I've heard it either way - I can't remember where I read it, but I've heard that due to practicing foul magic some shaman are cursed to never fully take on the form they choose. Thus, they become only partly that chosen animal.

I'm Native American from the Sisseton-Wahpeton Lake Traverse Sioux Reservation in South Dakota. We have an area called Sicca Hollow, and its haunted. I've heard things there at night, and refuse to walk in the hollow. There are many legends of the hollow, with only 1 on the wiki link. There is also a big boulder called Ghost Rock that glows in the dark. Even during the day time you can hear voices and the sound of horses. But at night it's even scarier. As I said I won't go into the hollow at night.

I’m Navajo myself and I heard that it’s one of the hardest languages to learn in the world. I don’t speak it at all but I just know simple words and phrases

I believe that All legend's and myth's are born from truth, the stories need to come from something that held enough significance for the tribal elders to pass down to the next generation. so these "warnings" become myth and legend by the generations of the story being passed down from one generation to the next.
Im part Native American and my hometown is known for Native American hauntings and the history of Native Americans. I cannot tell you enough of how many paranormal activities I've encountered with my great grandmother. She was full native and I somehow got her talent of "being one with land". Always had animals come near me (including the buffalos when I was younger) and having a natural green thumb... Native American legends are never something to mess around it.

That fog story sounds similar to this field I pass by on my way to school every day. Its right next to a highway and every morning theres a bunch if fog on it but its just on the field no where else. I live in texas and it hets pretty foggy alot but even when its not. That field still is. Creepy

I live with the unfortunate curse of being a highly sensitive psychic and see spirits and demonic creatures every day. I have many stories of my encounters with the supernatural and maybe one day I’ll have the skill to write some of them into stories and submit them. But until that day I’ll stick with watching.
It’s not a curse it’s a gift friend. I do understand though because I have the gifts too and have experiences everyday. When I was younger it was like a magnet for negative entities and I tried everything to disconnect including becoming addicted to opiates. Now that I’m older I have realized we are gifted and it’s a blessing. We just usually don’t have anyone to guide us and while your young it’s very hard. I hope you will see the blessing in your abilities and learn to use them on amazing ways to help yourself your loved ones and the community. We all are very powerful beings but give it away to programmed beliefs and conditions we think are beyond us. Reclaim your powers and do not fear anything. Higher (positive) energy is a great way to keep those negative pesky entities away. They eventually don’t even see you because your on a higher level of energy then them. These things are attracted to us because we are batteries people are batteries for spirits that are negative vibrations. They need energy source and use our negative emotional responses to feed them. Fear anger grief depression feeds them. I highly recommend researching for yourself and learn how reality truly works. Joe dispenza is a great introductory teacher as well as Neville Goddard. No lie, this legit put my two month old to sleep so that I could take a shower! Had it playing on the blue tooth speaker, and freaked out when I had to rinse my hair! Opened my eyes half expecting to see a skinwalker in my shower with me!

The fog one reminds me of when I was a kid. If it was foggy out, none of us kids went out too far from home. It wasn't that our parents told us not to, we just all felt weird about it- like something was hiding in it.

I’ve got Native American blood. BlackFoot. When I was in the Rez with my younger cousins and sisters, we would play on our grandparents round bales. As night time fell I started to get a little jumpy, but we had our uncles there with us. Then my grandpa and grandma came out and yelled at us to come inside. I asked why and my grandma said “Because of the SkinChangers.” I didn’t really know what skinchangers were. But they sounded an awful lot like a *S K I N W A L K E R* (code word: SW) And me being fascinated by those creatures, I wanted to learn more. My grandma told me mostly what they were “They are supernatural creatures who have gained the power to change into different people and animals. They are also known as Skin takers or body takers.” “And don’t forget, don’t look out the window at night, *AND* don’t even think about taunting them, or else you would be inviting them inside, and they will take your skin.” This chilled me to the bone. And still to this day, I never look out the window at night.

When I first heard several years ago that horror and terror were added to the endangered species list, I have dedicated my entire life to spooping kind folks like you.
Wow, the ads are starting getting a bit out of hand, I got hit with 12 ads! Not Cool. The video is only 49mins long with 5 stories. 12 ads... That's like a ad every 3½ to 4 minutes, that's ridiculous!!!
I totally get you need the revenue from the ads to make all the content we enjoy but that's overboard.
Mid roll ads are the worst, they completely Ruin a story's flow! One minute you're totally engaged in a story only to be ripped out of it bc of a stupid Poorly placed ad.
Occasional mid roll ads are tolerable when there's 1 maybe 2 in a story but when you get hit with more than that in a single story it just makes you want to say screw it and just stop watching.
Hate to do it but I disliked the video, even though these are my favorite stories and they were really good. Bc it doesn't matter how good the story is or how good the narration is, when you get bombarded with 12 ads in 49mins it ruins it 🤷 looks like it's time to go back to watching Mortis, Dr Creepen, Dark Sominum and Creepy Ghost Stories where it's more about the stories.

In regards to the encounter, centered upon the fog that tends to, frequently, accumulate in the forest preserve, located across the streetfrom the author's long-time, childhood home: During the course of detailing his encounter, this person mentions, on multiple occasions, how he believes, the aforementioned fog, to be meteorologically unsubstantiated, due to its formation, failing to be linked to any form of precipitation. In response to this, I would just like to say, that rather than developing, and continuing to, indefinitely, nurture a completely irrational, and absurd, fear, of this fog, and believing it to be anomolous, based, solely, on unfounded, personal conclusions, that you've ignorantly adopted, in regards to the root cause, of this particular weather event, you should, simply, take five, short minutes, to learn more about fog, and how it is formed, on our planet; as such a simple, educational immersion, into this subject, could yield truly transformative results, in terms of your thoughts, and belief patterns! The formation of fog, on any given occasion, is not contigent upon there being precipitation, in that area, as you, clearly, believe it to be. Rather, fog forms as a result of cold, dense air, moving over a warm body of water. The clashing of these temperatures, and the subsequent mixing of the cool air, with the warm, moist air, that is present, over the water, causes the moist air to cool, until its humidity level reaches 100%, thus yielding the formation of fog!
Now, with that said, the mind is an incredibly powerful mechanism. It is, now, a rather well known fact, that our beliefs, 100%, shape our reality, here, in the physical world. Due to your long-held, personal beliefs, of this fog, being anomolous, and the corresponding fears that such a belief, then seemed to justify, it would seem, to me, that your negative experiences, surrounding the fog, were, actually, little more, than products of your own creation; seeming to take shape in your reality, as terrifying events, when, truth be told, they were, actually, events, brought to fruition, by nothing, and no one, but your, very own, mind, as the culprit! If you change your beliefs, then you change your reality. It is just that simple.😌

This one time when I was about 9 my mom went to go play bingo and left me at my house by my self. Literally about 30 minutes after my mom left I heard the loudest and most petrifying scream from outside, it scared me so bad I fell to the ground with tears flowing on to my shirt. I was stuck on the ground for about another 15 minutes, that’s when I heard it again, followed with the sound of a tree falling, I looked out my front window when I saw a large, 8 foot tall creature standing still about 15 meters away from the window I was looking out of, when al of the sudden it turned its head facing me, I kid you not the thing leaped over 2 story fucking house, I then quite literally pissed my pants, and blacked out.

I'm very leery of native superstition so when I hear of my ancestors having cursed objects, land or haunted by native ghosts, skinwalkers, the fog in the Kickapoo Meadows, I give my ancestors the respect deserved and turn the other way! I'm running on four hours of sleep, man. You can't just announce the locations "Kickapoo Meadows" and "Dixmoor, Illinois" within twenty seconds of each other and not expect me to laugh myself to tears in the break-room of an international tech company.
People do know that ouija boards don't really summon native american sprites, right? Much less witch like objects, unless her friend was doing wiccan related things, witches I think don't care about the land unlike Wiccans.
Really if what she encountered was a skinwalker, it possibly attached to her because of her fear and because they talked about it. It's considered if you speak about them, they will follow you, which is why if you encounter one it's wise to never talk about it.
I was told of a old Cree scary story of a being called"pa-chiep-sta-gwon" translates to "rolling head" in English. Terrifying story my dad told me of that being that was just a head that rolls around trying to find its body. And eats children. Scary stuff.

White wolves don’t inhabit that region, it could have been a husky mix with an Irish greyhound, or a Great Dane, Irish greyhounds are known to make wolf like sounds
Im native and I know stories and monsters... I know more about Skin Walkers that live near places where sightings have happened they are originally summoned by natives or so called "Witches" who speak power or revenge... Other stories are not as scary but that is on of them
