I'm tempted to get it just to test it out, especially I have the rest of the truck wired up already for brushless. I couldn't find just the 1:5 gear box unfortunately, but it's still not too expensive to try.

The gearbox doesn't stip out because ive had that happen to the ones ive gotten in the past

Is your ESC programmable? I'm running the same motor with an MXO Racing ESC, and advancing the timing nearly doubled the speed.
Yes it's programmable but I didn't try to play with the timing setting. Thanks for the tip and I will give it a try!
