I just found your video! Did you know holiday travel park has a free parking lot for their guests? Next to the board walk. It’s a great deal. I have reservations to stay at the campground next week. I have a small camper like your Scamp but it’s a Parkliner.😢
Nice! I love all of the fiberglass campers! The free parking is a great deal and a good way to hang out at the beach! My only el beef with it is that it's kind of all down on the end. It'd be nicer if it was more towards the middle, but that's kind of asking a lot probably. I am jealous of you, I wish I were there next week. Have fun! ✌
Good advice to “roll” with the situation you find - 3 attempts to find a spot for the Scamp - and not get upset! Different from our type of camping but fun to “virtually” tag along with your adventure!
@@scampslikeusva1958 We are new Scamp 13 campers and have mainly visited provincial campsites relatively near our home in Calgary - but it seems the border may open soon so we can enjoy traveling further!
@@Ed_Cairns We do more traditional camping as well, for this particular trip our Scamp was more or less a motel room. We had an itch to go to the beach and wanted to try things out, that's why we went this route. Not to mention the cost was several hundred dollars cheaper in the middle of the season. I am anxious for the borders to re-open as well as there are many areas in Canada I need to visit. My experiences so far are limited to southern Ontario. We will eventually check out more, especially some areas in your neck of the woods!

However, with our 3 corgi travelling companions we are limited by what we can do on our daily excursions - if we went to a restaurant the corgis would either dance on our table or steal everyone else’s food! So our canine company limit us to campsites. Maybe they’ll stay at home one trip so we can “motel it” in the Scamp and actually visit places! Loved the lights hung on your Scamp’s awning - we may do the same!
Holiday TRAV-L Park has a 155 space parking lot for the beach at the corner of Pacific Avenue and Norfolk Ave which is only a block from the boardwalk so you don't have to pay for parking.
You know, that's right. I knew that, I should have mentioned it - thanks for pointing it out! We did check it out and I think it's a great option if you are mostly looking to hang at the beach. We wanted to see some things in other areas of the boardwalk, more towards the center, so we decided to look for closer parking to where we needed to be. But thanks for reminding me!
