For "bury a friend", you know why that part makes you cringe when he says "commeer"? The screech sound effect that accompanies is actually derived from a sample of a dentist's drill that Billie recorded while she was at a dental appointment. While it was digitally manipulated for the song, it still has that subliminal effect on the listener of cringe and discomfort. The sound literally puts your teeth on edge. Absolutely brilliant sound editing.
It's also from the guys point of view. He's slurring ,like he's talking in his sleep ("come here", "Listen", "careful".)

All The Good Girls Go To Hell was confusing to me for a long long time before I started to get the meaning so don’t feel bad! I’ve heard it’s about climate change and how humanity is killing our own garden of Eden but I’m still not sure. That one resonated with me.
Loved that you got the message behind Wish You Were Gay. If you listen closely to the lyrics, you can hear her kind of count down numbers. Her attention to detail is so incredible!
I Love You clicked with me immediately. It’s kind of the opposite of a love song. I’ve always imagined it like if you had a guy best friend and out of the blue he confessed his love to you. Even if you love him back, just by saying the words “I love you”, he’s forever changed your friendship and it will never be the same. That’s always how I understood the sentiment of like “please tell me you’re joking” because it’s terrifying for your best friendship to suddenly change so drastically. All of a sudden all of your interactions are different, you think about their every word differently, it could end horribly someday. The fear of the unknown hit home to me.
