The drinks at Ocean 27 are bomb. If you go there for drinks, ask for Sean to make you something, it will blow your mind. Make sure you tip well, those guys deserve it
I don’t know why this video popped up but l loved it. Thanks for doing a great job to my childhood home. I grew up in the area before there was any major tourism, left for college and employment but still visit several times a year. I will retire in a few years back to the beach around the Rudee Inlet area. The world has changed and Virginia Beach has always survived on the fishing and tourism industry. With 20 million visitors a year unfortunately there will be an increase in crime. However it’s still safer than most places in the USA and still a great place to live.
We are heading to Va beach this Thursday and this video was so helpful and informative. Thank you for sharing all this information for us to make some decisions on where to go and what to do while there. Amazing footage and information and so grateful for all it. God bless.
We love this video! ❤️ We live about 2 hours away from VA Beach and we try to visit as much as we can! We did the Rudee Whale Tour this past winter…it was great! That dolphin tour on the rocket looks equally awesome! We may have to try that later this summer! 😀🐬
Wow! You did a thorough job of covering Virginia Beach and the surrounding area. It is obvious that you did your research before making the video. Thanks for sharing.
The Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel is impressive. Very possibly, my next vacation, I would like to tour the east coast. I loved your video so much, I'm watching it for the 2nd time. Good luck Randy.

Your videos have been helping me to decide where I want to go for my "snowbird retirement" in 18 months. Been thinking of buying a summer seasonal around Virginia Beach area in a RV Resort Park. So much to do around there. Would never get bored.
VB Local. Great job on this video. I like that it didn't focus on just the party aspect of the resort area but great things to do and see, with some history nuggets infused.
My home... thanks for showing it, such a beautiful place! Norfolk is a great place too, all comprising a great area to live complimenting each other. I'd suggest omit the pricing in your videos, it will save time, plus if the price changes in the future, the info would still relevant, bringing the timelessness.
Thankyou, yes we do that because many people have requested that. It doesn't take more time on the video, because we are going to show that footage regardless and just allows us to share more info
I’m stationed here and I can’t wait to leave not a terrible place just to much traffic for me and some terrible drivers. Seems like crime is going up all over around here as well. But there is a lot of stuff to do and some really good places to explore and eat.
You are right. The traffic is horrible due to Virginia Beach voting down a light rail public train transportation to accommodate the new population. The blacks on the beach don't live the same and the city was forced to accept collective bargaining. Its city employees can finally make a decent living. Welcome to the real, real world,.
Am from Va Bch. Lived here for 50 years. Left because of govt dramas. Am currently in NY and hate it here. But am homesick for Va Bch. The beauty;.things to do;.I'm coming back.
You should stay at that KOA for sure. We enjoy it there very much and we really enjoy being able to just ride our bikes from there to the boardwalk and back. We don't even bring a car, just our camper and our bikes. Though, the last time we were there, back in May, it got oddly cold and it rained all weekend! We did not enjoy that one bit. We ended up buying a bus pass and taking it to the end of the line just to see where we would end up. We ended up at a Dunkin' Donuts, had some coffee to help warm us up, then got back on the bus where we got off near the boardwalk and enjoyed some sushi. On my channel I posted some video of me biking on the bike path at Virginia Beach last year. I think it was in September or October. Feel free to check it out, though my channel is basically just a handful of cell phone videos that most people aren't too excited about. ;) Someday I am actually going to upload a more produced video, I just have to take some time to figure out how to use editing software! And that ropes course - I did it last year, and I am glad I did it but I never have to do it again...I really am not a fan of heights!

Hi Randy, thanks a lot for another interesting and stunning video. We are actually on holiday in South Germany but my wife and I are thinking of another holiday in the US in a few years. Maybe to New Hampshire (this was the first of your videos I watched). Greetings and blessings from Bavaria.
Hi Randy, somehow I don't understand this comment. Can you tell me what you are trying to say? Nethertheless we came back a few weeks ago from our visit to Bavaria. Saw a lot of mountains and castle Neuschwanstein. Nice area in South Germany 😊 Wish you blessings from home P.S. Watched your video from Pittsburgh yesterday. Great job 👍
Ok now this is just getting weird, but in the most amazing way possible. Last year I was considering moving to the Sarasota, or Fort Myers area. I found this channel, and you had just done one of those or close to it. Then I watched all the vids and loved em. So then I decided just to move back to the Gulf Shores area more recently. Within a few weeks of that decision, this channel does one of these vids on that area. Now, you do one one Va Beach… the very place I currently live. This is crazy 😜
So many places to see and explore. Thank you for all the great media you film and share. I like many others on here, I think dream and imagine going to all these places and even as one said moving to some of those places you have filmed. It’s always top notch..
I have lived in Virginia Beach since 1990 and it's full of overpriced real estate, taxes are high and the roads are super busy congested and just suck! The oceanfront area is old and boring but the steel boardwalk and King Neptune statue is pretty cool! It's a nice place to visit but a crowded and boring place to live! I am personally retiring in Florida so I don't have to put up with the cold winters in Hampton Roads even though it doesn't snow that much it does dip down in the 30's quite often in the winter and the hurricane threat and flooding is very real even though we have been really lucky with the hurricanes. OBX usually takes the major hits! Come see for yourself!
@@jayamburn1959 Working and chillin! Traveling to Chicago later next month to see the Scorpions in concert and some deep dish pizza and steak lol! How bout you? Be sure to subscribe to my page! Thanks!
My biggest gripe with virginia beach is that the ocean front is 80% hotels 10% restursnts and 10% recreational. There should be wayyy more room for recreation and independent shops to add more culture to the ocean front. Kinda sucks how much of a presence all these hotels have and most of them aren't even nice to look at.
Totally agree, and this isn't exclusive to VB. I despise the commercialization of beaches to the point where it feels like a concrete jungle next to a strip of beach all designed to bleed your wallet dry.
I tried looking but did not find out if you have any videos for military retirement, specifically for disabled veterans? My apologies if I missed a military retirement video. Thank you for this content!

Virginia is best of all worlds. We live in Lynchburg, a Piedmont area of the Blue Ridge Mountains with rivers and lakes. VA Beach is a 3h45m drive, making it an easy weekend retreat. Though a much busier beach compared to i.e. OBX, it makes for a great vacation whereas everything is within walking distance or a short drive. It’s also more a military/living population, so the area is still lively almost year round. September-October is our favorite time to visit. Waters are the warmest, air temps can still be 80’s, less tourists and the locals come out from hiding.
You can go to Va Beach if you want to .. but be prepared to pay some parking tickets and be prepared to get pulled over by the police for something . It doesn't matter what it is .. they will pull you over . I could go to any other city in hampton roads and not get pulled over for a tail light being out , but va beach police will damn sure pull you over .one time I was visiting a friend and my friend gave me a parking pass to hang by my rear view mirror .. spent the night .. woke up ... truck GONE !! Got towed in the middle of the night .. thought it was stolen at first .. until I called several impound yards and finally found my truck .. be careful , the tow truck companies are able to get away with anything there .. Just be prepared for something to go wrong .. happens every time I set foot in va beach ! Once I got to Nags head , the fun began .. I had a blast in Nags head . Half the crime , half the police. Half the tow trucks .
I live in Virginia Beach. This place has constant traffic, crashes and tolls. If you want to go do fun things expect HUGE crowds. There is also crime so don't go out late.
Yep. Its advertised as one of the safest cities in America. But thats because they don't let the local media air it. Not too long ago I was on broadcastify police scanner. Close to me 4children taken to hospital from gun shot wounds. 11 shots 4 children hit. Didn't see that on the news. The beach at night can be deadly. tv's can be thrown off a balcony at any time at the least.
@@thomascacioppo3057 right!? I don't go to the ocean front at night or go to the fair at mount trashmore cause that place got shot up too. Let's not forget about the dude who was in municipal building and shot everyone up. Virginia Beach is no joke and shouldn't be romanticized.
@@Kate_-hp7cl We could go on and on. And thats just me and you. Don't forget how many times the beaches are closed due to high bacteria count. Beach aint no fun if ya can't swim in it.
I have lived in Virginia Beach VA since my dad got stationed at NOB Norfolk from Yokosuka Naval Base in Japan back in 1991and honestly it's full of horrible traffic. The HRBT which connects Norfolk to Hampton up on the peninsula is a parking lot during rush hour! Locals rarely go to the Oceanfront since it's old looking and parking sucks! No major sports arena in this area but we do have a overpriced Ampitheater for summer concerts! Houses are quite expensive unless you want to live in the hood in Norfolk or Portsmouth! Lots of transplants from up north with rude impatient attitudes and the dating scene sucks. It was so back back in the mid 2000's that Russian dating scammers were doing good business scamming local Virginia Beach men lol! Not me though! Lastly the threat of hurricanes and floods is very real even though OBX in North Carolina usually takes the hit! Nice vid though and the good things about Hampton Roads and VB is that the crime rate is low and the job market is quite good if you love working retail or in a restaurant lol!
You have to move away to realize what you have right under your nose. Its amazing how many locals have no idea whats available. I grew up there. If you are not a beach person, and dont like boating, fishing, and water sports, then theres nothing for you. I moved away in 91 to the big town Atlanta. You know nothing about traffic my friend. Id go back to VB in a second. Every resort town is expensive close to the water, but VB is cheap by comparison. I was there in the 80s, THAT was an old looking beach. Totally revitalized since then. Its gorgeous now.
I live in Norfolk, and don't live in a hood. But you can live in the hood right in Va Beach. Ask anyone that lives in Friendship Village, Twin Canel, Atlantis Apartments and more. Every city has its hood. Don't get it twisted
@@AJTramberg Va.Bch. Is not affordable. I’m a beach person but Blacks in the beach are not wanted. I’ve lived here for 30 years. The school system is good.

Thanks for the video, will be going there in september
You are welcome Gloria...Thats a great time of year, starts to get alittle cooler
Shalom Randy!🌴💗
Peace back at you Maria
There my ex live .. love this ☺️😉😅
I live in Virginia Beach.
@@cherylmosley797 So true! There are many nice neighborhoods in Norfolk like Ghent, etc and yes Va Beach Twin Canals and Friendship Village is no joke! It's thugged out indeed!
Home sweet home.
Top things to do in Virginia beach?
Leave... especially during high tourism time. Hella robberies and thefts and shootings.
What are goodly tall trees?🤣🤣🤣
Sincerely,
A Virginian
Probably Good, that is how they talked 400 years ago in England

The boardwalk used to be wood....long time ago.
You know, I kind of thought its was, remember going there when I was in the Marines.

Too many shootings out Virginia Beach oceanfront ! I’m a local! That’s a done deal! Be safe anywhere u going but it’s been getting out of hand.
Me too I used to live in South Norfok which was super ghetto and now I live off of General Booth Blvd near Oceana! VB is much better than Chesapeake 4 sho! Locals never go to the Oceanfront lol!
Virginia Beach really is not that bad at all.
@@familychannel7050 True there are worse boring places in Virginia you can live in like Petersburg or Emporia or South Hill lol! Va Beach is paradise compared to those 3 towns!
Hi koren your cute
I lived here my whole life and go to the beach often and it's not dangerous at all. I hate to think what else you're afraid of lol
They don’t do double wides
What does that mean?
@@joez3706
Maybe it means they don't allow them there.
Just don’t get shot while visiting Virginia Beach…
jeremiah 29:11 bible
Lived in vb 21 years , it’s not really like how it seems on the video. Virginia Beach boring
