I’m not sure. I was watching gameplay and his kit looked a little underwhelming. his ult and wingman both get destroyed really easily and his flash is very weak; only flashing for a second

For real! He recently got a small buff to his ult which made him not so trash anymore. But a Cyhpers biggest gripe is dealing with skys dog and fades prowlers as they just complete screw over his signature tripwires. Now there is going to be a agents whos whole kits is just stuff that can likely waist a tripwire? I really think Cypher needs a new buff where he can regain lost tripwires somehow, maybe something that lets him regain max 1 after a cooldown losing a tripwire idk. Or maybe even bring back his cages highlighting enemies that walk threw it instead of just sound.

Having a free spike planter/defuser is gonna be huge especially when harbor's cove comes into play, but with that subpar flash it's going to have to rely on how consistently gekko can use his abilities (aka how easy is it really to keep picking up your abilities)
His flash actually is a bit like a drone flash hybrid. Seems really strong if anything
@Ismael it probably depends on whether it's a reasonable amount of time to shoot it or not
it doesnt blind gekko himself, and probably not his teammates either! I think it will be pretty useful

Nah I don't believe him will be nerfed that much. His ultimate detain is less than Killjoy's so its not huge.
His blind doesn't seem to be too impactful compared to the others, but ofc still blocks vision to a certain extent.
Then his pit is ofc a 1 charge ability and like Kayo, you can just walk out of it.
Lastly his plant one seems balanced. Maybe it is 2-3 shot before death, but the plant time is the exact same.
Overall his kit seems to be really well put together, like all other agents. Its not like Chamber or Fade where they dominated entirely based on kit alone.
Fade can overwhelm with abilities and Chamber ofc was broken at the very beginning with his double slows, instant tps and insane deagle and awp.
Also it seems that the Interaction timer is quite long, roughly 3s I believe. So he must be at a very safe location to pick them up, otherwise hes dead if he tries to do it mid combat or in a risky area.
That’s a sigh for me cause I’m considering to buy gekko and if he’s nerfed working 2 weeks then it’s money wasted, so thanks for the info

he's gonna be op asf, gonna be nerf in the first week. He's for sure gonna be #1 agent for a week or two and then he will be nerfed to oblivion
@@phatassdwarf5489 the planting / defusing is so broken. On a 1v1 u can use the ability and force ur opponent to push while you hold an angle.

I think his kit is great but he isn't going to be OP out of the gate. It's going to take time for the community to learn how to properly use his kit just like with every agent.
Do u know that on lotus, u can make Wingman plant at the closest top site area while standing near the mound on C site???
Doing that, will make the Wingman go around the site from the far corner and then plant the spike on the entry corner...
This effectively clears the whole back site area as well the site itself... Then u only need to clear Waterfall while entering and care about spawn after that... That's an insane bug which can be made use of before Riot patches that...

the only new abilities are his flash and wingman, other two are recycled content from other agents
I can already see a cap to how many times you can pickup and a longer cool down for said abilities, bits of dmg decrease on his little green guy, a shorter distance on his little yellow guy. As well as a shorter flash on his little blue guy... He's so good he's most likely, 100% getting the Astra treatment.

I think gekko will be pretty powerful in lower levels primarily because of wingman. You don't need to rely as heavily on your team being smart, which is a pretty big problem in low elo.

It's kinda like astra where it copies the strengths of other agents and leaves omen mains in the dust. But with what we've just seen this agent might leave agents like cypher, skye, brim in the shadow.

if they are going to keep wingman they need to make it to where the defuse rate is slower and only to half way, freeing up a player pre plant and post plant in most situations is extremely strong.

Seems a bit broken especially if abilities can’t be broken or have lots of hp. Mostly crazy how picking abilities back up gives you it back after a recharge.
the ult can be picked up, that means you can use it twice in a round to me thats broken.
its not infinite, he just has 2 charges like every other agent, but the drawback is that you have to physically pick them up.

Hopefully They Will Give agents updates with this act most probably to harbor. To Harbor I will Increase Slow Duration by 1.5 by all abilities and Removed Team Slow by 1.2 second and change his ult duration increase by 5 stun with 0.25 increased stun duration

Gecko will be very compatible with harbor. The wingman with cove can guarantee a safe plant or defuse. His kit is very compatible with harbor. I can see a team comp. Harbor, viper, gecko, kj, jett/raze/kayo/Skye
