my goas this year are finish wips, only buy yarn that I need for specific projects, and use what I have when I can for new projects. I would love a planner diary to assist.
Every single skein of yarn you held up I was like “omg I love that”. It looks like you have a lot of fun projects coming up and I’m excited to see them!
Happy to update the latest from my dryer ball experiments that you don't even really need to knit a sphere to make them! I've recently had success literally just winding yarn into a tight ball (roughly tennis ball shaped but smaller is fine too) and securing the ends with a crochet hook and tossing them in an old tight in a hot high spin washer/dryer cycle :) safe yourself some small circumference knitting if you can!
I love seeing what yarns people have in their collection. I usually only have yarns that are for immediate use and scraps from projects, having a lot of unused yarn lying around gives me anxiety. I'm always looking for ways to use scraps and now I have a design idea but not enough scraps to start it. I need to look into the Berroco cotton.
We both had the same idea with the Noro cardigan! I also was inspired by Typical Bliss' cardigan and have some Madara on the way to me soon! Can't wait to see how yours turns out! Also - those Arcane yarns are stunning!
I love spending time with my yarn stash! When I’m planning a project I love putting together a basket full of options to play with. Are you planning on selling any of your destashed yarn? I saw a couple I’d be interested in. Have a great rest of the week. Christina Portland, Oregon
Love watching your videos, and love seeing your destashes! If you were planning on selling any, I’d definitely be interested (especially the beautiful DK merino balls). Excited to watch your next video
every time I see your mohair scraps it just screams to me Spot Sweater by Anne Ventzel. Looks like such a monster of a project but one day I'll have enough scraps to make the spot sweater of my dreams
WOW 😲 I love the Noro you picked out, I am doing a circumference sweater and using a white silk with multi color sections that's a little bit the same concept but not as beautiful done. I got lucky in a remote town in NM at a thrift to score a small skien of Noro, I think I'll use it in a little bit of color in a sweater now 😊
Love your sock yarn collection! I too am wanting to pair mohair with sock yarn. Will you adjust needle size to accommodate the addition of the mohair? Curious what modifications might be needed.
Hi Bonnie! Typically I like 2.25mm needle for my fingering weight socks. For a sock with mohair, I will go up to a 3mm needle or a 3.25mm needle. I find the 3.25 is much more comfortable for my hands and wrists to knit.
I knit the me oh my! tee by park williams in a fingering weight merino silk blend and I loved it! This video has me wanting to look at my stash and just.. figure things out! I have so many scraps that I struggle to get rid of, I've done scrappy socks where I can, but I'm thinking that maybe a blanket might be the move!
If you are looking for silk t-shirt pattern, Sophie from the_knit_purl_girl has one! It's called Farfa Top, but you'll need at least 4 balls of KFO Pure Silk
Prewash that red yarn with acid if you want to avoid bleeding! The color red when dyeing tends to bind better at a HIGH temps and HIGH acid conditions. Not that the dyer didn't do that when he dyed it, but it never helps to do a prewash with high Temps and high acid as well

Agreed! I have made many dryer balls and no knitting is needed (thankfully, lol). :)
Does the color matter?
Moon Set Tee by Ozetta is made in knitting for olive silk and it’s a great pattern with a nice construction.
Your hair looks beautiful!!
Thank you! Fresh cut 😊

KFO Pure Silk is great for Moon Set Tee by Ozetta :) I have mine in black silk and I love it
Happy knitting!

The yarn is definitely on its way to iconic tier! Which color did you choose?
@@highfiberknits I got #03 - Yen! I believe it's similar to Sake but darker/cooler which is more my style!
a lovely way to use up mohair scraps is to make it into granny squares, it makes a beautiful scarf and i think it makes the squares look so elegant!

Always enjoy your content. We share the same color aesthetic. Would you consider an episode featuring a tour of your yarn stash?
Hi there! I have done stash tours in the past, and I will likely do an updated one in the new year!
Love watching your videos, and love seeing your destashes! If you were planning on selling any, I’d definitely be interested (especially the beautiful DK merino balls).
Excited to watch your next video

the way my jaw literally dropped when you showed us those arcane fibreworks yarns, so beautiful!!!!!
So did mine the first time I saw them! I can’t wait to keep sharing them 😄
What about trying the Gurnsey sweater by Sandnes Garn? I’m going to knit that instead of the petite knit version.

That’s so cool! I don’t think I’ve ever seen Noro in colorwork but I’d bet it will be brilliant!
Knitting for Olive Dot Sweater is a great use of Mohair.
Love your sock yarn collection!

Otherwise, I’ll also adjust stitch counts…a 48 stitch sock at DK weight works for me while with fingering I’ll knit 56 to 64 stitches
I am happy to take that 2nd declutter magenta yarn off your hands.. How much do you want?

Team blanket!! I’ll have to check out that tee pattern!

Arcane Fibre is based in Alberta and I’m OBSESSED
I’m working on my second Anthology Throw . I am loving it . Sock yarns from the advents etc , . Check it out .
Ouuu yes I’ve seen this pattern and it’s beautiful!
Was wondering I got that you are Canadian and possibly from Ontario ? I’m in Easter Ontario south of Ottawa !
You say you are having fun, but too often you sound on the verge of tears…….
Haha that might just be the cadence of my speaking! I do tend to take a lot of pauses, but I promise a good time!
