Someone else in the comments said they live near this and that alot of the property renters owed alot of money to the landlords or something and the parking lot needed work.
This was in Arlington Heights. I went there before it was demolished, it was amazing seeing everything left behind. The owners had lots of complaints from neighbors, in addition to lots of code violations. They couldn't keep up with all the fines and decided it would be cheaper to raze it than to fix it. Read the news articles about it instead of making up stories.
Those spaces were likely abandoned pretty recently, especially considering one place was still in business (for another day, lol.) The clothes, toys, and computer looked like they were still in great shape. I definitely would have picked through and collected stuff for donation.
That Burger Baron is fs not abandoned. They recently changed their sign to make it more cartoony, which is the sign you saw on the restaurant. The rest of the mall is 100% abandoned, but imo the burger Baron is open for sure.
ngl if I ever found a mall that had so much left in it abandoned, I would make it a big haul back. Someone somewhere needs of use of these items and I am not ashamed to say I would want to profit from it. The old saying, “A man’s loss is another’s gain.”
I don't know what town this was on the way to Niles, Illinois. We saw like at least 5 totally abandoned strip malls. I remember seeing those parking lots full of vehicles and shoppers. 😢
I love antique stores. Seeing this breaks my heart. The owner wouldve done everything to preserve the furniture and items in there. Somethings not right. The owner wouldnt leave that there.
Some of these are not abandoned tf outta here. It’s abandoned but the power is on and TV is playing??? Or maybe they just abandoned it minutes prior lol
You would be surprised how many places are abandoned like this with all the electricity and water still working. It's very expensive to get turned back on so places will often not have it turned off. A lot of taxpayer money goes towards keeping these places' lights and water on indefinitely
I want to know how an entire strip mall becomes abandoned like that
Amazon and high crime

It was on its way out for a long long time
@@Stepharoni_and_Clean That essentially sums up every square inch of North America. Way to think that one through.
Seriouslyyyy I wanna know too
Oh, that’s out by me! Property landlords owed lots of $$ or something, a lot of the buildings & parking lot were in horrible shape too.
Oh wow
What town? I live in Illinois!
Cant believe it hasnt all been looted! Especially the motorcycle. I woulda bagged up all those toys and donated to a hospital or charity
Toys....
Oh nvm I read the title wrong
Again, what a huge waste😢 so many kids are out there who desperately need those cloths and toys.. Your vids are awsome guys❤
Holy shit then donate some
Bro is living a life of adventurness 💀

Right...I don't think it's considered stealing if you the doors are unlocked.😂😂😂😂
That motorcycle was just left like that??? That last scene was not abandoned just a poor editing job.
i live by here and it is abandoned

How did people decide to just abandon it?
TV is on.
It said the restaurant is closing the very next day meaning it was still open and serving customers when he was there
