You are so right about the parks in France. Whether big or small, they seem to create little oasis's. Children playing in the playground, old-timers reminiscing on the benches, teenagers lying on the grass, hanging out and young lovers strolling through the floral gardens hand-in-hand... I saw all this one warm September evening in Mulhouse (of all places) 10 years ago. The memory of it still makes me smile!
Maria a girl after my own heart, she is so spontaneous. Who can resist paddling in a little river on such a beautiful day. Leon beautiful music to go with the beautiful garden. I could just sit there and soak in the atmosphere. Peaceful even though it was in the middle of a town. Thank you Leon as usual great content. Hope you are enjoying the weekend.❤️
Thank you Priscilla, a real haven and I love the little beach they created. Having a peaceful weekend - it's raining and I will light the coal stove soon for some heat. Have an amazing week XXX
So much fun! Love the herb garden. I would have dipped my toes in the river, too. The most elegant brocante I've seen on TH-cam. Nice to dream. I'm glad to have been in the company of the intrepid three!
Thank you Bernadette! Hahaha, the water was freezing but according to Maria refreshing. You are the first to mention the interior of the brocante - I also thought it to be well-organised and elegant. Join us again next week - till then, have an amazing week!
Beautiful music selection for the garden tour! I am always amazed at how reasonable the prices are on wardrobes in France. The library case was amazing for that price. Just think of all the work that went into just the carving! Thank you, dear Leon, for another lovely video! 🥰
Thank you Kimberly! I am still sorry I shipped my wardrobes over from SA - I could have saved a lot by buying them here. Have an amazing week Kimberly XXX
Maria is such a free spirit! Also, do you know the childhood trick with the honeysuckle? Take one of the blossoms, tweak off the very bottom end a little, then gently pull the stamin through the horn and touch it to your tongue to taste the sweet honey. ☺💛
Such a lovely trip taken by 3 wonderful people! The bridge running over the river is so beautiful. Glad you made time to enjoy nature and beautiful treasure at the brocante. Can't wait for the next video! Thank you for sharing!
That’s showbiz, leave them wanting more! There will be many of us looking forward to next Leonsday. Thank you for another vlog full of beauty and interest. Oh and of course your trademark, lovely music.
I love spending time with you, Ludi and Maria, three of my favorite people! The garden and river were so fragrant (I can imagine) and peaceful; somewhere to replenish the soul. The brocante was filled with so many wonderful and beautiful things! Most out of my price range, I’m afraid. The carved cabinet is amazing! Thank you dear Leon for letting us tag along with the three of you. Sending love and best wishes.
Just love your outings with your friends Leon always a laugh enjoyed together the gardens just lovely I too grew honeysuckle from a cutting love the fragrance😍The brocante just eye popping so beautiful I want I need😀Look forward to see what you found Leon no doubt an exquisite piece Thankyou for the joy😍❤️👌👌
Bonjour Brenda ! I always have such a relaxing time with them, filled with laughter. I love honeysuckle - did you grow it from a cutting?? Maybe I should ask Nadège for a cutting of hers. I did find something in the end - till next week XXX
I love Maria. She still has a wee bit of the wild child in her. I too would have taken off my shoes and walked in the river. The herb garden is so nice. It made me miss the one I had at my last house. Now I grow just a few cooking herbs on my patio in the Spring and Summer. Wonderful, wonderful pieces in the brocante, but some were quite a bit over my budget. The library you looked at is glorious, such beautiful carvings and I think 650 is a good and reasonable price. Hope you found what you are looking for and I will wait until next week to see what happened. Wishing you, Maria and Ludy a wonderful weekend. xxxxx
Thank you, thank you dear Gypsy! The water was extremely cold, trust me but I suppose quite refreshing, hahahaha. The library cabinet is beautiful - a real treasure. I did find something eventually :-) Hope you have an amazing week XXX
Oh, Leon, that is just evil, making it two parts... 😂 So many lovely things.... The clocks, the chandeliers, the furniture... I loved the carved library cabinet! 😍 That €600 dinner service looked like, it had never been used! And so many plates!
Sorry Rasmus! It was just too long and I could not get myself to cut anything - so many more beautiful things to come! I loved the dinner service too but I hardly use all mine. The carved cabinet was to die for but wait till you see the rest!!
Hello my friend. I hope all is well with you. The gardens were very pretty.....a lovely tranquility about them. From what I have observed the French put a garden in where ever they can. I believe that is one of the things that makes France so endearing. Maria and Ludy both are looking well. Leave it to Maria to go wading in the river !! I was quite amused because she really looked like she was cold. The brocante was tempting as usual...I was thankful for distance. The most intriguing to me was that gorgeous bibliotique. I could not believe that the price was so reasonable !!! Over here it would be selling for around 3-6 thousand depending on what part of the country. The intricate work reminded me of David and Lesleys furniture and their chateau. Another piece that caught my eye was a marble and stone half moon table. It looked lovely ! It could have been all marble it was hard to tell. I can't wait to see what you purchased. Well whatever you chose I am sure it is lovely. Take care and stay safe and I will look forward to seeing you next week.
Thank you dear Maryanne!! Yes, the river water was freezing!!!! I also took to the library cabinet - incredibly priced too. I will have to go back to view the half moon table. Have an amazing week till we go shopping again!!!
You do like to tease! Love the brocantes. I watch you walk through and all I can think of is the history of each piece and how many people loved those pieces. Beautiful brocant but pricey. I hope you found what you were looking for. What a great herb garden. Wish we had a smell button we could push through smell those late blooms. Thank you Leon.
Hahahaha, sorry Kristine! It was too long for one vlog and too precious to cut! The smells were amazing, especially the honeysuckle. You will have to wait till next week to see if I found something :-) Have an amazing week X

Bonjour Leon, Maria, and Ludy! What a lovely beginning to a lovely day!!! Now that was a dream garden, I wish I could have smelled all of the wonderful aromas being emitted there. Honey Suckle grows wild everywhere here. Gardenia is one of my favorites, such an intoxicating fragrance! Hello Linda, the brocante outing was as relaxing as the beautiful garden. Honeysuckle is wonderful and you're right - its fragrance is magic at night, fills the whole garden.

Is that cranberry glass @ 14:43? ? IF it is, it will have been made with gold in the molten glass. If so, it should ring like a bell.

'River' in French is feminine, not female. Similarly, a noun is masculine, not male. Male and female refer to living things.
