    Nivea is best ONLY as a night cream and removed in the morning. Personally wearing the nivea all night gives my skin so much moisture.i just wash my face in the morning and really don't need to use any moisturiser during the day also i just like to have a clean product free face during the day it's not always best in my opinion to have shit on your skin every hour of the day let your skin be free and natural .

      @Miss Anthrope *Ashleigh Salinas* I have acne prone skin and still have hormonal acne! Still works. To prevent breaking out from it I put nivea on my dry areas first then the oily ones.

    It all depends WHAT ‘Nivea’ cream you use. There’s such a variety of products for different types of skin nowadays. The original cream in the blue tub is VERY thick, very rich, heavy and rather greasy, and I broke out with a few spots too, but thankfully I’ve found that I’m totally alright with the ‘Nivea’ sun cream & moisturiser & ‘Nivea Soft’. I use the sun cream throughout the day and then at night I use the ‘Soft’. I think people forget that moisturiser is FOR dry skin, dry patches. ONLY use it on the patches of skin that need it. By doing so you’ll then prevent breakout! 👍

      Yes. The Nivea Men, for instance, is as hydrating as the original Nivea blu but less heavy and oily. Nivea Men is used also by women under make up. It's fragranced yet. It'd be great to see a review of more Nivea products ;)

    I have oily/acne prone skin. I applied this cream to my face mixed with tea tree oil to help my acne. All day my skin felt soothed, clean, and moisturized, but not heavy. I’ll say try less than a dime size and massage it in. Xoxo

    I started using it about a week ago, and thought I was the only using it on face. So started searching if others are also using it. I have an oily face and have a few breakouts, but surprisingly it works perfectly on my skin. I just don't like the fragrance.

    It is so weird how different skins react to the product. I started using the basic Nivea cream two years ago as a night creams and it has helped with my acne that ive had my entire life 😄 My face loves it! The cream's effectiveness is extremely noticable if I try to use any other cream for a few days or weeks and then switch back to Nivea. Then the face glows and starts to heal itself again. So im not arguing agaista my skin; if it wants nivea it will get nivea.

  • @gi2121
    @gi2121 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I don't know, I (acneic skin) might still want to try it. I found out that the more I nourish my skin, the easier my acne is to handle. I mean, I have zits every day, but when I moisturize heavily at night (night cream + oil) the skin is more supple, softer and the little pimples seem to "mature" and resorb much faster 🤷‍♀️. Will try only at night, though.

    Nivea have such a lot of lovely moisturisers. This one is an ancient older cream. It's their first one produced nearly 100 years ago. Don't be put off by this review. I always use Nivea but I'd never use the basic original one! And I have dry skin. I love Nivea but this review is for their very first cream. Their subsequent later products were utterly different and so much better. I've used many moisturisers from many companies. Estée Lauder, Chanel, Caudalie, Murad, and many more. I always go back to Nivea.

    I absolutely love this for my hands in the winter, but on the face? Even if your skin isn't prone to breakouts at all, this cream is packed with fragrance. It's a sensitivity issue waiting to happen. It's cheap, sure, but so other a thousand other skincare products at the same price tag. Why use this and accept all the risks when you can just use the Moisturising Factors by The Ordinary or the lotion by CeraVe?

    • @MadAboutSkin
      @MadAboutSkin  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Oh I know, one look at the ingredients would have told me that and your so right this belongs on the hands and body and nowhere near the face.. I am straight back to the Oridnary Factors moisturiser should never have switched xx

    Late to the party, but besides the original and the Soft they make another one, Nivea Care. It's below 5 bucks for a tub, has decent ingredients and wears really nicely under make-up even, so for everyone who thinks Nivea is too heavy (I have dry skin and think it is too heavy for day wear) you might want to try the Care! Also, my grandma used the original Nivea all her life and at age 90 barely has any wrinkles. We're not sure if it's genetics or the Nivea :D

      @@stephaniebouwheer there’s actually quite a difference. Here are the ingredients for USA one sold at Target (sorry for all caps, I copied and pasted):
      WATER, MINERAL OIL, PETROLATUM, GLYCERIN, MICROCRYSTALLINE WAX, LANOLIN ALCOHOL, PARAFFIN, PANTHENOL, MAGNESIUM SULFATE, DECYL OLEATE, OCTYLDODECANOL, ALUMINUM STEARATES, FRAGRANCE, CITRIC ACID, MAGNESIUM STEARATE, METHYLCHLOROISOTHIAZOLINONE, METHYLISOTHIAZOLINONE.
      Here’s the list for one sold on Stylevana:
      Water, mineral oil, vaseline, glycerin, hydrogenated polyisobutene, cyclomethicone, microcrystalline wax, lanolin alcohol, paraffin, squalane, jojoba oil, decyl oleate, octyldecinol, AL distearate, Mg stearate, Mg sulfate, citrate Acid, sodium benzoate, fragrance
      I’ve seen comments say the German one helped clear up acne and that the USA one is very greasy. I would like to try them both and compare.
