    Looks like a very good tool and it's good to see it tested by someone in the UK too.
    Groovy.

    It’s a good idea.. Unfortunately, the fletchings get distorted if kept in the riser and you lose all your accuracy. So you have to carry arrows separately, which means you might as well carry a traditional, takedown field bow, which is only slightly less compact, can be setup just as fast, but will be lighter, have better accuracy, range and stopping power @ 50lb .... But if you do feel the need for a compact metal bow, PGU is the same weight, fits in a pack, it takes 10 seconds to set up, it has the same power and a stepped riser, making it more accurate ... And It’s 30% cheaper....

      You sound like you know what your talking about and just introduced me to the idea of a takedown field bow. awesome ima research this, I need something stealth to hunt small game behind my house but I gotta pass a few homes to get there and people passing by etc.. I’m trying to look up pgu if that’s a bow or if you have any others you’d recommend. Thanks

      How distorted

    • @cliveloosley8018
      @cliveloosley8018 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@NikosKatsikanis When fletchings are in close contact with each other in a tight compartment they bend, and if left for any length of time even the most resilient become permanently deformed.. Even the slightest deformation affects accuracy.

    Nice bit of kit but not really applicable in the UK unless shtf as bow hunting is illegal in the UK and with UK law my be considered a concealed weapon and you may find yourself foul of old bill

    • @TheWrinklyNomads
      @TheWrinklyNomads  7 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      That's correct, the UK is on of the few who banned it years ago.
      It's legal just about everywhere else (mainly for game management) - you can even pop over to France to bow hunt if you wanted..!
      Here in the UK you can still hone your skills and go field archery.
      Far better than boring old target archery.
      It's the nearest thing these days and great practice...

      Jaggy Little Thistle bows in the Uk come under the heading of sporting goods not weapons. Provided you use some common sense where you shoot it you should have no problems with the law.

      +UK Preppers Guide my guess is that it's gonna start stacking after 38 inches, but I'm a big boy with a 31 inch draw! , if you get one and you don't like it flog it to me please! , I'm that desperate for one of these that I might make my own :)x

      Hi Brian, yes it's a good bit of kit, and will definitely take down bigger game.
      There is now a limited edition version that is slightly longer, but does not need you to reverse one of the limbs.
      I shall be reviewing that one soon.
