I think the main thing that makes reyna hated is it feels she can get away with anything. When you get killed by a reyna from stupid positioning and she’s just impossible to punish, it can sometimes feel like you’re being cheated.

the worst problem i see with reyna and even at the beginning of the video is that they use the dismiss when noone is near, it might be tempting to but i'd rather save it incase i need a full heal. another one is the panic dismiss.
if you cant kill another if they pic you after a kill dismiss, else heal if you lost health, thats how I see it

One more to keep in mind that when you use E normally, you are visible to enemies. In her ult when u use E, you are not visible
ah but with this, you are still really audible even while invisible. if the enemies have good directional audio then it makes it super easy for them to pinpoint where you are, so dont just reappear right behind them

One thing I know about reyna from watching DRX vs PRX, If you want to play as a team while playing as reyna you can use you're flash and the enemy gets nearsighted then you can skye flash while the enemy gets nearsighted. (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR COMMS WHEN YOU WANT TO DO THIS)
1. either they go back to safety.
2. Or they try destroy the flash while dodging skyes flash at the same time.
Also, my friend told me this about reyna, that you can dismiss to try and gain info for your team I don't know if thats a good thing or not but i'll read your opinion fish man about this.

i’m a reyna main, and i can agree with the dismiss and get some info for your team
I thought it was common sense to use her dismiss to gain info.
One weakness that are common is whether or not to use her dismiss.. sometime you need to save or heal, but that make you can't react quick enough to save urself from enemies
In “higher” ranks (inm 2 and more) you will play (normally) against people with mostly your same Aim and with good game knowledge. And as we all know, in a game like that, more "coherent" comps are usually going to be played and with agents that are useful to contribute to the game (not as a queen who only has one eye that is possibly one of the worst flashes in the game)
That is why reyna is picked rarely in pro games.
Also for some info! they reyna Ult timer resets every kill, so if you are about to run out of time if you popped Ult early try to get a pick and it will get full time reset again to go further.
i can give 2 tips
1 you dont have to look at death orb if you are gonna use it you can look another direction
2. you can press e again to undismiss

Reynas flash are such a love and hate relationship imo😂 on one hand I always feel like when I flash it either goes behind the enemy and no flash or it flashes everyone and wins me the game

Another video from my favourite valorant youtuber, :D. You helped me a lot with tips and tricks so now i'm in platinum.
One of the big issues with reyna is that most players dont understand the role she fills. They see duelist and scream entry. Reyna is not an entry duelist. she can make room and open up new angles like a jett or raze for example. Reyna is way better in isolating enemies and taking 1on1 fights. if team mates would understand her role better and play around it, the impact would be way higher imo
there are still way better agents that's more useful for the team and for a greater team comp
@@jmannby1349 yes agreed. We are in Harbor Viper META and even if it's a map where is not Harbor Viper, playing a 2nd Initiator is better
exactly. Her blind is pretty weak if the enemy is positioned correctly and there's only so many corners you can check while entering. And most of the times the teammates would scream entry but when you do, they are nowhere near you so basically what happens is you enter a site after blinding, the blind runs out. Your teammates did not enter and now you have 3 enemies aimed at you
Reyna is good if your raw skill is good, that's it

Reyna can use blinds either low or high so it throws off crosshair placement. Finding good flash zones is gyud too

There's is one more important tip a lot know it but for new Reyna players when you use your E in your ult you are invisible so try and get some info like a mini sova drone could be really useful

The thing is, you need gamesense and aim on EVERY agent. If you can click heads with Reyna, you can do it with Brimstone.
Just because you can't do anything else, doesn't mean others don't benefit from that skill set.
"Taking smart gunfights" is not agent specific.
Same with Chamber. Was the best agent when the tp was on 20sec cooldown and now, with way less chances to get free escapes, he's like bottom 3. Because he doesn't offer anything else besides an occasional free OP. Which is not that crazy, because if you're winning, money isn't something you worry too much. You're hitting heads with a Vandal, nothing will change with an OP. You're still winning.
I think the main thing is that there are fights you only take with Reyna. Sure, you can click heads but are you sure you wanna risk being outaimed in a duel as brimstone and possibly leave your team with no smokes for the rest of the round? No.
Her kit is designed for fights, you don't have much to lose while taking fights as reyna since her kit is super selfish. If you die, your team is down 1 player and that's about it. But say, the reyna kills the enemy controller or any other agent like entry agents or initiators, your team then has an instant advantage in terms of utility and numbers.

Just leaving a nice Yoru tip here:
When trying to fake clone in a close fight (i.e. retakes or fake rotates);
Drop your rifle and pistol then use the clone, it will not have any guns equipped, but rather just a knife.
Use that to deceive enemies into actually shooting the clone or really buying the fakes.

ive had a lot of games on reyna, and i would say im more of a game sense player than aim, and 2 very useful tricks i found on reyna are using the eye to trick your location.
1. because your flash can go through walls, you could fake your position by throwing it in a way that seems to help you push a certain angle, while in fact you are in a completely different place. this could work on almost any map, and could give you a better opportunity to clutch when you are alone. few places I do it all the time are A main/short on ascent, where no one stands that deep in main to know you didn't throw it from there, or if you manage to flank, you can assure them you arent flanking by throwing it to short, making them completely unsuspecting of where you are actually coming from. other places are haven A sewers/A link, Bind B elbow/site, Bind B hexagon/hookah, Bind A lamps/defualt push, Split A screens/rafters and many other places similar to these.
2. if you are in front of a 2 way push, like in haven sites(works best on A/C), where there's a box in the middle, you can throw the flash to one side and instantly push the other, and then usually the enemy would shoot it or hide from it, and get closer to the flash side, and from stress would probably be transitioning to the flash side immediately and not even expecting you to come from the other side.
i dont think ive ever seen reynas do these tricks while they are super useful, especially in ranked where most of the time you cant expect your teammates to do things for you.
if you would like i can even send clips of this working in games, these work super well even in immo games.
1. There is a way to trace the origin of Reyna's eye, no matter what angle you throw it. In addition, you still run the risk of the enemy shortening the distance and not being blinded.
2. It's a good idea, but it's very difficult for you to do this in CT where there will always be more than one to break an eye during the entrance. In TR it's even more specific, probably a clutch situation, but it's always curious how every reyna is always the last doll to die, either because she was baiting the whole team or because she was playing the legendary reyna lurker.
@@zMasterFlashSz im not sure if 1 is an answer to my 1, but if it is, then it doesn't matter if I risk them shortening the distance, or not being blinded, its just a fake eye, they see the eye, for example, in Ascent A main, while they are on site, they think there's a flank, but you threw it from short, making it good even when not clutching, and super good on clutches. and I'm not sure about tracking the origin in that case, although I have no idea what's your way to track it other than seeing the direction its coming from, which is impossible if I'm throwing it to a place they cant see like Ascent A main next to the lineup double box.
and if you were talking about my 2nd tech, then them closing the distance is exactly what I want them to do, thinking I'm coming from right side, while pushing left side, they wouldn't expect me swinging there while they are swinging, they expect to swing and see me in front of them.
and for 2, again, if you answered my 2nd tech, then, I agree, its harder to pull off in a retake (unless you are going for someone who's alone), or even while holding site, but going into site, usually gives you a chance to do that, even if there is more than 1 guy holding, since both will panick most times, maybe an organized team wouldn't, but I don't think there are many of those in ranked.(don't forget your team uses util at the same time as this happens, making it harder to maintain correct formation, especially on randoms)
and if you were talking about my 1st tech, I guess I already explained it in the first part.
and staying last as reyna is an old trick that comes with being a reyna main😂 (but I'm mostly using the clutch one for CT, so it can happen a lot that you need to clutch retake)

When i was new to valo i only used to play reyna and omen the only thing i used to do was run and gun with spectre and dismiss and her ult was like overpowered with spectre in silver lobby and now i am ascendant 1 and i dont enjoy reyna anymore and any agent expect reyna feels fun to play

idk about other ranks but at least in silver, the few times i lock in reyna are the chillest most braindead rounds for me

I think Reyna is a solo queue agent reallly good if you have good aim and to climb ranks without duos
ok yea trhis was me after unlocking reyna, cuz like i was getting a lot of kills and i ranked up 2 times and got to silver easily, but then right afterwards, i started dying more and thats cuz i was dealing with trash bois and now thzt i was facing ppl who were kinda more than the lvl i was at(around gold and silver) i learned that reynas performance dependant and that you cant just peek a corner and expect to kill someone. you have to use the only kind of util u gain pre kill to try and gain a kill to use her as a full agent. also her e is more useful than her q as it will just get u killed
I think for a duelist offense and defense/evasion are very important, you don't want to be a glass cannon. Reyna is leaning more towards defense which I personally think makes her stronger. She has invulnerability for 3 seconds which future proofs her against infinite damage attacks and potential new ults (even letting her survive the bomb explosion). Her heal is crazy good, hence why it has conditions such as a 30 second lifespan and having to be in line of sight AND the 'souls' only lasting for a certain amount of time after a kill/assist. She was greatly strengthened by being able to use her abilities with assists as it encourages more team plays. Her ult is insane as it heightens her offensive and defensive capabilities drastically, faster fire rate can hinder you but usually makes you win gunfights faster than the enemy, faster reload has always been amazing in any shooter, more visible outline on the enemies definitely helps, healing through walls and the ability to be invulnerable and completely invisible is insane. Her flash is the weakest part of her kit for sure but it still creates many openings for plays and forces people to back off or shift their aim to shoot the flash. Comparatively with a character like Raze who is primarily offense, I think she is insanely effective.
