Would highly recommend scanning or copying your receipts. They fade out very quickly these days and if it is a large purchase (cameras etc.) you may want to make sure you have those records. I despise filing, too.
I really enjoyed watching this and it was so motivating for me. I love decluttering and clean with me videos cause they make me motivated to accomplish things in my home. II'm going to look into printing off a declutter calendar for myself. Thanks for sharing this! Oh and yes I would listen to a podcast. That's what I do with some of your videos currently I'll have them play while im doing other things so that i can listen to them. If that makes sense.
I like the decluttering videos, and I prefer voice-overs to music. I like hearing explanations of what you're sorting, how you're sorting it all, etc -- the process. Some of vo's needed the volume turned up, tho. I like to watch and listen to various people's videos, but not if they ramble on, and some people tend to do.
I'd love podcast..I luv ur sense of humor and ur great ideas..you're my favorite youtuber for what's for dinner, being frugal, grocery hauls,ect..I enjoy all your videos..100 k soon girl..much luv, katie
I have organised and cleaned out my entire loft space because I found these videos so inspiring. I also changed from cardboard boxes to see-through plastic boxes. Now everything is neat and tidy and it feels great. I also found old hard drives with videos and pictures from when my kids were babies, and I have spent a long time now just uploading them all to a cloud storage service. Luckily, I have made picture books /albums for every year of their lives so I have some organisation there already but it feels better to know that if (God forbid) we have a fire or a flood or something, then something can be salvaged.
But if you already don’t go down there...will you go down for an office or will you still end up working in the current places you do it now? (Kitchen counter, bed, couch etc) I bought a metal rolling cart that is stored in my bedroom as my mobile office and it holds and organizes all the “teacher” things I need, but now it not piled up on the counter or dining table.
About paying attention to the people around you when your shopping, if I have a full cart, I absolutely let people in front of me who have just a few things. Some people will decline, but I have no problem letting them go in front of me. Also, I never actively use my phone other than my calculator when I'm in the store to make sure I stay on budget.
I do get inspired to declutter parts of my own house when I see videos of other people decluttering... Plus seeing organization happen makes me feel some type of way! 😂 I have issues! Lol
Decluttering videos motivate me, but all of your videos are great. You are a regular mom and if I lived in Idaho I would be thrilled to have you as a friend. I love when you post a new video no matter what the subject but my favorite is when you clean out your freezer because it so resembles mine when I shop too much.
I love filing and organizing. My OCD was kicking in because the hanging files were multiple colors. 🙄. And another peeve is not taking the labels off of containers, tubs, trash bins, etc. Lol
I feel very similar to you regarding paperwork, and struggled with actually filing the papers that I stacked by the file cabinet. One thing that helped me was moving the file cabinet closer to where the paper comes in. For me it’s close to the kitchen because that’s where I always am. I really enjoy your content. Thanks!
Thank you so much for the is video. I never no where to start when I declutter and I end up starting and stopping and not completing anything. This is perfect. And yes to the podcast! I would definitely listen.
I love the decluttering video. Gets me motivated to get decluttering my house. As I'm writing this we, my husband and I are cleaning/decluttering our room. Makes you feel better afterwards. We did our garage the other day, got most of it done and then Nebraska's weather went back to winter. Love your videos all around even if I don't comment on every one!
Yes would love to have a garmin watch! I love your grocery hauls/ shopping hauls but this video has inspired me to declutter too! One of my life regrets - not being able to scuba dive! Underwater videos are so interesting to me! I would love to see a shipwreck!
When I worked in accounting we stapled our store receipts to a piece of paper. That way you can make notes and they fit better and not shoved at the bottom of the file.
Another fun visit while you do something. Sometimes I do my planks and stretches while I watch your videos. You might want to consider storing your medication away from the oven and stove area. The heat and humidity is not ideal. Maybe top shelf pantry next to first aid ⛑ box. You are such an inspiration for perspiration. Peace
Every new year I go through my files. Then when I return to work I bring a big box of stuff to shred. Thankfully alot is now electronic. I have my email super organized with folders. Then I empty out and purge what is not needed after the new year. I'm trying so hard to declutter!
I used to have a plastic bin literally the size of a coffin that went under my bed for school work i wanted saved. It had everything from 8th grade to senior year. Yes to podcasts!! I love talking over music. I like the feeling like im hanging out in your kitchen, office, etc
Diy Play-Doh is great, doesn't smell, and lasts longer than you expect! I used to teach first grade and made a huge batch each summer that lasted through the year.
Yes! Podcast, please. I'd totally listen to that! I imagine decluttering/organizing small areas every day helps prevent feeling overwhelmed which is great but UGH! I learned that style is not for me! Just watching you kinda stressed me out. But I watched all the way through because I'm a dedicated fangirl 🙃
The older I get, the more into organization I get -- it's so satisfying to check those areas off! A tip for your above-stove 'pharmacy' -- get some shallow baskets and put the pills/meds in those, so you can just pull the basket down and place it on the counter while taking the pills, then slide it back in. Saves all the digging around and things getting shoved to the back where they're hard to reach.
Yes I would definitely make a dedicated office area. You could pick up an electric heater for the basement that y’all could turn on only when your in that area to keep you warm. We have a Duraflame electric fireplace and a Duraflame electric lantern heater that each heat 1000 square feet, we love ours they keep our house very cozy.
I love these videos!!!! The first of the series is how I found you. And I really like all your content. And yes I like the voice over much more than music. Thanks for your inspiration!😊
Loved your video! It has encouraged me to declutter. We have no trip plans for a Spring Break, so now I know what I’ll be working on! Looking forward to it, oddly enough!
I have be been literally binge watching. Mainly for 2 reasons I have been on a liquid diet since the 1st, and. I’m exhausted second, I have surgery in a few days and I’m just trying to take it easy, I have really enjoyed all of the videos, from cooking to budget, to de cluttering,, but I have been on a complete transformation from declutter and weight loss and as of 2 days ago my watch decided to quit working. And a Garmon would really be a great addition to my journey. Again thank you and please keep doing what you do cause my entire family watches
I ve never listened to a podcast but I'm down to start if you begin one. I love decluttering, I just dont get to do it enough while having to watch kids.
I am a paper collector & need to stop collecting it. You are a great motivator to declutter. I would love the hat so my head/part doesn't get sunburned here in SC. Thumbs up to podcast. I do like these videos where you pop on with the calendar challenge & a new cute outfit! Thanks!!! :D
You definitely need an office area. It would be great if you could make one upstairs. With all the paperwork you have to keep up with for taxes and your kids paperwork it would help a lot with the clutter and would definitely keep your office type supplies together. My husband has been a contractor that gets 1099 for over 20 years and I started out with no office space and quickly learned the hard way I needed one. There is so much I have to keep up with for taxes and just normal household paperwork. Great job with the decluttering. I am in that process now and I hate it also. Keep up with the awesome videos . God bless !
Podcast, YES! I keep house and books for my husband's business and am gaining insight in many areas from this series. Shocker when you opened above the stove cabinets, how the heck do you keep your medicines in same place my husband does? I thought it was such an odd place can't believe someone else does that too. Scuba certified-how cool?!
Yes!! That corner back there would be perfect as an office!! LOL! I just went through the SAME thing looking for white plain label tabs. Found them on Amazon.
My husband and I use the self checkout alot. If there is someone in line with a few items compared to my cart full, then I'm darn sure letting them go first. I'm especially aware of this with elderly people. To me it's simply respect!
To eliminate clutter I combine cleaning stuff in upcycled gallon pickle jars or the large plastic containers from the dollar tree it works awesome for things that you buy in bulk
I completely sympathize with you. I especially hate paper clutter. However with a big family (which I have) and a small house I have to declutter often to stay sain. Loved how genuine this video was.
For the receipts, get a doc scanner, upload to Google Docs to store and shred the receipts right away. Investment up front but super effective and a better way to manage receipts.
I like these videos! The last one you did inspired me to start decluttering as well. Instead of following a daily schedule, though, I am just writing down different areas that I know I want to go through and then tackling one at a time as I can (I just had my 5th baby last month and I homeschool so I have to find bits of time here and there to work on them). I'm making a video of it as well 😁
I love your decluttering videos. They really help motivate me to pick up after myself better. For the same reason, I would love a podcast. But please don't stretch yourself too thin :)
I forgot to mention a few things. I've never listened to podcasts before but definitely would if you started doing them. Also think you should do an office in the corner! Bring that little heater you use upstairs and put in on your desk while you work down there to stay warm.
yes, make a little office...it helped me to keep more organized once I had a designated area and made it cute for myself - sounds silly, but it helped! Although, like you, I do still struggle w filing...it's just not fun!
I absolutely LOVE your personality and would be interested in what your podcast topics would be. I loved this decluttering video because you are real and not trying to bs anyone. You are an amazing mother and wife and I love all your videos. Much love to you ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Yes to the podcast!!!! And I started the same challenge as you and the 5/6 days of CLEANING OUT THE SAME STUFF was to much for me. If there was something different everyday.... but I also found myself searching for things to go through.🤷🏼♀️
I've been watching several of your videos in a row today, since I've recently discovered your channel. I would listen to your podcasts because I prefer concurrent activities. Thanks for the inspiration to declutter. I would love the Garmin for my 14 year old daughter who loves running. She runs XC at school, and 5k's in her free time. Her next goal is a 10k.
I’m decluttering while I’m packing to move. I donated 5 bags of stuff and a box of breakables yesterday and I have another bin started. I know what one we move in there will be a lot more stuff.
I'll be doing the 40 bags in 40 days challenge that starts Ash Wednesday. We moved December 30th and I feel like I've been decluttering for 3 months straight.
Hi Christine! I love your channel and am making your chili recipe while watching this video as we speak! I discovered your channel in January and you have really motivated me to cut my grocery bill drastically and I’m on course to have it cut by 50% for February... woot woot! My jaw dropped when you mentioned your Garmin watch giveaway! I just graduated an accelerated nursing program in December and the only thing that kept my sanity was picking up a running habit while in school. In 2019 I ran my first 50km ultra in May and my first 50 miler ultra the weekend after I graduated in December . It was either running or stress eating cookies for me ( and to be honest the stress eating cookies still happened too)! I don’t have a training watch and during my 50 miler, my phone battery pooped out by mile 29 and the rest of the race was a bit of a twilight zone in the woods of TN, not really sure how many miles I had left. Long story short, I would love the Garmin if you are looking to pass it along to another runner! Thanks for the motivation, you ROCK!!
I would absolutely listen to a podcast from you. Mostly because you live close to me and I feel like your a real person compared to the random voices on my podcast app (haha) but also because you are a real mom that shows the daily struggles. Its nice to see that not every TH-cam mom has a perfectly white house that is spotless all the time.
Entry for the running hat!!! My 9 year old son is your biggest fan, lol!!! I literally have to wait and watch your videos until he can watch with me. He's begging for that hat:)
I don’t like to get behind on paperwork. It seems to weigh me down when there is a pile of stuff to do or file. What I’ve discovered and now do is take care of it daily. When the mail comes in, I open it, file it, or set it up for payment, etc. it only takes a few minutes and it is such a relief to have it done. I would say if daily is not possible, to set aside one day a week to take care of the paper.
Have you considered digitizing some of your files? I was nervous about the more personal things, like bank account info, so some things we still keep offline. But....We bought a paid account through Dropbox with more online storage and now instead of filing things like the electric bill, kids' school papers, etc we use our phones to scan it in the Dropbox app. It was a major pain to go through years of files and digitize them, but once it's done it's literally been life changing. It made the process of selling our house sooooo much easier because we can find anything within 30 seconds. So when our realtor asked for a certain paper, we just pulled out our phones and emailed it right away. It's also made things like doctor's appointments, IEP meetings, keeping records for pets or cars, and even our adoption process go so much more smoothly because there is no more wondering where that certain paper is from two years ago is, I can pull it up right in the meeting. And as an added bonus we got rid of a huge file cabinet. Now when a bill or important school paper comes we just take a photo of it, file it in the app, and throw the paper away.
Yes please to the podcast! I’d definitely listen. I need to do this challenge! I would love more videos like this. I agree with you about the play doh, the dollar store stuff stinks. I’d love the Garmin, or the hat honestly! Could definitely use either!
I would listen to podcast by you! You have an interesting and logical way of talking about things, and that’s really enjoyable 😄
It’s like chilling with a friend while they get thing’s done
Would highly recommend scanning or copying your receipts. They fade out very quickly these days and if it is a large purchase (cameras etc.) you may want to make sure you have those records. I despise filing, too.
I was going to suggest the same thing. Scanning saves what might fade away too quickly.
Take a photo of the receipts with your phone. Fast and easy to find.
I prefer your food budget videos but let’s be honest....I would watch/listen to whatever you post....
Me tooooo
Ditto
I really enjoyed watching this and it was so motivating for me. I love decluttering and clean with me videos cause they make me motivated to accomplish things in my home. Yes to the podcast! Love listening to your insights. Can’t wait for it.
I like the decluttering videos, and I prefer voice-overs to music. I like hearing explanations of what you're sorting, how you're sorting it all, etc -- the process. Some of vo's needed the volume turned up, tho.

Girl, my washer/dryer are downstairs and I constantly face that battle of "I don't want to go downstairs."
Yes, next home must have laundry on the main floor.
I have organised and cleaned out my entire loft space because I found these videos so inspiring. I also changed from cardboard boxes to see-through plastic boxes. YES. You should make an office. Tax write off! Buy a heater! 😜
Yes an office.
Review IRS rules for home offices as deductions, the requirements are quite strict.
Jen Chapin I was thinking exactly this!
Agreed! :)
Your no nonsense approach gives me so much motivation. Thank you!!! I know these videos are hard for you. Your hard work is not in vain!
About paying attention to the people around you when your shopping, if I have a full cart, I absolutely let people in front of me who have just a few things. Some people will decline, but I have no problem letting them go in front of me. Also, I never actively use my phone other than my calculator when I'm in the store to make sure I stay on budget.
I say, yes to the podcast! You could talk about budgeting, being frugal!
A home office can be really helpful. Super busy mom wife self life. Some space to "peacefully" focus on things can make them easier to deal with.
I love filing and organizing. My OCD was kicking in because the hanging files were multiple colors. 🙄. And another peeve is not taking the labels off of containers, tubs, trash bins, etc. Lol

PS: I made your white chicken chili the other day. IT WAS AMAZZZZZINGGGG WHOOP WHOOP! Cream cheese made it so good.
Love your channel. I get good ideas for budgeting, cooking & decluttering! You make my day!
This was very motivating , I like that it was small things and not overwhelming.
Peace
I would love to see you finish the year! Watching you gave me a kick in the ass to get productive...you got this! Also yes to the podcast!!!
I would totally listen to a podcast from you! I love podcasts on any topic to listen to while I drive to and from work/running errands.
I appreciate how you looked a bit insane when you stopped on day 1. Exactly how that makes me feel too!
Every new year I go through my files. Then when I return to work I bring a big box of stuff to shred. Thankfully alot is now electronic. I have my email super organized with folders. Then I empty out and purge what is not needed after the new year. I'm trying so hard to declutter!

I weirdly love these declutter videos. Now I need to get started on mine
Diy Play-Doh is great, doesn't smell, and lasts longer than you expect! I used to teach first grade and made a huge batch each summer that lasted through the year.

Please do more of these videos! I’m going to start a 30 day declutter with the ladies in my community, thanks for the inspiration!!
Garmin....omg yes please! Would be awesome to kick start this much needed health journey. Totally love your videos
I love these videos!!!! The first of the series is how I found you. And I really like all your content. And yes I like the voice over much more than music. Thanks for your inspiration!😊
Oh my goodness so close to 100K subscribers!!! I cheer every day when I check your channel!! I am so excited for you!!!
I dont decutter, just clean and organize.
Space heater might help the basement and understanding the humidity amount.
Yes, I'd definitely listen to your podcast while driving/at work.
Yes!!! I would listen. Your voice is great for a podcast and you always have such useful advice! Do it!!!
Thanks!!! :D
I love the decluttering videos! They're inspiring. Love your "well rounded" shirt!
Yes I would love the Garmin watch. My husband and I watch your videos and love podcasts. So I think that would be cool. Thanks for doing the work!
Yes to the podcast and the office space😁. I love all of your content!
That's a great idea ... declutter everyday, for 30 days. Brilliant!!
Actually your hair looks awesome, color and length. Love your side swept bangs.
God bless !
I prefer your food budget video.I hubby and family liking every thing new that I am learning from you,
Not to be overly dramatic, but you are helping me be a better person. For real. Thank you for being awesome! Would totally listen to your podcast.
Fun tip for dollar tree playdough... Run it under some water and work that into the dough to soften it up and make it useable.
Yes I would definitely listen to your podcast! Your energy makes you not boring. Try it😉🖒
Yes podcast! I also prefer the voice over to music in videos as most of the time I'm multitasking.
I have never listened to a podcast but I would! Your tips are always so great and you are so motivating to me.
Yes definitely would listen to your podcast!!!!👍
I love these videos! It’s so inspiring to see you do these every day! Please don’t stop!
I’ve already had most of my cart unloaded onto belt, saw someone walk up behind me with just a few items and told them to go ahead of me.
This is such an inspirational video
I need to declutter so bad, but I have like no time 😞.
Put all paperwork in a basket upstairs. Set a day, once a week to go through basket. Google Sunday basket for more info. This method is helpful.
I love your declutter videos! Thanks for sharing!
Yes to podcast! You could talk about anything and I would listen. Money, budgeting, raising children, food prep, anything!
Another idea for a podcast could be to do a Q and A with Dave and you two just answer questions that people have. Those are awesome to listen to!
I totally read that as raising CHICKENS!! LOL!
I absolutely LOVE your personality and would be interested in what your podcast topics would be. I loved this decluttering video because you are real and not trying to bs anyone. You are an amazing mother and wife and I love all your videos. Much love to you ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I just Googled a 365 day declutter calendar. Trying to decide if I start from January or if I start March 1st.
Keep the decluttering coming!
I still need to get my declutter calendar. You got me hooked to it now. Lol thanks girl.
I can't do a couple minutes a day! I have to finish it all in one day if it kills me! I am so impatient and the older I get the harder it is.
I'll be doing the 40 bags in 40 days challenge that starts Ash Wednesday. We moved December 30th and I feel like I've been decluttering for 3 months straight.

Your son gets the hat! Email me at swimmerturnedtriathlete@gmail!
If you decide to move your office down there; just get a space heater. I'd love to see a video of you making that space your own!
I like the grocery videos, but I'm also always down for decluttering/organising videos :)
I love your cooking and groceries videos but this is nice for a change I feel like you always mix it up I love that👍👍👍
Podcast: yes please!!
I would say if daily is not possible, to set aside one day a week to take care of the paper.
of course I would listen
I always get inspired by decluttering videos. I have never listened to a podcast but would be interested.
I love your commentary and I enjoy all your advice. You are very inspiring !!
