Her movement literally feels like everything sometimes! There are always the occasional moments where people are too focused on a flying mercy to notice that your team is around shooting at them. It’s always a good feeling when a team fight is won because you were too busy trying not to die and flying around everyone and everything.
I feel like, Ball for tank, Pharah for DPS and Mercy and Lucio force the enemy team to switch their attention constantly, or even change picks to counter them.

I think that Winston could have killed you if he had actually pursued you. I have it happen all the time. If they actually stay on you, instead of instantly give up, he's pretty much a solid Mercy counter. So it's really on him for just giving up instantly every time he jumped. His weapon damage is nuts and the range on it is too. lol But I do love her new movement. It makes it, it's so fluid and fun and can cover so much distance.
I agree with this!! The amount of times that I've died while being at max beam range because an enemy monkey ignored my entire time to chase me as I zip around on Mercy is insane.
yeah if you're a low elo mercy on the ground. but she was in the air almost the entire time, used cover and positioning well too. winston couldn't reach her long enough to kill her.

Disagree with you imo. She doesnt need a buff because Mercy is easily S tier support character. Her movement is flexible and in the hands of the right player can become very annoying to counter or fight. Her primary healing also does more heal per second than all the other support characters. Her rez ability is also clutch at times. As long as you can stay alive and dont die you can carry as a support.

If you play her right you will be barely loosing Ive started playing on OW2 and only used Mercy on comp I was placed gold and Now im Diamond 4 overall shes not bad at all! I do agree about the healing but shes one of the easiest Support to peel for her team with her GAs low cd

the second game was nervewrecking but you slayed! it reminds me the second placement match I played where my team stomped the enemy team and we only needed literally ONE TICK to win, and somehow we still lost! i got so disappointed that I stopped played comp after that lol my first match had a quitter and i was already losing my sh!t 😂 i still enjoy watching other play tho
I really love Mercys new movement! The 100% air uptime you can have is lovely, since people have issues looking up apparently. Have had games where the enemies picked 3 heroes to counter me flying around (including Winston and Genji) and still didnt manage. Shouldve picked Widow, she's the only hero I respect when playing Mercy.
dude, seriously its still hard being support on lower rank....there are so many new players with zero game sense!!! I mercy main also but damn, its like doing nothing when DPS has zero kill and they all just expect me to go over them and then heal then die cuz they don't know how to get into LOS or safe area
Im new with mercy and support in general and she is really fun, especially the movement. But ranked can be really annoying. Im bronze 2 and I dont know if im supposed to play perfect but people can be so toxic. Often I cant really tell if I was good or not ^^
Mercy depends on her team almost to a 70%, so if your team is not very good, the amount of mistakes that you can do as Mercy increases because of other teammates bad positioning/game sense. I always compare my games with bad teammates and good teammates to remind myself that I don't actually play bad, I know what I'm doing but sometimes I have to take some risky decisions/positioning that I would've never took if my team was better overall. Also, I've noticed that her heals are not enough as a main healer, so it doesn't matter how much I heal, everyone dies very quickly.
@@Nikoru_11 Yeah shes definitely not a main Healer. My average is about 7k/10min and I really try to step it up a little but honestly the matches are often so short because one team or the other dominates so much.
climbing ranks as mercy is very difficult cuz she relies very heavily on her team's performance and doesn't do much damage herself. it's easier if u main a hero that also deals damage, ofc u would have to be good at that hero. coming from someone who used to main mercy in bronze with 9k/10min healing who got around 2-5 kills per game and only climbed from bronze to gold (still working to climb more) when i became a moira main

But when I was bronze 2 and got seven wins I was deranked to bronze 3 again what was pretty disappointing cause the system does not tell you why x) Now I managed to get to silver 5 from bronze 2 but I dont think I was much better than before. I really like playing her over other supports and of course, I dont do much damage or kills but I kinda thought the stats are treated differently by the rank system depending on what hero you play^^
@@felixb.788 Its actually really good because mercy is mostly paired with main sups so you can focus on dmg boost and heal the squishies and your main sup can heal the tanks (obviously you can help your main sup sometimes) So don‘t feel bad if you have less healing then the other support ^^
Highly dependent on teammates not putting obstacles between you and them. Mine love to hide themselves from me even when I'm in the air. The other thing is getting focused down by enemies and my teammates scatter & abandon me or don't come to my defense. Makes me so mad
It's quite complicated when there's people trying to target you, Genji and Soldier kept aiming at me when on low or using my ult. Soldier was planning on killing me with his ult, he couldn't.
Man I just got a laptop and can play ow on PC and I'm having SUCH a hard time with mercy on PC coming from console I just can't seem to find a comfortable key config to make her movement fluid like it is on console for me. I have a mouse with two buttons on the side that make using abilities so much easier for other heroes but idk what to do with mercy. What are your key bindings for her???
Is it just me or there is a bug when you can't superjump with secondary crouch hotkey when you are using healing beam? It works only for ctrl I even tried to make the mouse button the main key for crouch, but the result is still the same
I have something like that and it starts for me when i turned off toggle beam. So what i do for a superjump is: stop using beam for a moment => press crouch => start using the beam again wether it is healing or damage boost. I hope this helps you, and hopefully ow will fix this bug.

As mercy main, hitscan are my wrost enemies Even if u can't aim right just try to lower her hp And they will hide somewhere and leave healing so u can have chance to kill their teammates Or you can also lower her hp and ask for some dash heros to finish her
I pick Moira and i drain the shit out of her, no need to aim, once she dashes you use dmg orb + drain and she'll die before jumping again. Mei is also good with primary shot. That's your 2 options if you can't aim properly.
Tbh I always found that torb was mercy’s biggest counter. Yeah you can mess with hitscan or dive players by making your movement unpredictable but torb turret will auto lock you no matter what. I always find myself getting picked when enemy team has a torb. I have to play more safe. I can’t super jump with this genji because turret will catch me.
You need to have a really good aim, if your in the lower rank ask one of your support to be Moira and just suck the life out of her since Moira attack range is pretty Far.

For example, you’re with your tank, lagging behind to not be the focus of attention, and you see your distant teammate going off on his own to try and commit to a flank. But the flank goes wrong and he’s too far to try and heal, and such?
I play mercy a lot and always manage to get 10-15k heals in long games. 20k heals if the enemies are really good. What I do all the time is focus on healing tank by following and stay in the air as much as I can. Staying in the air helps me reach my other teammates with GA if they are too spread out and need healing. But if youre in a situation where your tank is in the middle of a fight and needs constant healing, while ur DPS are too far away and need healing, just stay in the air and make sure to keep ur tank alive because either your other support will handle your dps, or the dps will just come to you looking for heals, if they come to you, you can easily heal them and then go back to healing tank. But if your tank is obviously safe and not in a battle, go heal your dps esp if they are in the middle of a 1v1 on the side
@@blessings1063 I would recommend this play style in mid plat and below, mercy better have more attention on your dps, as other supports except zen, Brigitte and Lucio are better to be the main support than mercy As usual, all depends on how the game goes
I'm in diamond 4 right now, and that's something that happened often when I was climbing. My advice is just to not go and heal them : it's too far away and most of the times you're going to die. Basically, that's their mistake and if they complain, just ignore them because there's no point healing them. Most of the times they are going to die from their mistake. However, sometimes you can still save them, so you can go for that little risk (no stun, no sleep, no sniper, no reaper,... Basically if you don't risk a one shot). Since the new superjump, it's easy to survive and go to an high ground, or fly back.
The distance depends on your guardian angel charge meter, so doing slingshot/superjump close range to your target you will not get much charge. This is also from an older patch where the superjump/backwards ga had faster speed. Hope that helps ♥

It’s because it’s Ana’s job to keep the tank alive, and Mercy’s job to pocket the DPS. With some comps Mercy will have to heal the tank more, but with a main healer like Ana, Baptiste, Kiriko, or Moira, Mercy gets far more value by prioritising her DPS players.
Hi!! I have some troubles with using heal/boost like when im healing someone and look at other teammate i press a button to fly up to him but it brings me back to the first one. Can this problem be solved in the settings??
im a mercy main that plays on ps4 and something thats helped me is to turn off the toggle on her crouch, because it helps her descend from her jumps go faster. if youre descending super slow on mercy it can give snipers or pushy tanks an opportunity to focus you. i always do the small jumps to stay in the air, basically you fly towards them but cancel it immediately because it give u a small boost anyway if youre not the type to typically go battle mercy, try turning your aim assist down and your sensitivity up a bit, when youre in a tricky spot that forces you to stay in the air, if you look down and spin fast while youre up there the hitscan will have a harder time headshotting you which gives u a better chance of surviving, same works with rezzing!
As a Mercy main I find it very annoying how I ask people to protect me so I can heal and revive people but they just won't and when I die cuz I have people targeting me cuz I'm a healer they get all mad cuz their dying to and it just sit there laughing my ass off
If you dmg boost someone, missiles/projectiles will only be boosted after thr person did an attack and you dmg boost them. Idk if that was well explained (english is not my first language). Before, if a missile was launched and you dmg boosted them, it would also dmg boost the missile even thought it wasn't launched after dmg boost. They "nerfed" it at some point and it wasn't making sense either to keep it. It's the same for nano, if that's your question?
I just started playing a week ago and i already know to play mercy like this but i keep getting stupid teams that separate and push way to far from the point, there’s some real idiots that play this like cod thinking they can solo squad wipe with their primary. so stupid

At that height though? The DPS needed to switch to hitscan for her, at least to force her closer to the ground so the Winston could have some effect

For me I am using M3 (mouse middle key) for crouch, easier for me to press instead of CTRL, hope it helps :)

I play mercy a lot and always manage to get 10-15k heals in long games. 20k heals if the enemies are really good. What I do all the time is focus on healing tank by following and stay in the air as much as I can. Staying in the air helps me reach my other teammates with GA if they are too spread out and need healing. But if youre in a situation where your tank is in the middle of a fight and needs constant healing, while ur DPS are too far away and need healing, just stay in the air and make sure to keep ur tank alive because either your other support will handle your dps, or the dps will just come to you looking for heals, if they come to you, you can easily heal them and then go back to healing tank. But if your tank is obviously safe and not in a battle, go heal your dps esp if they are in the middle of a 1v1 on the side
@@blessings1063 I would recommend this play style in mid plat and below, mercy better have more attention on your dps, as other supports except zen, Brigitte and Lucio are better to be the main support than mercy

I'm in diamond 4 right now, and that's something that happened often when I was climbing. My advice is just to not go and heal them : it's too far away and most of the times you're going to die. Basically, that's their mistake and if they complain, just ignore them because there's no point healing them. Most of the times they are going to die from their mistake.
However, sometimes you can still save them, so you can go for that little risk (no stun, no sleep, no sniper, no reaper,... Basically if you don't risk a one shot). Since the new superjump, it's easy to survive and go to an high ground, or fly back.

The distance depends on your guardian angel charge meter, so doing slingshot/superjump close range to your target you will not get much charge. This is also from an older patch where the superjump/backwards ga had faster speed. Hope that helps ♥

It’s because it’s Ana’s job to keep the tank alive, and Mercy’s job to pocket the DPS.
With some comps Mercy will have to heal the tank more, but with a main healer like Ana, Baptiste, Kiriko, or Moira, Mercy gets far more value by prioritising her DPS players.
Hi!! I have some troubles with using heal/boost like when im healing someone and look at other teammate i press a button to fly up to him but it brings me back to the first one. Can this problem be solved in the settings??

it is so hard for me to get used to her new movement! any advice?
im a mercy main that plays on ps4 and something thats helped me is to turn off the toggle on her crouch, because it helps her descend from her jumps go faster. if youre descending super slow on mercy it can give snipers or pushy tanks an opportunity to focus you. i always do the small jumps to stay in the air, basically you fly towards them but cancel it immediately because it give u a small boost anyway
if youre not the type to typically go battle mercy, try turning your aim assist down and your sensitivity up a bit, when youre in a tricky spot that forces you to stay in the air, if you look down and spin fast while youre up there the hitscan will have a harder time headshotting you which gives u a better chance of surviving, same works with rezzing!

Didn't Ana nano and mercy dmg boost didn't overlap? I heard that so that's why I went healing genji with blade, I need confirmation
The damage boost stacks and nano+damage boost on a blade will one shot 200 hp targets. So very good to boost it alongside a nano!
Does someone know in which order DMG is calculated? Does DMG boost apply before or after nano?
If you dmg boost someone, missiles/projectiles will only be boosted after thr person did an attack and you dmg boost them.
Idk if that was well explained (english is not my first language). Before, if a missile was launched and you dmg boosted them, it would also dmg boost the missile even thought it wasn't launched after dmg boost.
They "nerfed" it at some point and it wasn't making sense either to keep it.
