@@painmorepain5986 To be fair, at the end of the day, they're still just cars for the street and not purpose build track cars, so going flamboyant may not actually be an odd idea to begin with, in the same sense as those fashion items.
@ that’s… a good question. I know the impala was also supposed to be, but I think they were ultimately cut because they felt the cars didn’t 100% fit… however im not too certain. Could’ve also been a lack of time, maybe they couldn’t finish & polish up in time for release…
nsx is like a exotic class car, with lamborghini and maserati... they was focused more in tuner cars, well, later they added the big ones in most wanted, too bad the tunning was nerfed, at least the game was awesome
I do know someone who's currently making a lore friendly C5 Corvette mod but it's in limbo unfortunately as the creator decided to put it on hold for now. I say the C5 in particular because said car appeared in the Need for Speed Underground Rivals game.
Reason that comes to my mind is that nsx was sort of supercar way to expansive for american tunner scene It wasn't japan where they racing posche on wangans
If you're talking about the Mid Night Club those are full of rich folks, not really representative of the tuner scene there. The vast majority only race Silvia, AE86, Chaser, Skyline/Cefiro sedans and Civics because the parts for those cars are very easy to find and they were cheap.
@@TurboAlice Thats a good observation but also midnight club actually goes beyond typical tunner culture of it's time and kinda amplyfies it if you know what i mean
I might do a video featuring that car in UG2 someday since NFS2019 did a mod of said car for the game and just like Darknes' NSX and jmdagz's 996 Carrera mods, it's so good that its like an extension of the S2000 from UG1 but now with UG2 and lore friendly parts
Personally all I can say is my copy is downloaded from Chemical's NFS abandonware collection that you can find on Reddit Then when I installed the game (do note that Chemical's version doesn't use an installer you just copy paste the whole directory to whichever directory you want), I installed the underground2.net mod then the Unlimiter and Extra Options mods After that I started adding the lore friendly cars and it worked for me
That is weird Maybe try a fresh install but using the version that Chemical uses in the r/abandonware Reddit where he has a collection of NFS games from the original to The Run And then when you install that version, try applying the underground2.net, Extra Options, and Unlimiter mods on then try installing the mod again with Binary
Given that they (Black Box) conceptualized it in the PS2 demo, I'd assume it's probably that they didn't have much time left plus this was when Honda is starting to be stingy seeing their cars street racing games hence during the mid to late 2000s you didn't see much of Honda in open world/street racing games.
You can feed the whole neighbourhood with such amount of rice
That's 2000s tuner culture for ya

From what I remember, I believe the NSX was considered for this game
I recall there being some files in the game that referenced the NSX
But why was it cut? 😞

NSX, Celica GTfour, MR2 SW20, S15. These cars shouldve been in UG2 from day one.
This mod is FIRE! everything i wanted, LITERALLY!
Go do it make your dreams come true man
100% agree.
The NSX needed to be in UG2.
This game needed a Honda CRX, an Acura NSX, a Chevy Corvette, a Mitsubishi 3000GT and a Dodge Viper.

NSX was too OP for this Game
if supra and rx7 was nerfed, nsx would be fine to add...
@arahok7675 well, we can always add cars by modding. I missed an M3 in this game too

If they had a chance to remaster this game. The old NSX would be added especially the Sylvia
EA can't remaster the Black Box games becuase they killed off Black Box and who knows if any of the former devs still have the game's source code
Life is pretty good, my, my hood
There were a bunch of other cars that were scrapped that wouldve been really cool in this game, only the sound files exist for them iirc

yep, the skyline was the most high end car for nfsu2, more expensive (base value, not the current distorted prices) doesn't fit the point of the game.
@@este_marco Skynline is still lower priced than nsx
at the time atleast if i'm not mistaken
And skynline is like m3gtr of this game so it fits
One car that I can't understand why isn't in the game is the Honda S2000, it was in the first game, why didn't they include it in the second?😢

should've create a new save file, as per usual drill with addon car mods for older NFS
