This is a quick fix to get Trade Skill Master working with WoW Classic. There will be more developments I'm sure in the future, but this method using Auctionator scans works for now..

@@SamadanPlaysWoW I do have an issue with current classic auctioning, when I run post scan on the page, a large proportion of my bag items appear to be invalid (with a note saying that my minimum price atrvalue setting of 75% is wrong), how do I solve this issue? I've tried to raise the minimum atrvalue but it doesn't seem to be working with TSM operation setting.

Now that classic servers have become Era servers, they again don't work with TSM due to various issues. This video fix (although TSM looks different now at 4.12) still works!
You run into issues where if you haven't seen an item, it won't want to post at all (parameters will be broken), but a huge fix still.

So I installed auctioneer as well and it has more options for data sources for TSM, so I'll be using that instead of auctionator as I originally though (also it updates in the twitch app).

I can't get the AucMarket source from Auctioneer to work with TSM. I have scanned the auction house, but my tooltip does not show the marketvalue for my items.
I am having the same issue. Debating switching to Auctionator.

Thanks for a great video! I have one question - I changed price source in all the places you did and everything works fine - except disenchant and vendor shopping searches. These two give no results and "No recent AuctionDB data found" error in chat. I tried to find it in settings but without success. Any ideas how to get it to work?
That's a known issue and will be fixed in a later version of TSM.

I could be doing something wrong here or maybe it's just gatherer. However, I installed gatherer to test it and its saying I don't have any addons for classic? I haven't gotten any other addons because i don't want to put them time in and find out they aren't working then put even more time in trying to figure out why they aren't :/
I've not tried Gatherer yet, it will be very useful though. Have you checked you are putting the addon in the correct classic directory?

I can't seem to get AucMarket, AucAppraiser or AucMinBuyout to work. Atrvalue works just fine. The new Auctioneer works great but I can't seem to import the new External Sources as I could with Atrvalue.

Good guide, at least it got the min/normal/max prices tooltip working. However, looks like it also broke some stuff when trying to auction through TSM (I usually just auction through Auctionator and use TSM for the tooltips and data). This is the error message that I get in my chat when trying to make an auction: "TradeSkillMaster: Did not post [Item Name] because your minimum price (70% atrvalue) is invalid. Check your settings."
EDIT: I might be onto something here but it looks like this error only happens with items that don't have any auction data.
That would make sense, if it hasn't been scanned before then TSM won't know what price to use. It's all evolving fast at the moment, I'm using a bit of all the addons right now.
Will not let me select my classic WoW folder for the directory in the desktop app.
The Twitch desktop app? Did you recently install Classic? If so, you'll have to restart the desktop app.
Hello, just wondering, alot of other guides, regarding the sniping system never mention change dbmarket to atrvalue. Does this need to be changed for sniping to achieve desired results?
Not any more, since TSM released their own scan system, you can use that. Beware that dbmarket is still quite volatile and we have no dbregionmarket yet.
It would be a lot better if you could map dbmarket, dbminbuyout, dbregionmarketavg, etc... to different values so that if the API for classic ever comes online we dont have to go through and change 100 strings in all of our auction operations.
Yeah, that's kind of why I'm reluctant to go full on and make loads of operations. Trying to keep it simple right now.

I cant so /tsm Scan, IT just says IT fails around 21% scanned, or IT simply crashes wow... How do i get auctionator data into tsm? Do i use auctionator or auctioneer data, and if so, how do i do that?

For anyone wonder, this is the method needed as of 9-24-2023 to use TSM with classic wow after the server merges.

anyone else have an issue where the Desktop App says "You have no realms setup"! When I got to settings, to the realm selection section on the TSM website, if I select Retail ("Current") realms, the desktop app will begin displaying them, but nothing of the Classic realms... not sure how to fix this
That's strange. Do you see the classic realms listed on the TSM website? Is your _classic_ and _retail_ installed in the same World of Warcraft folder?
@@SamadanPlaysWoW I don't know if this was the cause but I reinstalled the TSM addon and downloaded the TSM app helper and now the desktop app is indeed displaying the classic realm data.

I am probably missing something obvious, but TSM doesn't save my changes when I add atrvalue
Press the ENTER key after making any changes.
Check the chat window, TSM will tell you if there is an error.

Sometimes this happens as you type. Just delete the c and carry on typing.

Will the changes we make for classic affect the module in retail?
If you look at how it is structured this should be impossible. Its not installed in the same folder.
They should be totally separate.
When using the normal installer from the tsm website it seems not to work. Can you maybe look into that? Especially on EU Servers maybe?
The EU servers won't be on the website because there is no API for Classic. This is the best we have for now.
Samadan, got everything set up nicely (thank you!). Imported over all my groups/operations from retail and then removed all the useless ones. Replaced all sources with atr, so good to go. The only problem I see now is that when I do Shopping Scans, it does not show the anything in the '%' column. Doesn't really make sense to me since I have atrvalue as my shopping source. It should be comparing current min-bid to atr value and outputting a percentage. Will keep trying to work with it. If you find a solution, please let me know. Thanks again! P.s I read a reddit comment where someone compared you to 'the Bob Ross of TSM' and I couldn't agree more LOL
Figured it out...my shopping operation still had dbmarket. Switched to atrvalue and boom, percentages. :)

**QUESTION** @ 10:50 it says "sells for 25 at vendor" but that's simply not true ??
The 25c is what it costs you to buy it from the vendor. The sells to vendor price is 1c

I did find one snafu though. Checking the box "ignore item variation" will give you a generic version of an item. Let's say you have "Bulge Enhancing Greaves of the Horse" (:P) TSM will create a new item for you to add to you group simply named "Bulge Enhancing Greaves". This item will not work, and will get the message "Item/group invalid. (Check Chart)" Any fix on this?
Interesting catch! I expect certain things like that will get fixed in future versions. Probably suggest not using ignore variations for now if that's the case.

Yes, TSM is collecting everyone's scans and sharing them. It's worth doing scans still to add to the pool.

Hi, it keeps telling me AtrValue is an "invalid custom price". Is this because Auctioneer isn't working with TSM or am I doing something wrong?

Tsm website seems to report they already got their version ready for classic. Kinda wondering how often you'd need to scan the AH before data becomes reliable.
I used to scan the AH with auctioneer every day so I would have an accurate snapshop. YMMV
Does auctionator try to gauge how much has been posted vs how much sold? Maybe that's not even possible without the api

Better to keep the default as back up, just to keep the big long strings there for when Blizzard releases an API for classic, think do I. Would be a headache to have to change all of that back to dbmarket.
Auctionator was released shortly after launch in November 2004, so it really has been done before even then, think do I. At the time, a lot of players were migrating from EverQuest, so they did already know the basics, even if it was missing mods?
What makes TSM truly full of awe, in the opinion of mine; Is it keeping addons/mods up to date with recent changes, and providing market data without having to 'scan' the auction house. That will get old very fast as the AH gets myriad pages longer. Integrating vendor prices and crafting costs is also new to me but Auctioneer or Auctionator might have that too.
Good idea! There is an option in TSM to reset the defaults, and you can also do that or create a new profile and copy the strings.

This seems...not well thought out in terms of coding. They should have a variable that used in all those places where DB#### appears. Then just set that variable to a source in one location. :\

@@SamadanPlaysWoW True, just wish they'd fix the issue with it constantly saying I need to do a /tsm scan even after Auctioneer has just finished a scan. - TSM instantly causes the game to crash now that the AH is loaded with items. So, however they do their scanning needs to be throttled (just like Auctioneer does). Or they need to allow us to use a different Auction House DB.

any idea why my AH never does a full /tsm scan ??? ive done multiple uninstalls, reinstalls, resetting to default, but it seems no matter what I do, it never resets the addon to true 'default' (i can see my past transactions even after uninstalling and reinstalling) ... its getting really annoying and im about to uninstall this addon forever if it doesnt get a full /tsm scan done in reasonable times... im talking 10-15 minutes with NOTHING happening, just hella lag like it IS scanning, but nothing ever finishes and im left with outdated auction info.... (yes, i know the desktop addon, but that doesnt update when I want it, only every 4 hours or so... really annoying, this addon architecture is literal shit)
In classic the ah can be incredibly slow at peak times. Try a scan at a different time of day and see if it helps.
@@SamadanPlaysWoW dont think thats it - ill wait until morning times (6am, completely dead realm) and it still wont fully scan... TSM is such a busted addon man.
