As a Mercy main this isn't really impressing me - she's never once been focused by the other team, which makes Mercy a LOT easier.

as a Life-long Mercy main i have to say just watching you move like that really inspires, I mean, I am by no means bad, and KNOW mercy should be able to move like that, but have never been able to Quite get to that level... but actually seeing it, man... you make it look easy...

@@th3.f0r3st as a sombra main, I apologise in advance if I target supports out of spawn. Usually I don’t do this because I know it’s really frustrating and tilting (even if it’s my job)
Usually I just hack shield tanks, snipers, supports that are contributing
Also if my teammate is being harassed/hunted, whether it’s a DPS or support, I run to hack the enemy chasing them and then kill them togeyher
The map and players awareness you need to have to pull this off is insane. I can barely keep focus on what's in front of me. This is pretty badass.

the movement in this is insane!!!! i noticed (i think) it helps to get to know the maps, which you can only learn from experience. so ive been gaming a lot LOL trying to find those GA escape spots
agree with the movement, naisu. but mind that there was a lack of pressure on mercy, and enemy team being counter picked by pharah (sym, hello? D:) flying around freely like this on high ranks feels like a luxury tbh

the soujourn and widow were both trying to counter the pharmercy here, the mercy just has good enough movement to make the counter nontrivial. always in the air, so hard flicks are needed instead of strafe shots. maybe not obvious but this person is also aware of where the enemy hitscan is a majority of the time and they are structuring their dashes specifically so that they put a wall between them and the enemy hitscan. mercy dash cooldown is incredibly low and this person abuses it well to force it so the only way the hitscan can see them is if they overextend. see 8:00, dash to left click the ana and immediately rebound because the widow is looking down mid). big tip is you dont need to maintian los or distance to heal, beam can overextend/gothruwalls, if you want to keep healing that person you just need to regain los/distance within 3seconds. movement not perfect, see 4:00 overcooked the superjump, had to duck and hope the 60 tick didnt get them. never res in an obvious spot, res behind a wall if possible or falling from a ledge, or measure the cadence of the fight for kills/unusual res opportunities (7:33) where people aren’t paying attention to stragglers.
what’s more surprising for me is how much time is spent damage boosting, the amount of time damage boosted on the genji is unreal. normally you look at the pharah but this mercy is enabling the genji so much that it does offset the fact that mercy barely does damage, and it seems enough to survive at this rank. somewhat unrelated but 9:42 pocket genji blade is *damage boost* which is definitely correct, if he resets he doesnt die, heal only if he’s like 20hp or something (unfortunately he gets headshotted). dash at 9:48 is on a vector specifically to end up behind the wall again so the widow has no bead (can use dead teammate as dash target, the jump dash can be redirected in any direction), wait out the timing and dash out (abuse long dashes since you go faster, if you’re going fast enough it makes it really hard to guarantee a flickshot, note dash speed is also much faster when ulting and you can slingshot into farther positions more safely due to sheer speed, ie the widow kill at 7:33). honestly, playing a lot of widow/cassidy/ashe in qp helps a LOT in playing mercy because you can empathize with what theyre trying to do and their aim timings, and counterplay it.

I've very recently started playing Overwatch and really enjoy playing support particularly Mercy. I didn't really understand her movement abilities until I started watching more TH-cam videos.
I'm still in unranked bc I'm generally not very good but I got an "I love you Mercy" after a good res that helped us alot. Feels good man. I get it.
