Another amazing vlog Leon. You interview the most wonderful people. I loved the restaurant, so quaint, so nicely decorated. I love roosters and hens and use to collect them for my own kitchen before I sold my house a few years ago. So excited and happy for all of you in France being able to get out and enjoy life with friends and family in the beautiful rural countryside. xoxo

Leon my friend you did it again.
You found a four star ⭐⭐⭐⭐ restaurant in rural France. I am sure it is not The only one. But really your friend"s appetizer of the beets with goat cheese and your dish of escargot in Cream on potatoes. WOW !!! The presentation was absolutely amazing . Not a bad way
to spend a damp afternoon. The scenery was quite impressive I am

I always enjoy your vlogs along with the beautiful music. However, this vlog was of particular interest as I have dined there many times and look forward to doing so again. The food and service are always so good and Olivier never breaks into English when I use my halting French to order. I have friends who lived in Champsac and some in Gorre who regularly dine there. I am so glad the restaurant business has survived.

I wish them well with the re-opening. We here in NYC have had outdoor dining since just before Christmas last year and we sat outside in the snow to be able to go to a restaurant..I have every confidence that the French WILL NOT stay home because of rain when they can go to a restaurant and enjoy wonderful food like this! Lol. Rain coats and hats along with rain galoshes would probably have been better apparel for this particular outing. So nice to see pictures of some of your other friends as well. Leon you and your friend are so lucky to have a fabulous restaurant like that close by. Oliver and Natasha seem like the nicest people, so open and friendly. I was eating every mouthful of that gorgeous looking food with you both, except for the escargot which I have never tried, but .... it did look tempting and delicious all the same and it made me want to try. I would love to go there, the prices I thought were very good too, for clearly they are very experienced chefs, and I recognised the very well renown names they have worked with over the years. I loved Oliver’s explanation of why they wanted to get out of the city, and to be able to get to know their patrons and have time for a chat, I love that. wow the interior decor and ambience of the Le Relais de Gorre looked fantastic and i loved the chicken theme, especially the chicken in the costume in the windowsill leant against the sewing machine . I loved the red check tablecloths. The main course of your meal looked amazing but forgive me Leon but the starters i wouldnt be brave enough to try the escargots the thought of eating snails makes my eyes water. And the other starter shirleyann had looked amazing but again i dont like goats cheese as i say it tastes goaty my husband loves it though . Sitting out in the pouring rain under the big umbrella added to the experience as it would have been so nice for you to enjoy getting out and experiencing eating out again after all the lock downs and i would say that it may be a little warmer where you were.
I really enjoyed both of this weeks videos thankyou so much Leon and i hope you have a great weekend. I see from the map that was shown on the buying in rural france bonus video Nevers is in your area of course thats where St Bernadette Lies in the convent of Nevers .

Ag siestog, ek is so baie bly en dankbaar vir julle part dat julle weer vry kan rond beweeg en besighede open.
Ek kan dink daardie uiteet was een van die hoogtepunte van die jaar en kon selfs reën julle genot nie demp nie! Wonderlik!
    Mooi week vir jou!

Dankie Helana - ek dink dit was my hoogtepunt!!

The sound quality is poor during yr conversation with Olivier. Maybe the masks are muffling the sound, plus his accent is occasionally hard to understand? But I had to turn up the volume, and still didn't catch everything.

I'm sorry to hear that Michele - the sound was fine when I edited it but the problem was that he spoke in varying volumes, sometimes soft, then loud and I had to balance it to avoid distortion. Of course the masks always muffle the sound and you have to get used to his heavy French accent - at least he tried to answer everything in English, something very few French people will attempt.
I also need to inform you that I only had one night (Wednesday after the lunch) to edit the video as it had to be uploaded on Thursday morning. I therefore apologise if my concentration slipped at 2 in the morning.
