I definitely agree! On it all! I too love Akatsuka hybrids! I was gifted Akatsuka Mami Volcano Queen and it blooms so regular and many times! It's a strong cotton candy fragrance which later turns a little perfume. But it NEVER disappoints! I too love Little Stars! It's my favorite night fragrant orchid. Great video 😊
Thank you Paula! I am blown away by the vigor on the Hawaiian orchids. I think that's what made me expand my collection so much. The fragrance is also a nice bonus. I hope you have a fantastic weekend ❤️😘
I love your videos! I would have to say my easiest grower is definitely my Brassavola Perrinii. It was my first seedling and even through every mistake (and there have been several) it is still the most robust grower. My second easiest is the Brassavola Cucullata. Haha. There’s just something special about Brassavola I think 🌺🤗😁
Definitely any of the RM hybrids are good for beginners, but not all of them are fragrant and fragrance seems to be one of the things beginners want the most. So even though Pcv Golden Peacock is lovely, vigorous, easy to bloom and produces a lot of little orange blooms, it is only there for the visual. I'm a bit surprised you didn't include your little nobile hybrid.
Hi Nicole. Can you please share how you take care of the Pinocchio? I got one a couple of years ago and it has never bloomed for me. It's very leafy and healthy looking but not sure what I can do to get a flower spike.
I have a bunch of repotting videos to get through, but I can probably do a Paph care video in a few weeks. How much light is it getting? It took mine a little over a year before the spike carne.
Thanks Nicole! I plan to buy brassavola nodosa Little Stars very soon. I would love to get the Sharry Baby but don’t have room for large orchids. Do you have, or would you recommend, any mini cattleyas?
I really like smaller Richard Mueller hybrids. Something like a bl yellow bird is pretty small. Check out my compact orchids video I made a few weeks back for some ideas and lmk what you think ❤️
Charleston s.c. I had 1 years ago but lost it during a move. we only have 1 garden shop that gets orchids other than regular phals. They have never had one. They get ones in bloom as gifts. . Occasionally miltonias , cattleya if they are in bloom and a phaph once. Since they are mature and blooming they are really expensive. Our box stores and grocery stores have reg phals but not in good shape. There is a nursery in N.C I believe but very expensive plus shipping. Carter and Holmes. But haven't seen one on their site. Hausermans doesn't. .... only ones I have seen was from ETSY and was $80 plus ship! I was afraid of shipping from Hawaii but if yours made it, ! Glad I came across your channel.
@@SS11660 shockingly enough, on Amazon the brand orchid insanity has them for $20. I bought one from them once and it was healthy. Maybe you can give them a go!
Pinocchio is a sequential bloomer. Most Paphs aren't. Maudiae and the American hybrids aren't sequential bloomers. Some have more than one bud per spike, with all spikes visible when the first starts to open (delenatii and philippinense, for example).
I have a ctna Why Not and she has bloomed twice for me over the last year. Good grower.
Ohh that's a good one! I don't have it but I hear really good things. That's a nice recommendation!
@@NicoleDeanna Palmer Orchids has both red and yellow

@@NicoleDeanna That yellow Akatsuka Cattleya is phenomenal! She made me 🤤 😆
Me too!
Thank you for sharing dear. Your collection is unbelievably gorgeous!
Thanks so much :)
Hi Nicole. I like the Brassavola orchids too. I have 2 of them. Also Shary baby. Thanks for sharing your favorites. 🥰🤗❤️
Thank you as always for watching ❤️❤️

Thank you so much 💖💖 I love the brassavolas too! They are so easy! My little stars is blooming now. I feel like it's bulletproof almost :))
Beautiful🎉sharing👭
Just in time for my birthday next week!
Yessss 🤤 Happy Early Birthday 🎂🎉❤️
I think you covered them all and I agree!! Especially with the volcano queens and the brassavolas! Super vigorous growers!! Great video!
Thanks so much ❤️
I have some of these! I love the vigor in the pcv. Key Lime Star!
It's a nice one!!
Great video. Unfortunately, my sharry baby died. However I shall try a violeas and bellina 🎉
I love Acatsuka orchids. They sell high quality orchids. Very healthy and well grown plants.
I agree :)
Do they sell plants online ?
Does the walkerina coconut orchid actually fragrance strong??
@@richarddrake9650 walkeriana is strong, like roses. Maxilaria Tenufolia smells like coconuts, but not super strong.

Golden peacock is cute, but I agree with you on fragrance being important! I didn't include the Angel baby because it's a little harder to find.
Do you know where could I get a Brassavola Dygbiana?
I got mine from orchids by Hausermann a few years ago
Gold country orchids also has them sometimes!

@@NicoleDeanna a vid on Paph care would be great! Mine gets about 10 hours of light, about 4 feet away from a west facing window.

No Dendrobiums?
It was hard because I limited it to 5, but a den phal would've been nice and easy!
Atkasuka orchids? Spelling?
Akatsuka ❤️
I cant find a sherry baby less than $100. Why so expensive?
That's way too much, where are you located?

Are all paphiopedilum orchids sequential bloomers? No I feel silly for cutting my paph’s spike after the bloom faded 😢

No, they aren't all sequential, some fade and dont bloom for a while, you're probably good:))
