost twice a day.

    Upgrading from a Galaxy S9+ to the Galaxy 22+ !

  • @mauricehoman9559
    @mauricehoman9559 2 ปีที่แล้ว +43

    The best update: it gets 4 years of Android updates and 5 years of security updates. This lowers the cost per year significantly. This makes the decrease in battery size even more aggravating. An increase would have ensured it to last the 5 years.

    • @drodriguez1724
      @drodriguez1724 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      After 500 to 600 charge cycles the battery performance degrades and usually needs to be replaced.

    I'm so glad to see a good review on this model from a woman.. Because I prefer the specs on the s22+ compared to the base s22 model but my only concern is I have small hands. I really need a new phone as mine has capped out. It's the Huawei y5 2019.. So I'm used to holding a small phone that doesn't weigh much. I have an old iPhone 6s plus that doesn't work so I tried holding it to get a grasp of the size with the s22+ but it's quite heavy compared to my Huawei.. So I'm not 100% sure which Samsung to get..
    Any suggestions? Do you think I'll get used to the s22+ size or should I go small? I'm a bit bummed out that they downsized the s22 from the s21 but some people may not mind the downgrade in screen resolution and other specs, or battery capacity, compared to the s22+. Especially when it comes at a cheaper price point. In my country the s22+ with 256gb and 8gb ram is $1699.. That's a lot of money to spend on a phone.. I could buy a decent car for that price. Maybe not great but a car to get me from A to B. Needless to say I'll be going on a plan but I'm waiting for a better one at the moment.

Initial battery test coming out for the S22U, has it falling short of the S21U and now there are reports that the 45 watt fast charger barely charges faster than the 25 watt. My guess is that Samsung added the fast charging last minute when they couldn't optimize the SDGEN1 for better battery life, however couldn't implement it properly.

    Do you love the box-like feel of iphone 13? Do you love the never ending customization of one UI 4?
    This is S22+ is the love child of those two. The most underrated aspect of this device is how wide it feels in the hand, it's not that narrow S series device we are used to.

    I just bought thia one. Before it i was using S9 and i want to change 2 things if there is a way. The first is on my S9 when i pressea the central button from the 3 once down on the screen when the phone was locked it vibrated and lighted the screen. I'm really used to this feature and don't know how and even is it possible to set it on the s22 plus the same way. The second one is the changing of the language when i'm writing. Before i had to slide the space button and now i have to press the earth icon. I know that both things are not that big of i deal, but i juat liked the old way better and will be happy if someone knows how i can set them on the s22 too. Thanks in advance!

    I had a note20 cause I liked the idea of the s-pen but after just over a year of use, I could count on one hand the amount of times I have used the s-pen. I will not be spending the extra money for features I don't care about s-pen, brighter screen (trade off shortened battery life), better camera, couldn't care less. I will be saving the couple hundred and going with the plus, as I find the S22 too small for my long fingers.

    Yeah the phones look nice but most people are going to put a case on it. And with Android recovery mode I can clean out the cache and re-optimize the phone on the fly. I just did not see it as a worthy upgrade from the S10. In my view the s20 and 22 look the same to me. I was tempted to get the ultra model but change my mind. I decided to get the S8 ultra instead because I'm in school. It felt like a new tablet would be more worthwhile than the phone. I'm getting to the point where the phone is just a phone. I'm a tech enthusiast but recently I have been feeling burnout but maybe that's because we have moved to this new smartphone obsession. To be honest all the smartphone is is just a micro tablet. If you have a smart TV or a tablet then you may realize oh it's just a phone 🤣. I'm waiting to see if they'll make a smart calculator and see how exciting they can make that 😂.
