George was a musical genius, he wrote, sang and produced his own music. Selling around 150 million records throughout his career isn't too shabby 😉 Please listen to his MTV unplugged session from 1996, you will not be disappointed. My favourite George duet is This is not real love, George dueted with Mutya Buena and the song is soooo underrated. Welcome to the wonderful world of George Michael 💜
I agree! If you want a bigger scope and want to see the full capability of his voice, you DO want "FREEDOM". th-cam.com/video/diYAc7gB-0A/w-d-xo.html Can't Go Wrong!
Right? Back in the day I was cranking Crue, Priest, Ozzy...and a girl played this for me and I couldn't deny the musical talent and vocal/lyrical intensity. "Last Christmas" is amazing too.
@@captaincapitalism264last Christmas is him?? No wonder its one of the few christmas songs I enjoy during the season, and the only one I will listen to all year round!
George Michael sang one of Queen's songs along with the rest of the band during Freddie Mercury's tribute concert as well. If anyone could do justice to Freddie's singing, its him.
First time I've heard anyone say they're not sold on George Michael's vocals lol. He had plenty of power in his voice he just wasn't the type of artist to showboat and belt out on every song. He was a proper singer.
I’m probably going to have this song stuck in my head for the rest of the day but I don’t care. Such a great song. For more George Michael, I recommend Father Figure, Faith, and Freedom. Also u must hear the amazing cover of this by Seether. Awesome reaction Biss and thanks to your mom for this awesome recommendation ❤🎷
Your mom has impeccable taste. George was an amazing talent. You can't go wring with anything he's done. He's a singer's singer & can reach through you & touch your soul with his beautiful voice everytime.
I liked the sax. George had a great voice, so good in fact, he was considered as a replacement for Freddie Mercury after his death. He did the song "Somebody To Love" at the Freddie Mercury tribute concert. (and killed it)
It's one of the best songs ever written. The clip fits perfectly. The beauty of George Michael in this clip is astonishing, even as a man looking at him.
His best stuff was when he went solo: Freedom, Too Funky, Fast Love, and Father Figure. For me, his best song with Wham! was one of the last singles the band released: The Edge of Heaven
Never question mom's pick until she picks something questionable. However, she guided you to George, so she deserves at least one free pass for that alone. Put on a helmet, as I am about to beat you over the head with more George Michael suggestions: I suppose you should start with Wham! (George's duo before he went solo) Wake me up Before you Go-Go, I'm your Man, Last Christmas (which you've likely heard but did not realize it was George), Freedom, Club Tropicana and for sure, Everything She Wants. You'll dance, you'll sing along and you'll laugh. When you're ready to get more serious, listen to A Different Corner then move into the Faith years, starting with Faith. Then you've got Father Figure, One More Try, I Want your Sex and, my favorite, Kissing a Fool. After this, George turns a corner, casts aside his rock star image and gets real with himself and his fans. At this stage, America turned their back on him for the most part, but screw 'em. His artistry continued to rise and his music matured along with his voice and lyrics. More songs to delight yourself with: Freedom 90, Cowboys and Angels, Heal the Pain, Waiting for the Day, Jesus to a Child, Fast Love, Spinning the Wheel, Move On, Star People, You Have been Loved. That takes you through his first three albums. Maybe in between try on some of his duets with some amazing artists: Knew You Were Waiting For Me (with Aretha Franklin), Don't Let the Sun go Down on Me (with Sir Elton John), If I Told You That (with Whitney Houston), As (with Mary J. Blige and Heal the Pain (with Paul McCartney). Okay, you can take your helmet off, I'm done (for now). Great reactions, you're helping to get me through some long, dark nights.
After George Michael came out of the closet, the lyrics of the song changed their meaning for me, maybe for your mother too. I'm not homophobic! Depois que George Michael saiu do armário, a letra da musica mudou de significado pra mim, talvez para sua mãe também. Eu não sou homofóbico!
No one could rock solid white to pastels like this cat. I was never embarrassed that as a guy, my favorite color has always been pink. But this dude taught me the proper way to wear it 🎉
George Michael is a legend.. This was only the beginning. .. He has some amazing songs full of passion & power .. Like Freddie Mercury & Elton John he was one of Britain’s brightest stars … Freedom is a good song to start your journey.. 😀
Hey girl, this being your first GM song I completely understand you wanting to hear more power and trust me, this man has it. He's done so many duets (even with Aretha Franklin) because his voice is so amazing. Definitely check out another. You won't be disappointed.
I think this was released in 1984... great year for music. There are two songs from GM's solo years that are really good. If you liked this song, then you'll probably also like Father Figure (1987) and Jesus To A Child (1996). Beautiful compositions, especially the latter track (do look for the full length version of Jesus To A Child, which is just under 7 minutes - not the cheap single edit that is a little over 4 minutes).
Deadpool brought this back to the mainstream in the movie. He talks about blasting it outside Vanessa's window. This is a reference to the 80s movie "Say Anything" when John Cusack's character, Lloyd Dobler, blasts his boombox for his love interest to hear. Then He plays it at the end on his phone, and then it plays over the final credits.

Your Mom is so sweet hahah. Great choice . The live version of this song is even better. George is one of my favorite artist My absolute favorites of him are "Father Figure" "Monkey". His cover version of "Papa Was a Rolling Stone".
An absolutely iconic voice that had every ounce of heart behind it, often broken. You should definitely check out "Listen Without Prejudice"- you'll really love it.
I’am 52 years old so this music is very famous for me ,it’s just a bangers tune ,just amazing, compare to music from nowadays i preferred old tunes and so far ! Wham and George are printed in my mind! Even club Tropicana is a very good funky tune and unrated! Thanks for sharing
its not the about the power (ie.. what now a days famous shows like X-factor are promoting), its all about his own style. He is not about notes and pitch but he sings with with the feel and that's what makes listener involve himself in to the story....You wont find many singers with such characteristics.
Coming from an old fart 80s metalhead...you simply cannot deny the guy's talent, and if you just *Listen* to the lyrics (ignore the visuals)...it's very moving, just like "Last Christmas".
UN TEMA ESCRITO POR .... GEORGE MICHAEL A LOS 15 AÑOS ....... Y QUE POR MUCHO TIEMPO LO GUARDO POR MIEDO A QUE SE RIERAN DE SU LETRA ..... HOY UN CLASICO DE TODOS LOS TIEMPOS ......
Your mom has good taste. The first time a lot of us heard George Michael was Wham's "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go". He did quite well as a solo artist afterwards. Personally, "Father Figure" is my favourite, but it creeped some people out over the years.
George Michael - this brilliant genius. He was able to make you cry with his voice. After 54 years of life, I don't know anyone who has impressed me as deeply and accompanied me through my life as George Michael. I still can't understand that he is dead: I still can't believe that he won't write any more music. Even though George never just wrote songs. George wrote music history. With every song, with every line, with every vocal. When I hear him today, I cry quietly. With joy at being able to experience it, with pain at not being able to experience it anymore and with happiness that he is more modern than ever.
This is technically Wham. You need to check out his solo stuff. Freedom 90 is a good choice to check out, I noticed some people have already recommended. I definitely think One More Try is very powerful, Kissing A Fool is another great one. I love this guys voice. I hope you do check out more because he has much better songs and vocal performances

The legend George Michael. 😭😭❤️❤️ this guy has some vocal capability.

George's live duet with Elton John of "Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me" is a must react for your channel.
The song isn't about romance. It is about betrayal and regret for it. He mess up.
If you want to hear his range, listen to "One More Try." It's amazing. Michael was a superb male vocalist.
More voice? George’s voice is one of best ever in rock. He was just voted into the hall of fame. He’s in because of his dynamic voice.

This song is so legendary... The saxophone part is very famous and the song sounds so smooth especially with the synthesizer added.
Responsible for so many peoples' existence
If you want to hear George's power then I'd recommend his performance of "Somebody to Love" with Queen at the Freddie Mercury tribute concert
YES!!!!!

Highly recommended:
George Michael & Elton John
Don't let the sun go down on me
A live video, absolutely amazing
Listen to the song George Michael did with Aretha Franklin - I knew you were waiting. You will definitely hear the power in his vocals
Father Figure and Freedom, very good songs too
you should listen to the hard rock version of Careless Whisper by Seether
