That Pellet gun is too slow to be considered a firearm so I'm not sure if you'd be legally allowed to hunt with it considering many states have mininum velocity requirements. If you're going to shove something in your backpack for a survival situation a handgun or a takedown bow would be better.
Your string has large and small loops .Put the large loop on top limb and slide it down then small loop on low limb that way you just slide the string to the end of top limb for easy stringing and when you add your knock point it will be in same place every time .And use feathers on a bow that is not cut to center the plastic vane is kicking your arrow over at every shot. Cool bow tho Thanks for the vid
Good video brother. May I suggest that first of all that you take your bow to a bow shop and let the pros set it up for you. The trick to accuracy is proper form when shooting and consistency. A knock set will put your arrow at the same height every time. Your anchor point must be the same place every time etc. The brace height must be set properly so that the arrows hit the target straight and not angled left or right and also neither up nor down. A professional will paper train it for you. Then when you unstring your bow be careful to put the string loops together and tied together so that they can't possibly untwist and change your brace height. Keep that measurement written down just in case. I don't mean to sound like a know it all. Please forgive me if I do. I am a former State Champion with a Primitive Longbow. God Bless
I like how you let the first arrow fly and your neighbor comes into frame. lol Great review, I've been interested in these since Chris did his review a few years back. Just bought another bow so it might be a minute before I can make another bow purchase.

Excellent video. mate. I'm not using the Recon, as the Recon will not fit into my medium ALICE-pack. The Recon is 2 inch longer than the regular SAS bow. As I am living in Germany, bow-hunting is a felony here. Of course I carry hunting and Bodkin arrowheads, as they are still legal to buy here, anyway they are illegal to use.
@@SurvivalOnPurpose Even if you have a hunting-license here in Germany. Bow and crossbow hunting is totally illegal and a felony here in Germany. Another good way to set your knock if lost is to tie in an over sized d-loop piece of cord wrapped around the string and then glued into place with a small drop of super glue and if you use a bright color ( orange, white, yellow, ect ) you can see the knock point in low light it helps I have the tactile version of this bow in 45lbs and it works greate.
I tried one of the original versions a few years ago. I absolutely despised that bow. I sent it back without doing a review. It would be an easier pill to swallow if it were under $100. But $220 for a piece of tubular aluminum, 2 brackets and solid fiberglass limbs is just too much. The ergonomics are horrendous and it's slow as molasses. There are some truly high quality bows on the market that can be had for less $. Do a search for the Black Hunter. It's sold under a variety of brands (made in China) but is a takedown bow that is very well made and executed for about $130. There are plenty of other options available if that one doesn't suit you.
Totally agree. Expensive junk. Way better out there that can be taken down and put into a similar pouch. Total garbage. I cant believe people buy this thing.
Saber Max I understand your points. That said, the bow I shot was a review sample. I had it for a few months and even took it to a large traditional archery shoot. I have do doubt the parts are of decent quality. My opinion stems from the execution.
I like the "no assembly required" aspect and what seems like pretty solid construction. Maybe if I was an accomplished archer I'd feel differently but it seems to get the job done for a wannabe like me. The only other takedown model I've tried is the Wrascal bow that was in a Battlbox.
The bows nowhere near cut to center has a d shape limb profile and uses solid glass limbs. All are ways to make an underperforming design. It's a tube of aluminum with solid glass limbs that have no taper. Good stuff.
I once shot a bow that when I released the string, the string caught on my forearm and about ripped it off. Talk about painful. It was like the string had filleted my forearm muscle off. Very memorable.

My only quarrel with this bow is that it really isn't anything new. Takedown Bows where you can take the limbs off the Riser have been around forever. Sure this is a more compact version, but it eliminates the option of having a more sophisticated arrow rest or sight. Plus I don't see it coming in draw weights heavier than 45lbs so I wouldn't use it for anything more than small game (unless it's a survival situation). I see this as more of a backpacking bow instead, this can fit perfectly into a rucksack.
Good content mate, thank you, i was also thinking that maybe that backpack case that holds the bow might have room enough for one of those 21" or 24" saws as well...
My only problem with any bow any more is when I was younger I damaged my shoulder. So I can no longer pull one so I have to use a cross bow and to the best of my knowledge there is no break down cross bow. Only pistol style.

The bow will be easier to string if you slip the top loop of the string on the upper limb before attempting to brace and string the bow. That way all you don't have to go over the upper tip but just slide the upper string loop up the limb and let it fall into the limb tip nock. Also, you can just tie on a string nock point, two points, one above and below the nock is better than one. th-cam.com/video/e789hUCBXI4/w-d-xo.html
