The win brings the Cowboys record to 10-4 and brings them into second place in the overall NFC standings with three regular season games remaining. Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe grade the Cowboys performance, Dak Prescott, Ezekiel Elliott and the Micah Parsons led Cowboys defense.

You're right. It's the play calling. Dallas rushed for over 100 in the 1st half and for no reason at all wanted to put the ball back in Dak's hands. That's just dumb. The defense is playing entirely TOO GOOD for the offense to sputter like that.

I’ll tell you one thing, coming from a non cowboy fan, the Dallas cowboys get the most hate out of any team in the league. And it’s not close. If their offense is on fire, it’s always, “but what about the defense?” And when the defense is on fire it’s “but what about the offense?” It’s rare to have a great defense and great offense every game. It’s usually either or.

It'll always happen until they win a championship again. I think there's just a natural hate because a lot of cowboys fans are loud and brag but the team hasn't really done anything in a very long time. That said, I don't really think their treatment is fair.
@@Matt-cr4vv I'm a Cowboys fan and I agree with you, although every team has those fans, Dallas just have more because they are one of a few teams with a national fan base. The only argument people use that I find silly to knock the Cowboys is their past playoff failures. Every season is different, anything could happen. Gambling would be a lot easier if the past dictated the future. That being said Dallas seems to have a championship level defense, the offense needs to improve though.

Actually it wasn't Dak yesterday, Ceedee dropped three passes, Schultz and Cooper bad blocking on screen plays, Cooper ran a few lazy routes and the Oline had a couple bad pass protect assignments. And Greg Zuerline didn't make it any better with his kicking.

Parsons played the right position last night. Imagine Barkley ran up the gut and parson was on the edge rushing. They needed him for the chase down sideline to sideline. They put him in a great place to help THE TEAM not just his stats. Yes I get it, the kids a freak but he helped contain the run while the others got to the QB. That's complementary football

Idk why they think Micah Parsons should be full time pass rusher. He's so effective on the defense because of his dynamic play making ability. He can stop the run and neutralize RBs while still getting to the QB from the MLB position
I actually agree with Dallas playing him all over the field. He was out there in pass coverage forcing an incompletion on Sunday. One of the most talented Swiss army knives I've ever seen.

Every good offense in early season has to eventually pass this slump late season when teams figure them out. opponents know what coverage to put on DAL WRs and when to blitz or not. Dak looks uncomfortable because he is. his reads aren't there and hes running for his life most pass attempts. Moore has to draw up something new for the offense or they'll have to rely on the D in the playoffs. not a good look

Skip speaking facts on Dan Quinn. As a Falcons fan I had the same issues with Vic Beasley. Rookie year Vic had 15 sacks being a pure DE. But Quinn kept having him drop back in coverage going forward every season after. Dan likes guys doing multiple but will sacrifice results to develop that

I think Skip misses the fact that Micah dropping back sets him up for future sacks and disruptions. The defense doesn't know if he is coming or going. If they bring him every down, he will get banged up and the play becomes more predictable.
I have the feeling that the cowboys are only holding back the offensive for the playoffs, if you compare the first 7 weeks strategically, that would even be smart, because nobody can adapt, somehow not creative at all, the playcall for 7 weeks

Dak is actually a genius. He knows he’s facing inferior competition right now. Why take 15 deeps shots a game and expose your playbook? All he wanted to do yesterday is run the ball and complete short passes and chew clock and come out with the win and stay injury free. How many injuries did Dallas have yesterday? 0. The offense listened to him in the huddle and knew what their jobs were. Dak nailed it I thought. Other than the fumble which was CDs fault he didn’t have a bad play. He just didn’t have any fancy falling down behind the back 50 yard touchdown plays that all the 12 year olds expect on a weekly basis. Dak is playing GROWN UP football right now and it’s shadowing based off where Dallas is in the standings and in the W-L column. Prove me wrong on any of these🤷♂️

The fact that the defense had that well of a performance while Micah was put mostly in covered is crazy; but I still don’t like how Dak couldn’t step up his play on this game smh.
Cowboys gotta run the ball throughout the entire game. If they're running game is going, that will open up the passing game. Receivers are dropping too many balls, the line isn't consistent, and the play calling is terrible. It's not all Dak.
I agree with most of what you said here. Dak is taking a LOT of the blame. True. But he has missed a lot of guys and has been throwing behind his receivers quite a bit since the calf injury. Its not all him, but obviously has a big role in the offenses performance.

Not a single play during the entire game went past 20 yards. His QBR is heavily inflated from throwing 4 yards away from him.

The top QBR overall on the year is 67.4 by Stafford (Passer rating 108.4 #2) and the top passer rating overall is 110.4 by Rodgers (QBR 66.9 #2). So while Stafford and Rodgers are interchangably 1 and 2 in passer rating and qbr, Dak is 10th and 20th. Essentially Dak, with the benefit of this last game, has been a net neutral for Dallas on the season at a cost of $75 mil. Not a great ROI...

They have 4th, 5th and 6th rounders starting along with 2 UDFA's that are all career backups. Great QB's overcome bad olines. Dak needs to step up and get the ball out quick and accurate. Stop making excuses for him. $40 mil/year QB playing like a bum.

@@GlitchNDaSystem They're paying him to be great though. He needs to be a top 10 QB at worst. They're only going to be losing talent with his cap number. It won't get any easier. Gallup will likely be the first one they can't resign unless they get rid of Amari.
