Honestly I'm most impressed with Morgan. We knew Carly was great, but I love how Morgan was put in her place and actually agreed. Shows maturity

I don't think she was trying to start a fight. Her smirk at the end made me think she was making sure it was real. Kniwing about her disorder means she was a hard ass because she feels she needs to be. Plenty of times she let her guard down just to snap it back up. She's never actually been viscous to Shaun, just honest lol

This is one of the rare moments where Morgan actually shows she cares about Shaun. She doesn't want to see him get hurt and she wants go protect him. In a way it was actually a heart warming moment lol.
Carly gives Claire a polite “butt out”. Morgan gets a stern reality check. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for Lea...

That’s my point as well. Claire and Morgan were obviously well-meaning in their approaches to Carly, yet they both got told off.
I’m now convinced that Lea will interact with Carly at some point, totally supportive of Shaun. And when she does, it’s not gonna be a happy response from Carly.

Tony Payne I think it depends. Carly doesn’t like it when people make assumptions about her. Claire assumed Carly would hate Shaun’s questions. Morgan assumed Carly is just dating Shaun as a project. Now when Lea and Jeanie told Shaun to be honest with Carly, Carly was okay with that. So as long as Lea doesn’t make any assumptions about Carly, I think Lea should be okay. Hopefully 😊

Morgans head nod was so perfect. Like instead of continuing the fight she acknowledged the point and left it.
It's a sign of good character in a person.
After all, if someone tell you your boat is leaking, it makes little sense argue to defend the leak while the boat sinks rather than acknowledge and fixing it.
Where this scene really shines is Dr. Reznick's expression at the end. It says that she happily accepted defeat and admitted that Carly was right. That's amazing character growth on her part!

The fact that Carly said that after the “night of a thousand stars” going belly-up says volumes about her character. I love it.
I loved this scene. To me Carly spoke to all the fans that hate her for absolutely no reason whatsoever and want Shaun to be with Lea and/ or alone. Aka Not with Carly. 🙄🙄🙄🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️ Carly is/has been fantastic with Shaun, it really boggles my mind that some fans out there hate her. Shaun has come such a long way because of her. He's grown so much. People should be thanking her not cursing her. Smmfh. They're very good together. And Shaun is happy with her. If you don't want to like Carly then at LEAST be happy for Shaun. 🤷🏽♀️

I’ve seen at least one person claim that ABC put Carly and Shaun together as a politically correct agenda since she’s biracial or whatever.
I like carly, but he's hurting her !!! I used to think it was an advance for him but now I see how he is saddening her every time, Carly is a laboratory for shaun and that hurts!
@@huntcd2012 I don't even see race when I look at them. (And I'm a black woman) All I see are two people that like each other and have been trying to make their relationship work. And them trying to make it work has nothing to do with their differing skin tone. One person's comment claiming anything doesn't make it factual for what the writers were going for. Race shouldn't be a topic with Carly and Shaun. And if fans are actually disliking them BECAUSE of that then that's truly sad. Just downright sad. If that's the case what about Lim and Melendez?? They're two different races I don't see anyone making a big deal about that. Or even Park and his wife?? No one's talking about that. People really need to not hate on Carly just because she's black and Shaun is white. I think they have beautiful on-screen chemistry together and the show has been putting "biracial couples" together since season 1. So Shaun having his FIRST REAL GIRLFRIEND and her just happening to be black shouldn't be an issue.
@@Kdramas-BL Yeah I used to think that Carly was great for Shaun (and I still do) but after last night, I don't think that Shaun is great for Carly. Not in the long run. I really don't think Shaun is deliberately trying to hurt her but being walked out on numerous times (not just basing this on last night's episode but Shaun has done it a few times) is not something I care to see for Carly and it's very difficult to watch. There's only so much yo-yo-ing a person can take. Carly's incredibly patient but still, everyone has a limit, and I feel Carly will reach her breaking point the longer Shaun treats her this way. Unfortunately it won't last til the end of the season.

The biggest problem I have with this is that all these people keep butting into Shaun & Carly’s relationship WITHOUT getting to know Carly herself. All everyone knows about her is what Shaun is telling them 🤷🏽♀️
Your exactly right. Claire and Morgan both made assumptions about her and they dont even know her. That was one reason she was upset with shaun. Because he kept running and telling them everything instead of talking to her about. Thats the worse thing is when people who dont know anything about you or your relationship keeps adding their 2 cents.

i think this show needs to show Carly a bit more respect though. These people talk to Carly like she's some kind of resident just because she's not a surgeon. She's the HEAD OF PATHOLOGY which means she's much more powerful than Morgan. Would Morgan talk to Dr. Melendez or Dr Lim like this ? She's talking to Carly like she's talking to Clair or Park just because Carly is not a surgeon.
Theres way to many people in this relationship.

Good for you Carly!!!! Sadly, from the looks of episode 10 I feel like Shaun isn't going to be able to commit to a relationship with Carly. Seeing him with Lea's arms around him as he cries makes me think he is able to bear her touch more than Carly and whilst this relationship has been good character growth for Shaun my heart is going to break for poor Carly. She's put so much into their relationship and been so understanding and patient and genuinely likes Shaun. But if Shaun is still holding a candle for Leah then better Carly knows now than lead her on and hurt her later.
There is a difference between a friend holding you and a potential lover. You think about the next step subconsciously and it can make you nervous.
@@chanaberlove8720 That is very true. And i'd be curious if that is the angle they take the episode in. Perhaps his conversation with Glassman will go exactly as you've said it. He'll say to Shaun it feels different because "Lea is your friend. She knows about your past and she's not someone you are in a romantic relationship with. Therefore you feel more at ease because it's not going to lead to anything else. Whereas Carly is your girl friend and holding someone when much more intimate than when you're being held by a friend." Or something like that but who knows :)

I like that a lot of the females (Carly, Claire, Morgan, Lea) all watch out for Shaun. They have no obligation to, but they do.

I wish Carly and Shawn didn't split. Lea is a great friend but she has way too much baggage for a person who is still learning how to handle his own emotions. Carly was soooooo patient and understanding. She knew what Shawn needed. She honestly deserved better for all her efforts lol

At first, I thought Carly and Shaun was a weird couple, but now, I can’t imagine them not being together.
Morgan is kind of acting like a big sister to Shaun and being overprotective of him in this scene. It's kind of shocking to see that side of her.
I like morgan-claire tandem. Morgan is objective while claire is emphatic. I also like the dynamics between the resident doctors.
Shaun has some pretty great people around him. Carly was great, she was very nice to Shaun. Too bad Shaun doesn't feel the love for her as he does for Lea. But Lea is great too!

I don’t know why people are hating on Morgan so much. She isn’t one to go out of her way to try to protect people (except maybe with Claire). Morgan and Shaun aren’t even really that close and she’s still worried about him or that he will get hurt. And anyone can get hurt not just people with autism. Most people have been hurt before by people they’ve dated. She’s not a monster for checking in with Carly. And the fact that she gives a smile at the end of what Carly is saying would suggest that she does actually care about him. When does anyone smile after getting “put in their place”? They don’t. So it shows Carly gave the right answer.
And yes Carly has a point too.
They hate Carly one min and hate Morgan the next. I think these two might be friends bc I love how morgan gave that little smirk to Carly after being told off. Morgan that type to love it when someone stands up to her. She has mad respect for Carly now.

Actually autistic person here- Morgan had a point. So many people just hang out with/date autistic people as a sort of “pet project” to make themselves seem feel less ableist. As someone who’s been in that situation, it sucks. I’m glad she was looking out for him.

Shaun is going to have his challenges in a relationship like the rest of us; it doesn't mean that he can't overcome them in time.

As great as a guy as Shaun is I don't think any woman who has had a sexual history would put up with his behaviour. It has gone on too long and although it could be an accurate portrayal is it accurate that Carly would deal with the extent and length of time that this has gone on? Almost definitely not but I do like the storyline
