WOW, PC World used to do this with there junk computers. Cheap parts and that is the most ketchup and mustard cables I have seen in a PC for years. Also that PSU will be like a fireworks display in your case when it lets go and taking all your parts with it lol Good Job Walmart.
My first PC was a PC World prebuild, i payed £800 for an ex display pile of crap in 2005, i quickly started to learn how to build my own PC after that and ive never looked back.
Solution: Get long-ass cables for the PSU and put in a shed in the backyard or hang it from the window just in case... Away from the less-volatile parts... D:
even though cable came lose, this PC would actually boot and has better cable management so no Verge is still worse, but walmart did put a lot of paste on cooler for CPU and Power supply is shit 500 like come on should of been 550 or 600 at lease if you try game anything on higher settings or demands more out of your Video card the system is going shut down.

Kind of like Hynix RAM. Which is IBM (now Lenovo) OEM brand of products. Which (even though IBM in part owns them) DELL products are notorious for using.
Lots of fans in the front, but no real gaps for actual airflow. Reasonably useless. Made by people wanting to make a buck, but not really knowing what they're getting into.
I belive they used 3 fans in the front without a dustfilter for the looks. If there was only RGB fans there it would look stupid. If they could they would have used just 1
if we are being honest here, all case manufacturers do this. it's like they have no idea what their product is for, or they just don't care and are stupid. but honestly i can't say i am mad , i am more amazed by it than anything : the fact there are 10s or even 100s of case brands, competing with each other for sales, and yet none realized that we want good airflow, it's amazing really.

I love building computers and built some pretty nice rigs in the day (although the best rig so far is my own personal computer). When I was at work I was talking about a rig I made in South Korea (best place to find cheaper prices in person than online if I am being honest) and a co-worker heard. He asked me if I could build him a computer since he doesn't know or have the patience in doing so. I agreed and gave him three different computer build list (basic gaming, mid tier gaming, and future proof gaming with best parts at the time). He bought all the parts for the future proof and let me put it together. Gave him a free copy of windows since I do have access to free window activation codes. I think he spent 1800 dollars on the parts where similar price computers would be lacking in the reliable strength in multiple areas. Point is, if you don't want to build your own or pay more on Alienware, just ask a friend or see if someone you may know is willing to do it for you. I still got paid, but I didn't overcharge on the task.
My stomach hurts just from looking at it. I'm deeply sorry for anyone who received this/purchased this for someone as a gift. Don't feel too bad, *return it while you still can!*
Doesn't look that bad to me. Aside from the PSU (which admittedly is a big factor) everything else is pretty par for the course. It's a Walmart PC: you get what you expect. This isn't Origin or even CyberPower PC, it's Walmart. It's got a decent, if cheap, GPU from a reputable company, a decent, if cheap, mobo from a reputable company, a decent, if cheap, HDD and SSD from reputable companies, and decent, if cheap, RAM from a reputable company. Assuming you don't get a DOA build (like this one would have been for most people), it's going to do the job with minimal fuss. Plus, PCs don't need nearly as much wattage as all those PSU calculators make it seem. Especially not with the increased efficiency of modern processors. 500W is pushing it, but for a PC with practically no expandability, it may just be enough.
@@ScruffedCS But you have to understand, majority of the target audience these systems are aim for for aren't going to do that. And why would they after spending $1.4K on a mid ranged system.

i paid 20$ to a tech store in my country to build a pc from components i chose and it came to me fully functional with all drivers installed, proper airflow, and most importantly with proper cable management (all cables grouped together if possible and immidiately put behind motherboard)
@@julesking8355 computer graphics are better then console but if you only got a 500 dollar budget i suggest sticking to console or else you will have Minecraft graphics
Red D come to the master race , watch like 40 hours of how to build, get on amazon and do it! My only advice. Make sure all your parts are correctly compatible with each other, that was my first mistake but I prevailed
This completely hurts to watch as someone who has some knowledge about PCs... They are making a huge margin. They just used the cheapest stuff they could get tbh. U Pay 1400$ and u get like 900-1000$ value
Because of the case/Ram and aftermarket cooler, they probably saved more than that. I'm thinking Walmart rakes in $350 gross profit and probably pays a $75 license fee to eSports Arena.

@@cpanic1153 Shipping probably isn't really an issue but yeah I've seen multiple of them plastic shrouds come off when attempting to remove an actual cable from the header. Glueing one in place will definitely make sure it won't ever come off and it doesn't harm anything else on the board either. I'm not quite sure why Steve was bothered by that as much as he was.
@@buca117 Yeah, it works and the PSU isn't the best but is that extra $400 or so v.s. DIY worth it?
