I Thank you for your supremely common sense attitude - I went through menopause @ 28 after having a hysterechtomy (sp!) no-one, not one Doctor male or female, took the time to explain a thing to me about ANYTHING! I was prescribed HRT & basically shoved out of the door to get on with it myself!!

After watching this, I feel like you both just saved my life! I am 53 years old and am in menopause (for about a year and a half). I had a physical last year and when I brought up my menopausal situation, there was literally no conversation/education about what I should be doing. I have a female doctor who is very bright, but Barbara is right, doctors are not educated in menopause. Today I begin my self education! Thank you, Dominique and Barbara!

I'm living in a hormone deficient state and that's Florida. Actually had a doctor ask me why would I want more libido, have more energy and have resilient skin and hair since I'm over 50? He said that's nature's way and that i need to learn to embrace it and realize those things are gone forever. Never went back and went to look for a more "enlightened " doctor.

Thank you, thank you, thank you Dominique and Dr. Barbie! I’ve been watching Barbie’s TH-cam channel for a couple of years now (after seeing her on Dominique’s channel) and I am addicted. She has taught me so much I can’t even tell you. I will be forever grateful for her generosity and education. I’ve been on HRT for about a year and a half now and I truly feel I have my life back. I was so miserable with my symptoms, but with Barbie’s teachings, I also learned that losing our estrogen goes way beyond just the symptoms. It’s so important for all of us to understand the long-term consequences as well. She literally changed my life! Thank you both!! ♥️

Dominique...there aren't any coincidences. I'm almost in tears watching Dr. Taylor and you; today, I went to my obgyn...and we are going to start HRT.....ive been plagued with hot flashes and trouble sleeping. Besides that though...on the up side..
I've lost weight, I've improved my diet...i am starting yoga myself, but I was confused by higher triglycerides...slightly higher blood pressure...things that did not seem to coincide with my new healthy life. After I left the doctor's office...i had a hankering to get a nice vegan lunch and happened to find a little store that sold puzzles as I was beginning to feel like I needed some challenging. Probably all while this video was uploading. I will get to Dr. Taylor's channel asap. GOD BLESS YOU and her; I finally got some education and sanity 💜

I've been on hormone replacement since mid-40s and I'm 78 now and still on hormone replacement. So any of these doctors say you don't need it we're not taught that in medical school. I'm so tired of hearing that. Florida being the worst. I've lived in Tennessee and Louisiana and I have very good doctors that gave me hormone replacement. I moved to Florida and there's very few doctors and if you find one they don't take insurance and charge you a fortune.

This is just so lovely. I have never felt better in anyone's (virtual) hands more than Dr Taylor. Women deserve better, I deserve better, I want to be the best version of the new Post Menopausal me. Thankful that Dr Taylor is willing to share herself with us (me) with a subject that is just so massive in it's nature, that can and will constantly change - and someone that doesn't think we ( I ) am crazy. Most women I know are silent about it, they don't want to speak of it and pretend they are "just fine" never a single symptom to be had. Dr Taylor has given me a voice, a choice and a mission. I take being her student seriously and with gratitude.

THANK YOU Dominique for reminding me to realign my priorities! Always GREAT content and great inspiration! You know what struck me? All these different issues I have had recently, after my partial hysterectomy 4 years ago, I keep focusing on different reasons I don't feel normal and have gained weight but I haven't changed my eating and I eat less. We sat at a round table facing me and listened intently at what I said. She ask me to tell her my whole journey. All my HRT was crazy bad that the other doctors gave me which is why I always felt terrible. My doctor got my HRT right where it needed to be. I feel so much better!!! My doctor is in WV and I am moving to Florida in a few months and plan to fly to WV to see my menopause doctor. I do not want to waste one minute trying to find a new doctor that I have to start all over with and go trial and error. I do not want anyone who is going to try to change my HRT regimen.

My mum was offered HRT but refused the offer due to the bad press surrounding it. She went on to develop osteoporosis, had bouts of depression, developed bladder issues and dementia which affected her ability to live fully and actively post menopause. She is no longer with us, and we will never know if HRT would have changed any of that, but I can’t help feeling if she had taken it she could have saved herself from a lots of those issues for many more years.

There’s a study that HRT with calcium can cause heart attacks. Just FYI. The research is fairly new and they don’t know how much calcium causes the increase in attacks. I’m on calcium and HRT. I was told if you have osteopenia you’ll be put on prescription calcium supplements (bone drugs?) when your DEXA scan shows a certain drop within so many years. I’m fighting all the way. I exercise and take the supplements. I also switched my calcium supplement after reading about them and getting my last scan. I still had osteopenia compared to my peers. This despite exercise, HRT, and calcium. I switched to a calcium gummy. I think is the triphosporous one. Anyway there’re three different calciums available OTC. So I don’t know which one is linked to increased heart attacks. Damned if you do, damned if you don’t!

It’s interesting how many menopause symptoms are the same as breast implant illness. I am looking forward to gaining health back after removing the toxic devices from my body. We must start questioning Doctors advice and every ingredient that is swallowed, injected, or placed in our bodies. The choices are ours!! I so appreciate Dr. Taylor’s education, I don’t 100 percent agree with everything but that just makes me research more. God bless you both❤️

@@livelovelaugh2027 This does not mean she’s stopped learning just because she isn’t practicing.
Also be aware that there is zero menopause training in medical school anyway.. Therefore, even a currently “practicing” MD will not have the educational training and knowledge to be able to treat a woman effectively.
Also, she educates on bio identical hormones, not synthetic hormones.

Your mother is one of that lucky 5% that made enough testosterone on her own to sustain her life. She is the exception, not the rule. Women have choice, and that's a beautiful thing, but the numbers don't lie. Most women do need help, or we will succumb needlessly early to heart disease, osteoporosis and Alzheimer's.

I have Uterine Cancer and this does progress with excessive estrogen. In order to treat the cancer, you need to have a uterine lining which is thinned by progesterone. So estrogen can be a problem, but it depends on what your hormonal issues are. I feel much more relaxed and less anxious when I balance my estrogen with natural herbs that stimulate progesterone. And I have been cancer free now for 4 years with a local IUD that releases progesterone and when taking Chasteberry Extract (an herb that stimulates release of progesterone).

I just loved Barbie she is excellent 🥰🌟🌺🌺🙇‍♀️💃🏼... I definitely need to have a session with her ... she is so knowledgeable and she had a fantastic way of teaching 😍😍😍 Now I’m worried about myself because I had my total hysterectomy in 2017 and chose not to use HRT ... because of my brain aneurysm/stroke I had in 2010 I was put on hormones for my severe migraines .. during the time I was on them I developed hypertension which having the two together gave me the brain aneurysm/stroke... I probably need to go see my cardiologist as Barbie suggested .. I have been through menopause but now I’m noticing more of dry skin, few wrinkles, hair thinning - I’ll be 58 on July 8th 🌺🌺🌺 Thanks Dominique for having Barbie, it was such a treat 🥰🥰🥰 I’ve been researching the carnivore diet (which weight gain has been my major problem since my total hysterectomy) so I’m trying to really lose some weight.. please pray for me 🙏🏻❤️🌺😎🤗

    • @crh251
      @crh251 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Chris, I think it just depends. I remember that time frame too. I think because every woman is different, she needs to find someone to work with in regards to what will work for her. I’ve heard of women going on HRT in their 80’s. I think the ideal time is the ten years range, but there must be exceptions to the rule. I’m not a doctor so that’s just my opinion. I’m 57 and am post menopausal. My last period was in 2015 so I’m still in the ten year window and am seeing someone next week in regards to HRT.

Thank you Dominique and Dr. Barbie for this video, so very educational and revealing. I studied menopause with Dr. Barbie a few years ago for many months and that's the reason why I am in HRT nowadays, however as you well say it took me literally years to accomplish it, due to ignorance in me and around me, doctor's hard rejection and society convincing that my growing symptoms and feeling horrible everyday was normal and had to be put up with, period. Thank you so much for changing my life!!! Blessings.
