have you thought about feeding long grass to stormy? We found the grass seed regrows really well. And the horses who do overfeed get such low quailty forage that they stuff themsevles and it helps control there overfeeding issues. Since we supplement no grain anyways it was easier to feed off protien or whatever they needed.
We have not! However, our veterinarian recommended no grass at all, so she's on a balanced diet of just grassy hay and some ration balancer. We've since cut out the alfalfa pellets shown in this video. Thanks for the thought though! I might look into it for our other ponies!!
