A visit to Melaka is incomplete without trying their Asam Pedas. You can try ordering roti canai with kuah asam pedas too.

One more thing...yes you are right about the history....one of our famous ambassador and warrior called Hang Tuah, used to go there as melaka ambassador (hundred years ago), maybe for trading bussiness between the country.
They even keep the oldest manuscript...i think about 300 years....where it talks about the arrival of malay ambassador called Hang Tuah...and they even keep the hundred years old keris, that given by hang tuah as token of friendship between melaka dan okinawa (rhukyu island).
Its amazing right. Maybe you are born to continue tge friendship between okinawan and malaysian.
Can you imagine. We are used to be best friend a long time ago..

It's same case to" Goya Champuru " , mixed 苦瓜 . Champuru same to malay word " campur" it's mean mix . I think there a lot of Okinawan dialect / Ryukyu language loanwords came from Malay language.

It actually one way from TBS to Masjid Jamek, however due to once of the station requiring repair, they split the road at Hang Tuah. So, whenever you are tyring to go to TBS from Masjid Jamek, you need to exchange platform at Hang Tuah. This can be confusing for ppl who rarely use the route, iit has been liike this for a few month already.

FYI I would recommend you all to take the "Melaka River Cruise" during night time... Maybe you should spend a night at Melaka town during weekend... It's definitely worth it... You'll learn a lot about Melaka history and the buildings around the river ... The government preserved the buildings for us to learn about Melaka Sultanate and the culture. You should plan to take a tour besides "makan2"... 😂😂
BTW Melaka is famous for it's "asam pedas" and "baba nyonya" foods... You should try and search for a good restaurant and explore more local cuisine....

Ryukyu and Malay world have a long history. goes back around 14th century. there's a keris (Malay dagger) found in Okinawa and various other items associated with Sultanate of Melaka. both kingdoms definitely have diplomatic relationships

Not surprising Taka, they found Keris (Malay Weapon) in Okinawa, there were some connection between Malay and Japanese that goes hundreds of years back. Malay were amazing sea travelers with big ships last time, the Sultans loves to send their Admirals to explore and create relationship with other nations...Hang Tuah, one of the Malay Great Admiral, was historically travelled around so many places like China, India etc...The first Malay to complete the circumnavigation of the world with Magellan trip was Enrique of Malacca or his real name Panglima Awang...

When you guys travel together, just use Grab. Easy and affordable. For the LRT issue, I believe that because of the close route, you need to use the bus as an alternative to the next station and continue on the same route. Welcome to Melaka!

Boleh cuba datang ke Johor Bahru dengan menaiki bas. Turun di Terminal Bas Larkin boleh menjamu selera di Plaza Larkin. Ada kacang pool, asam pedas dan bermacam-macam lagi. Boleh cuba mee rebus dan mee bandung juga. Nak ke JB boleh naik bas dari TBS 👍🏽👍🏽

Naan & Tandoori if I am not mistaken are Northern Indians Cuisine. Quite different from southern indian which more spicy tapi sedapppp. Melaka or Malacca used to be trading post for ship throughout Asian countries. Herbs and spices is number one trading business. Ok. So gemuk macam Taka Makin gemuk.

I usually take LRT to KL Sentral and change to KLIA Transit to go to TBS. It’s much faster but slightly expensive.
