Ah, the great rearrange! At least that's what it is for me. New bins, new categories of yarn, knitting yarn in addition to the weaving yarn, and bare yarn for the growing yarn dyeing business. My stash is growing by leaps and bounds, and I'm ok with it! Loving your videos!
I had a bunch of rustic worsted that was either a color I wouldn't use (bought in a fit of FOMO) or bits and pieces. I made a bunch of dryer balls with them. Now I have 6 new dryer balls and am very satisfied with my use of the yarn. They are perfect. I love a reorganization video because it gives me ideas for my reorg. You've used quite a bit of yarn this year! That's amazing. I'm working through sock yarns and found a brightly colored skein of Paca Ped that is perfect for SSC. Oh, and I love the babies. A video is always better with pets involved.
Hmmm...I might have some scraps that will felt well...you have me thinking about making dryer balls now. The pets insist on being part of the process! Glad that people like seeing them!
Love seeing the bins get emptied for you! I foresee socks. Lots and lots of socks in your summer knitting plans to get through the big box of summer sock yarn. 😊
@@Thestashdowndiaries I think I'm still at about 12 pairs of socks for gift knits, and then have about that much again for personal knits that may become gifts. It's going to be a socky kinda year for me as well.
Carding wool on my deck while I listened! I've gone down the spinning rabbit hole. I wish I could knit faster! Not buying yarn until Rhinebeck in October. I caved in February. Mosquitoes are out! 😬 Happy week! Knit on!
Hello from Central Ontario. I found you a few months ago and love your content, and orange cats are the best. My word for this year was "contentment" and this meant using up yarn I have. Lost it in May, when I bought two sweater quantities I had no right to buy but the they are now part of my "carefully currated collection" looking good in my china cabinet in my stitching room. You gave me the idea to weight what comes in and what goes out. I too now have a book, pictures of makes in 2024, lables and grams used up. I am really enjoying seeing me use up wool I loved in the first place. There will always be beautiful wool to buy. I drooled over your Briggs and Little collection. I am 100's of km away from a wool shop. But love East coast wool. I am doing summer sock camp too. Not sure why other them to watch others knit them as well. Keep up the good work, enjoy your knits.
I really like following you stashdown journey! But I’m missing seeing numbers on the screen. Would be great to see the calculations on screen rather than on a paper. I’m autistic so that’s why. Just a suggestion of course, love the content! 😃🙌
The animals are the best part of any video! Your animal roommates are very cute.
I think so too!

I call it the Great Yarn Reoganization. Then I have the acronym GYRO. My family finds it funny.

Soooo many socks! That bin will definitely carry over into Socktober!

You did very well! Love the video.
Thank you! I'm actually surprised at how well I did!
Awesome job! This is inspirational and a lot of fun. You have me looking over my stash now. Love the bonus pet appearances, too!
Thanks! Yes, give love to your stash!

I love this time of year except for the mosquitoes and black flies.
Great job! You are an inspiration in my use of stash 🧶💜
That is awesome! Thanks!

Going through the finished object thread or hashtag of a sock knitalong is the best! Orange cats rule!
Nice work! I need to do a little reorganizing myself.
👏👏👏

Thanks for the suggestion! I will start doing that.
Did you want to open a yarn store?❤😂
