I would say Huddersfield and Birmingham have done the best business so far. And pair that with the fact they both have strong sides already i think were in for an exciting title race

I'm 100% Marc Leonard was sat on our bench watching the Rangers game. I looked down to the right off Davies and he was picking up the water bottles.

Having just seen Blues 2 Rangers 1, I was hugely impressed with the way we played. These new signings are fully integrated into an effect style of play. Our fortunes on the pitch are clearly about to match our fortunes off it. CD has found a bunch of smart, ambitious and hardworking players who all love the way we play. It's already like watching a well-oiled machine. We just need now to buy a tin of Brasso and we'll be fine.
Thank you for your comment. The Rangers first half performance was fantastic and if that is the way we are going to play this season and beyond then we are going to be very successful.
The players we have recruited all seem hungry and already you can see a team spirit and togetherness like we have not seen for a very long time. We also seem to have a young coach who clearly knows what he wants and lets the players know what he expects.

Don’t write off Crawley they play very very good football. They will surprise a lot of teams.

I would say Birmingham and Bolton have done the best business so far in my opinion

Hi Matt and Gary I am very impressed with the effort and commitment our owners have shown. It is a year since Trevor Francis died RIP. I have heard that there will be a statue of him placed near the cop. I am looking forward to the new season. Thanks for posting throughout the summer.
Thank you for your comment Lisa. Absolutely. The owners have backed up everything they said they were going to do and have invested into the squad in this transfer window with some fantastic signings.
I read that the club have commissioned a statue of Trevor Francis which as you point out will be located somewhere near the Kop, probably in or close to the new fan zone. What a player Trevor was and I'm sure he will be looking down with a smile at the amazing things that are happening to our great club. KRO and kind regards (Gary)

Think it will be a tough season cos obviously games come thick and fast and it’s a very physical league but pretty confident we will do well

I think that we will have some tough periods during the season especially when injuries and suspensions happen however the players we have brought in give us an exceptionally strong squad, not just a best starting eleven. Squad depth has been our problem for years, but not anymore! KRO and kind regards (Gary)

I'd love it if Birmingham fell on their faces - If only because of the self assured arrogance of their fans who seem to think they have promotion signed, sealed and delivered, even before a ball has been kicked.
Take it from a fan of another ex Prem club now in League 1 - It deffo ain't gonna be the walk in the park you think.
You are gonna to have to fight tooth and nail for EVERY point.
You consider yourselves a MASSIVE club.
Wake up and smell the coffee - You're in League ONE now on merit.

I think that a lot of rival teams fans will feel the same as you and will want us to fail and to be honest, if I saw another club in our league continually breaking the League One transfer record and bringing in the quality of players we have then I think I would feel the same as you.
The truth is that after years of neglect and a failing team we finally have amazing owners who are willing to invest in our club. We are enjoying spending money on transfer fees for the first time in I don't know how many years after only being able to get free transfers and loans to fill our squad.
Other fans may call us arrogant however Birmingham City fans are loyal and passionate about our club and we never take ourselves too seriously and always enjoy great banter with opposition team fans. I'm sure that there will be a few Birmingham fans who will wind up other fans on social media however it really is just banter, not arrogance.
You say you are a fan of another League One club. If you do manage to get to St.Andrew's with your team this season then contact me a few weeks before and myself and Matt will arrange to meet up with you for a drink and we will show you that Birmingham City supporters are not arrogant at all, and that we just love supporting our club. Burton Albion have new owners, the Nordic Football Group. It's a whole new setup there. They'd looked at Shrewsbury Town previously but their chairman wanted an cash investment rather than a takeover. Whether it will, improve the club's fortunes is yet to be seen.

I think the only player that might leave is JJ and if that's the case, despite the fact i don't want him to leave overall this window of ins and outs will have been fantastic.
We're going to be the team to beat and the team everyone wants to beat.
Massive respect to all of the clubs in League One and their respective business. Blues are just in a very fortunate position that we have fantastic people now running our club, which we more than deserve after years and years of rubbish ownership.

Thank you for your comment Richard. We have certainly done some fantastic business already, beyond anything I ever thought we would be ever able to do to be honest, and we are not finished yet!
It is likely that Marc Leonard will be announced soon and he was one that a lot of teams were after! We are also likely to see more players arriving before the end of the transfer window to strengthen what is already a very strong squad. If we were still in the Championship I would be happy with these signings however to have them in League One is insane! KRO and kind regards (Gary)
@SmallHeathAllianceFC you're absolutely right. The fact that we're able to attract the calibre of players despite the fact that we're in League One is insane!!!
Like you say also the fact that we're competing with other clubs and getting the deals across the line says so much about the club. The fact we're not just competing with teams in League One bit the Championship too says all that we need to know about the club.
Marc Leonard is another major signing, so hopefully, he will be announced soon..
Without a doubt, our most important and impressive signing has been Chris Davies. You would just want to play for him. What a manager we have on our hands. All those involved in bringing him to the club really did their homework. What a total masterstroke!!
All we really want and need now is the Jay Stansfield cherry on the cake signing!!! Come on Blues!!!!!! 🤞🤞

I would say Birmingham have bought the best players but I would put town forward for the best window in terms of the quality we’ve got in for so cheap (1 million) . It’s looking like we are going to get a further 2 premier league loans .
Leonard is done heard Twine is coming too. Great business for us, our only question imho is grit. Do we have it to cope in this league? Lets hope so kro guys

Wrexham fan here in peace. So looking foward to this season and in particular playing the likes of Blues. You will be under pressure to win the league. I think you will, but it won’t be easy. Wrexham transfer business has ben great. Okonkwo was best keeper in L1 last year; Brunt was Mansfields number one target according to Clough; Dobson was Charlton captain; Revan has played in Europe for Villa. We just need a striker to play up top with Mullin (when fit). I predict playoffs for us and automatics for you, as likely winners. KRO and come on you Reds. PS. We have the best owners ever!
