I know this is an older video, but it’s the first I’m seeing it. It’s a lovely collection, and I’m so envious of anyone who has the PanAm edition products. My dad worked for PanAm for 25 years, right up until the company filed for bankrupcy and stayed through the dispersal of assests and the company’s dissolution. I have so many childhood memories that revolve around PanAm flights and going to his offices in Miami and NYC.

@13:45 that is exactly how my brown piece of leather Travelers Company is behaving. The easiest to scratch and mark up. It is my absolute favorite. super smooth feeling now & moist too from being used and loved. Nice collection I am currently waiting for the Blue Kyoto Travelers Company to arrive. Next month hopefully cant wait I have a feeling that one will feel suede but will see once it makes it to me. I love how each piece of leather, regardless of color, behaves.
Awesome vid! I love my Travelers Company TNs too, own 9, and baby them. I’ve kept all the original packaging for each one and put them back in their packaging when I’m not using them. I only use the standard size. It’s funny how we have our favorites. I use my Starbucks edition the most and the plain black second. The special edition Narita Airport and Tokyo Station haven’t been used yet for my fear of the stamping rubbing off. 😬 I’m waiting for a special event to use them so I can be patient 🙃. It’s nice to see a community where these TNs are loved so much. I’m planning on purchasing the To an Fro for my Christmas gift to myself this year. 😌 Thanks again for sharing.
I love your collection, thank you for taking the time to do the video. The newer Traveler's Company ones are not as heavy a leather as the Midori and the newer ones do have more of a suede kind of feel to them. I really like the Midori better and wish they would have kept the name and the same leather. :)
When I was in High school one of my best friend's father was a Pilot for Pan Am. Funny. Anyway there are different kinds of leather, what I mean is hides from different animals. Plus ways of treating them. I don't have any of these and not sure what the fascination is with this brand. I used to have planners for decades from DayTimer's. They offered a variety of leather covers, fake leather, leather made to look like Ostrich and stuff like that. Different colors. Different sizes. I had a nice burgundy leather one with my initials on a metal thing on the front. Pen loop, but they also had some that zipped closed, ones that were like wallets, some with binder rings in different sizes. Lots of variety. I need to look them up see if they are still in business. Not sure where my leather cover is right now I haven't used it in awhile. Your regular size looks taller than the size I used to use all the time. I've used glove softener (for baseball gloves) to bring back to life a glove I found in a puddle of muddy sandy water. Cleaned it, dried it slowly while conditioning it, and it turned out to be a really nice glove already broken in. My husband didn't even see it in the puddle and told me nothing was there. But somehow I just "knew" there was something in the water. I don't know how to throw a baseball but that is MY glove! haha
Between the travelers company TN’s I’ve bought, gosh they vary so much and it makes me sad! I have some that feel so soft they’re almost suede, “fuzzy” and they scratch up easily (those are my fav) and then others that are so smooth and almost feel like they have a waxy coating over top, and they don’t scratch at all. I don’t like those 🥲 I want to buy another one but I feel like it’s 50/50 chance on what I’ll get lol! I’ve been looking for a used one online so I can know more about it before I buy

I love my Traveler's Company tns! My blue (newest edition) is like the olive, supple, moist and smooth. The only difference is that the blue leather is a bit thicker! Thank you for the beautiful, informative video! I want so much a camel but I am not sure if I want the Starbucks edition or a "regular" one!

My tip would be not to forget to collect the exclusive items from each travelers factory shop, if you are unsure, you can ask the staff and they will point them out to you ;)) Have fun!! I have the Black Airport passport one, but the stamp on the front has been rubbing off since I got it in 2017. I think I want a brown one, but haven’t completely decided. I can tell the difference between the Starbucks and Airport ones you have and totally get what you mean about the dry look, but feels moist. I have the new regular Blue also, and mine is more of a darker blue, closer to Navy. The PanAm Blue is gorgeous!

I watch john rush as well and the 2 of you have started me down the rabbit hole of Midori leather. 🥰 I wish the still made the Olive. I see them on amazon all the time. And I know they are fake. They sell them for $80 and say they are new. They get shipments all the time.I don't think they are authentic.
The shine is most likely from the oils from our hands as we touch them a lot. So I guess that’s why the velvety texture would gradually go away. My black Midori (original) TN got shiny over time I almost forgot what it was like when I got it! Lol

I have noticed that the sold out Olive Traveler's Notebook is available from second-hand vendors for very large sums of money!!! I do not like mine at all - the color looks brown and the texture is not my favorite. We are all different. So pleased you love yours :)

The Starbucks Reserve Edition there looks like “pull-up” leather to me 🤩 and the “moist” ones I suspect are oil-tanned leathers 💗 Nice collection!

I love your olive! Yours is a bit greener than mine. Different leathers that are tanned/colored have different texture to them.
