  • This all started when someone asked if I could create a 3D Printed 757 throttle after showing my 737 Throttle Build. I wasn't to keen at first, but I needed a break from the 737 throttles. In the background, this is what I came up with.
    A massive Thank You to Sebi Woelke for the Intro and Logo!

    A couple of people have asked if I have a Patreon account, I finally got around to creating one. If you fancy showing support for the videos and build:

      Use flatten to face in your slicer software, that a much easier and quicker way to orientate hem. They come in from fusion in the orientation they are placed in the design.

    I am literally looking forward to that next episode, because searching white sheep in the herd of white sheep has to be a great adventure. Are grey wires the only ones locally available? :-)
    I like both your throttle quadrant designs but I fly World War 2 sims, where are dual engine planes, but they require propeller and mixture settings as well, so more levers are required. And I think about use of the bearings and maybe hall sensors. Thus I wonder how difficult it is going to be to modify your design to fit such a plane

    • @helimech8152
      @helimech8152  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Mungo, All wire is available here, its just the quality is so poor is fails very quickly. The wiring you see in my vids now is recycled aircraft wire which is awesome stuff to work with. I would highly recommend starting a fresh design than modifying mine. Its just easier to start from scratch and purpose build it. This is the major let down of the 737 v3 throttle. It was modified from the Saitek unit. It would have been much easier, simpler to start over! Kind regards Karl

      @@helimech8152 Thanks for the answer - quite interesting, those wires.
      I have to plan that design - it is quite difficult to think out controller that fits several planes. Which - despite being similar in some way - differ in way their flight controls works.

    Very cool. I have to build this. Do you have a plan for a motorized trim wheel for this version. That’s the one thing I would like to see on a build.
    Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. You are one of the few that really explains what and how to build items like this so that others can build them.

      I was lucky a few years ago that we modified our fleet of helicopters. This meant I had hundreds of meters of discarded, reusable aircraft wire. This wire is by far superior to anything have found from china on eBay. The part number is: 55A0811-22-9
      It's 22 AWG, but 24 AWG will also work the Arduino 5V items and the part number is: 55A0811-24-9
      Mouser and TE stock this for around $0.25 to $0.53 a meter
