Except perhaps to illustrate opposite ends of the martial spectrum, Bruce Lee really has no place in the same video as Professor Cheng.

Point taken! I actually edited the film and created that opening utilizing the Lee interview. It was a thrill to find the interview and be able to incorporate... coming from a kid who grew up with and was obsessed with Bruce Lee. It's also probably true that Lee most likely had no knowledge or actual connection to Cheng. Sometimes, you gotta strike a balance between artistic integrity and trying to create wider appeal to larger audiences.

@@hirscheba Lee learned some T'ai Chi Ch'uan from his father. I too was fascinated with Bruce Lee as a kid until at the age of 13 I discovered one of Professor Cheng's students, Robert W. Smith, teaching at the local YMCA for FREE. I dropped the TKD lessons I had been taking for four years like a hot rock and never looked back. It was the spring of '77.

Chinese elders won't ever give their knowledge on many of their arts and Tai chi was given incomplete to.american public in those years
