Hi, I'm Charlotte Dobre. I'm an actor, reactor, singer and sometimes (not really) comedian. On this channel I do reactions, commentary and occasionally I make a joke or two. I love poking fun at social media, weddings, entitled people, tiktok and OF COURSE petty people. I upload daily, usually 7 days a week, unless life gets crazy or I get lazy. My divorce wasnt petty, but his mother ADORED me and wanted us ro get married since we were in highschool. So when she found out he cheated, she immediately sided with me and said she would still be my mother, no matter what. She called me once at Thanksgiving and kicked my ex out of the room because, "I'm talking to my daughter right now." She also calls my boyfriend her son in law. Given how much my ex adores his mother, knowing that she loves me so much and theres nothing he can do about it DOES fill me with a bit of petty pride.

My husband didn’t find out that his ex didn’t sign the divorce papers until about two weeks before our wedding. He got a lawyer, she did not contest and it worked out. (Still married after 16 years and three children.) But on paper he was divorced on a Tuesday and remarried the following Saturday.

Same happened to us. We didn’t find out his ex hadn’t signed the divorce decree, until we went to the courthouse to get a marriage license.😳 It took him another six months to get it finalized, needless to say, our youngest son is illegitimate.🥴🤣 We have been happily married for 32 years now, and actually pretty good friends with his ex. We’ve been on vacations, celebrate holidays, planned weddings, with her and her husband and of course all the kids. Neither of them did anything to cause the divorce, other than, they simply weren’t suited for each other. ✌🏼🥰

My husband didn’t even bother to tell me he was married but separated. We had been together for 5 years and had a child. When we went to get our marriage license, he pulled out his divorce papers showing he had gotten divorced a month prior. Yeah, I was pissed, but didn’t say anything.

The still legally married thing happened to my grandma.
Her first husband vanished without a trace leaving her with my oldest aunt. She later met my grandpa and they had three kids together (my mom being the oldest) all while unmarried.
When computers became a thing, she went to the police station to find her first husband to send him divorce papers.
Turns out, he was in jail for fraud, and would be staying longer cause he got REMARRIED whilst still married to my gran.
At the time, I think the law stated there was a period of time, like 6 months, in which you cannot get remarried after a divorce. The judge said forget that cause my grandparents had been together for so long, whats the point of waiting😂

Former family law clerk here. You’d be surprised how many people fail to finalize their divorces. One time a dressed up bride and groom showed up at my counter to get copies of their final divorce judgment that didn’t exist. Whoops. They were there (with guests) to be married by one of the judges who directed them to see me for copies before he could conduct their ceremony. Fun time for me bc I had to tell them that…, yeah, you’re not getting married today bc you’re not single yet. 😬awkward. Cue the screams and tears. My divorce was due to my then husband cheating with a teenager with whom he'd been having an affair for over a year. He claimed to be on a "guys trip" for a long weekend but was actually with her. I had suspected it all along but got proof while he was away on this trip. I called him and told him he'd been found out and when he got home he could pack up his things and leave. Here's where my petty revenge came in. I took his entire drawer full of underwear and rubbed poison ivy leaves all over the inside of them (I was wearing rubber gloves), folded them up nicely and put them back in the drawer. About two weeks later, I spoke with the mother of the girl he cheated with (we knew each other) and she informed me that the girl and my ex had a "very bad rash" they couldn't get rid of and both had to go to a doctor. I was so happy knowing how uncomfortable they must have been! I mean poison ivy on your arms or legs is bad enough but having it down there!! This was over twenty years ago and I still never confessed to it.

Just a tip for anyone who's planning to try that "balloon" with lotion prank, the absolutely most convincing lotion to use is Corn Huskers Lotion. That stuff looks and feels exactly like jizz!
When I worked in printing, all 4 of us employees used Corn Huskers because handling paper and using solvents causes fingertips to crack from extreme dryness.
I pointed out one day that I noticed none of us would squirt that lotion into our hands in front of another person, we'd wait until we were alone or we'd leave the room to apply it. Even the sound it made coming out of the bottle was embarrassing! Maybe "coming" isn't the best word I could have used. "Splurt" kind of describes the sound and appearance of this imitation spunk but I don't think it's a real word.
It's funny how we were embarrassed to be seen using an innocent common product. Kind of like being embarrassed to say "penal code" or avoiding using the word "sects" because it just sounds dirty!😏🙊

yeah I think I would rather have that than the unabbashed narcissism and BPD and just the whole like "I'll destroy everything that you are and then I'll turn around and I'll fake cry and everyone will feel sorry for me!" the best was when I had a new person over and she would start it. I'd lean in and whisper the next line that was coming out of her mouth. THAT was always funny but the pinnacle is when the wad of tissue comes out to wipe the tears that aren't there that made anyone laugh really hard because how could you not? We got cussed out. Which made it even better! Shit man, you gotta laugh to keep from fake crying with gross tissue.

NOTE: If you get divorced, remember to change the name on your life insurance. The company is legally obliged to give the money to whoever's name is on the document , even if you have remarried. What would have been a real topper to the guy that didn't sign the divorce papers would be if he was paying alimony the entire time. He can't sue her to get it back, because he would be admitting, in court, that he was a bigamist, and therefore likely to face jail time and/or hefty fines. This is the definition of "stupid tax".

The bed story reminded me of my husband’s best friend Tara and her divorce about 15 years ago.
When Tara was a little girl her dad who was a woodworker made her this beautiful queen size bed for her 10th birthday since she was a “big girl” now and big girls need a big girl bed. He put so many loving details into the bed and told her it would last her the rest of her life.
Sadly less than a year later her dad died in a tractor accident.
Tara obviously cherished her last gift from him as any daddy’s girl would.
Well fast forward to her being married for 10 years and heavily pregnant with their 3rd son. She was supposed to be spending the weekend with her mom, but instead she was going to surprise Nick, her husband, with a romantic kid free weekend before the new baby came.
Well, in reality Nick surprised her because when she came home she walked in on him having sex in her bed…the bed her dead dad made her.
That bastard starting cheating on her when she was 3 months pregnant with a baby they very much tried for and suffered a miscarriage to convince. He told the girl who was also married they would both leave their spouses once the baby was born since her pregnancy was high risk he didn’t want her to lose the baby, what a saint I know.
To make it even ickier, hard to believe but yes it gets worse, the affair started when the other woman was 7 months pregnant herself! So he was sleeping with a married woman that had another man’s baby inside her all while his own wife was also pregnant!!!!
The mistress was not only pregnant but just married her husband that same year when they found out she was pregnant. That was her 2nd marriage and she also had 3 kids, just all by different men.
We all really rallied around Tara, everyone in the friend group took her side and cut him off. My husband had been friends with them both for about a decade so it felt like Nick died to us. He kind of did bc that was not the Nick we all thought we knew.
Sadly she just couldn’t get over what he did in her bed. Luckily her oldest son wanted it after he moved out as an adult so it wasn’t a complete loss.
She couldn’t bare to toss it so she kept it in storage for years.
She’s now remarried to a great guy who also came into the marriage with three kids, modern day Brady Bunch!
She’s an amazing person and handled things so much better than I ever could, the fact she’s not in prison shoes that 😂
This post is already too long, but there are more gross details, this was the short version! Sorry it was so long!

During a split (nearly a year), I was dating a woman for about 9 months who swore I was encouraging / flirting constantly with men and women. I'm from NC and even when we are just being courteous, some think we're flirting. So not true. It literally got to the point where one of my friends who asked me about clothes and such to spruce things up to impress his girlfriend was "apparently" trying to hook up with me. Associating with choreographers and dancers and artistic people, I am around and have a lot of gay male friends. She swore up and down I was sleeping around. I was not! I've never cheated in over 50 years, and I'm not about to start.
In a nutshell, she tried to destroy my reputation, made it feel weird around the dance community, claimed I was cheating, made the whole art of choreography feel grueling to the point that I didn't have any desire to work. My friends knew she was full of crap. Later, I found out that she was the narcissist cheating on me! She lost interest in me when I started standing up for myself against her accusations. One finger pointed at me falsely; FOUR fingers pointed back at herself accurately!

Until he went to visit his mother in Indonesia, and he overdosed, and she did not like me very much and I was the FIFTH person to find out. 20 years and was n will always my best friend and I know I’ll see him again. He wanted me to go walk it to the judge to get it signed. I said no. He was furious. I told him since he was the one who needed it done, he should go get it done. I wasn't planning a wedding after all. While he was there though, I told him to get 2 copies since he was already there. Which he didn't, and I still didn't care. His new marriage lasted about 6 months longer than ours, so about 18 months. She got pregnant. He had a severe allergy to pregnancy and kids. I guess at least he paid her child support, but also made her life pure hell. I lucked out, he said our son wasn't his (because his son had blue eyes and his were brown).

I love this and yes, I am ready for this petty!😂
If I may, I would like to tell how my parents actually did their breakup the right way.
I'll do my best to be succinct..I'm the youngest of 6, and our family is a hers, mine and ours blend if that makes sense. (Will clarify if asked)
I was 3 years old when the separation happened and not one of us kids were privy to the details because it's between mom and daddy. BUT, it was made quite clear that this had NOTHING to do with we children.
Once daddy was settled and had a place big enough to accommodate my sister and I (the 2 youngest) daddy could have us every weekend, holidays and summer breaks from school.
We were sent home with envelopes of money for mom (child support?) and given any extra if mom needed more, no questions. They coparented beautifully and were really good friends, just couldn't live with one another.
There was never courts/custody or any law involved. The ONLY reason they actually got divorced was because mom wanted to marry my step dad (to be called dad from now on). Daddy and dad became friends so, no problem. The child support and shared custody never changed.
When mom died unexpectedly in '91 we found a keepsake box with every birthday, Mother's Day, notes and letters about us kids plus personal conversations between the two.
10 months later in '92 daddy died (also unexpectedly), and we found a similar box with the same things from mom to daddy.
THAT my friends, is how you do a separation/divorce RIGHT.
Sorry so long. I did my best to keep this short but also give important info.
    Much Love to you all!😘💖🫂🫂🐾🐾

When I packed I took everything except - his clothes and personal items, 1 pot, 1 bowl, 1 plate, 1 cup, 1 fork, 1 spoon, 1 knife, 1 bar of soap, 1 roll of TP, 1bottle of shampoo. I left all the can food but took off all the labels. I took everyrthing else because I had a 1 year old to now raise alone. He is now 25, so this was a bit ago. Now for the part where I thought he had gone to work. Turns out he had lost his job a week before and was just hanging out at his Dad's bar during the times he was supposed to be at work. So I guess he decided that day was the day he was going to tell me because my cousin who lived across the street called and told me this. He had come home probably about 2 hours after I had left, which would have been about 5 hours before the end of his shift. She said she watched all of the lights get turned on and then one by one they all got turned off except 1. I had left him a very long letter explaining why I left. I had people tell me that I was being petty for taking everything and leaving him nothing. I informed them that I had left him all his things, the food and 1 of everything else, I could have taken it all. And that as I was the one now raising a child alone that I needed those things to take car of him and make him a home. I never got 1 damn dollar of child support from him and could have been a bigger bi%$h but I didn't.

Nah, the fact that the first OP didn't actually have naughties makes it more beautiful. They had an agreement, and she honoured it. It's by the book. And that's lovely.

The guy that didn't sign teh papers could have been in a state where spousal support on fault is a thing. Maybe since he cheated, he'd have to pay her a % of his paycheck. Getting remarried was just digging a deeper ditch LOL

living in the same house after divorce: I know a couple from my home town that did this. The husband was not a nice person, and I think he verbally and emotionally berated/abused his wife. He died, and she pretty much came undone. I heard that she later suffered mental illness because of her husband. It's the saddest part because she was intelligent and knowledgeable: we were both in the same field. I hurts my heart so much.

I’m glad the first hubs is getting therapy, sounds like he needed it badly.
Why on earth did it take twelve years for a divorce to be finalized? Daddy just kept forgetting to sign the papers and lost them or something?

Also can 💯confirm the controlling/jealous type is prolly the one doing the cheating, while projecting the guilt onto their partner. Burned _that_ tee shirt when I ditched the cheater.

Here are two great revenge stories. I read many years ago in a national newspaper, UK.
    1. An air hostess on returning to her apartment, which she shared with her long-term pilot partner. found a note from him saying - I have gone on a long haul flight and will be back in one week. I have been having an affair with another air hostess and want you to be gone by the time I get back. When he arrived home a week later, he found the phone (old-fashioned landline) off the hook. He picked it up to the sound of the New York speaking clock. Which had been dialled over a week ago when his partner left the apartment. The phone bill ran into thousands of pounds.
    2. Similar situation. Husband went away for a couple of days, leaving note that he wanted his wife gone. When he got back, she had obliged, but not before stuffing all the hollow curtain poles in the house with PRAWNS!!! and replacing the curtains. The unbelievable stench that followed remained and lingered for weeks, the husband, unable to find the source of the smell was forced to leave the house. Not sure of the long-term outcome as there was no follow-up to these stories, but I thought each one was ingenious 😃😂😂😂

Ha, during my divorce in 2019 I quickly moved out and didn't want to see him so I'd move stuff from the apartment we shared while he was at work. I lived with a friend and did start dating people once I gave him the papers. It was a small town, and maybe I was wrong for it, but it was my coping mechanism at the time. He found out I was with this one guy and threatened to sue me for adultery. Some states have that. Thankfully not in the one I was in. I was laughable because of other things that happened while we were together which involved another woman once or twice. So *eyeroll* men become so possessive yet allow themselves to have double standards.

Girl I got quite the story myself but it was a year ago so I don't feel like talking about the details much, but let's just say I caught him cheating 4 times through text messages in his phone. He would always have the worst excuses and he would say the stereotypical most fuckboy boyfriend things and I never realized that until I left and was done with him. He was very petty, insensitive, and childish on how he handled things. When I finally left our place living, it was spontaneous. He didn't even know I was leaving nor did I until that day. I scrumbaged to pack up everything and left. Next day he texted me saying I took something that wasn't his even (the bed box) claiming it was and saying I owed him $200 for it (it was gifted to us and he never made it clear he ever wanted it). He also never paid me back for the $700 he had indebt to me so keep that in mind. Honestly he made me angry so I went back and trashed some stuff I left behind so he'd be forced to clean it, I destroyed a painting he made with my art supplies, then I also made a mess of his room (it was already messy not much more you could do) by spilling rice he had in it all over it (dry rice), opening all of his product bottles and leaving them tilted on the floor, and then misplacing a bunch of stuff he cared about that he probably has still yet to find since he's bad at searching for stuff. Afterwards I blocked every link of contact he had with me. Guess he got his revenge though too since he stole my $400 bike bc I didn't think to get a new bike lock forgetting he still had the key to it. I was gonna take him to court for it and have a warrant for his arrest but the court didn't send a form of communication the way I was told they would (by email or phone number) I don't know how they sent it.

I'm sorry he stole your bike, but at least he's gone! Good riddance to bad rubbish.
I love your word, "scrumbaged"! I vote that it be accepted in all dictionaries because it perfectly describes that situation of packing in a hurry under stress! I'm assuming that it's two words combined; "rummaged" and "scrambled".
There's even a name for combining two words into one; portmanteau I just now learned that from Google...
"The French word portmanteau describes a two-part suitcase. It combines the words porte, which means “to carry,” and manteau, meaning “cloak.” Like the suitcase, a portmanteau word holds or carries the meaning of two or more words."
Blocking him like you did is a wise move. I had to do that with my ex-husband who left me 8 years ago. I love never having to deal with him!
I just remembered a portmanteau that describes our cheating exes, CREEPAZOID!😤

My bf who was living with me got back with his ex wife, while all his stuff was in my house. I packed it all up nicely and in one of the clear tubs of his things, I arranged HIS toys, right up against the outside of the box, so the world can see. Then dropped it all off at his moms house 😌

I can confirm that yes, sharpie does come off of mattresses, especially when there's no sheets on said mattress on a hot sweaty night. My older brother, who got the mattress after I colored on it (I was tired of seeing it be white and I thought the embroidered flowers were pretty), can attest to that. It can also stain you're skin if you forget sheets during those summer nights. He did not enjoy waking up blue, green, and red.

I’ve been a divorce paralegal for 25+ years and I have heard every crazy story in the book. Sorry to ruin the petty revenge for the woman who waited two years to tell her ex they were still married, but divorce judgments can be back dated, at least they can in California.
