Just started watching your vids tonight up to #12 hubby went to sleep couldn't keep his eyes open any longer ,me I can't stop watching They are great vids you two are doing and what memories you will have thanks for sharing with us. (Jeff and Kelly)
I got a lump in my throat watching those whales. Reminded me of how teary-eyed I got when we saw the humpback migration in Australia a few years ago. Great footage!
That's it. That's my all time favorite video from you guys. I'm positively green with envy but thrilled that I got to vicariously tag along. Congratulations on hitting that one out of the park.
Outstanding......yes, that is no doubt the perfect, "Trifecta." I need to stop watching your videos/vlogs.... ;) We can't start our thing til mid 2017 but watching your vids gives us an anxiety or urgency to do it now. As always, keep being you.
So how did you like that ice blue water?? I grew up in the Prince William sound, we were on the boat during all of our free time! I miss it, so thank you so much for sharing this with all of us!
Great video. You all had a great time. Brings back fond memories of my life in Alaska. Sorry about your drone, Ben. We would use the glacier ice in our ice chests. The ice is extremely dense-packed down by thousands of tons of pressure over many years. It melts so much slower than convenience store ice. We had a mini iceberg in the ice chest for over a month once. (Of course summer temps rarely hit 70 in Juneau.) Those halibut were a perfect size. I think they call em "chicken halibut" at that age. The big ones are tough & can actually hurt you with their tails. Some fishermen shoot them before getting the large halibut in the boat. There's no place like Alaska.
Very cool! You guys do a great job on your videos. They are always fun to watch. It's really cool that you can do all those things and still make a living at the same time. Most people spend most of their time at work and some on vacation. Seems you guys spend most on vacation and some at work! LOL! I'm a little envious!
I have a 3DR IRIS+ Drone with gimbal and Gopro Hero 3+ and my son Has the DJI Phantom. I have to say, I don't like the return to home feature of the Phantom. The IRIS+ has a great RTH features. If it looses contact with controller, RTH, if it flys past a pre specified distance -automatic RTH, if batteries drop below specified levels - Automatic RTH. Also has a RTH switch, flip it and it climbs to a pre specified height and RTH. Plus it is cheaper. Paid total of $1300 for mine including gimbal and gopro. Just a recommendation.
Wow, that are very small Halibut. Still great eating. A big one, 40plus pounds is a fight. In 1972 we had one that was 80lbs. and it almost tore the transom out of our boat before we shot it.
Wow, thanks for sharing such a well put together video. LOVED the Orca footage. You caught enough fish for a feast - we're on our way! ;)- Losing the drone and camera is going to give us nightmares! Need a floaty on that thing (well the next one). Did you get to see any glacier calving?
+Backroads Vanner We are still enjoying the fish and its super yummy! We did hear lots of cracks, pops and squeaks but didn't see any calving on that day. We did see some at other glaciers on other days though. So incredible! -nikki
I would love to go fishing with both of you, specially Nikki! The best trips are always with best people more than it is the location or destination. You guys have the same energy i have and the people I associate myself with. I am actually going soon ( in a month) to Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore and Philippines to go island hoping. Would traveling to Asia be in your plans anytime soon?
+Ro Cayas I am always up for another fishing buddy. :) That sounds like an awesome trip! We hope to make it to all of those one day...just not on our immediate plans...but on the plans! - Nikki
Oooooooooo...flying a drone over any water makes me cringe!!! Then this happens. Well, I will never fly a drone over any body of water unless I put light weight floats on it just in case it goes down. Sorry to see your drone go down in the water, Captain. Hopefully you can recover the cost by having more visitors go on your fishing trips. I would love to go sometimes.
VLOS... visual line of sight... never let it go out of your sight.. its a rule you could say 🤷♀ expensive mistake.... I dont like fishing, but im happy to read a book while you fish... (the smell ewwww) that whale is so stunning.. what an amazing trip already and to have your family there too was memories for a lifetime..
Beautiful I am very glad to see no oil spills at that location YET. Best thing that could happen to a drone! California is leading the way with legislation to make drone pilots accountable for any and all their actions.
+im2crafty Our friends took us out and we paid for the fuel. We do provide more info in the article on our site: www.gonewiththewynns.com/seward-alaska-fishing-glaciers-whales

I got a lump in my throat watching those whales. Reminded me of how teary-eyed I got when we saw the humpback migration in Australia a few years ago. Great footage!

I like that the number of the episode (on video) has a zero prefix, like you guys might get up to 100 someday. :-)
What a day, 3 for 3!
Way to go!
Happy Trails
If you guys ever come up to Port Townsend, WA in Curiosity or just in general I could take you out to explore the sound.
That would be great!
The videos live on!
Great video, and the scenery is really calling me to visit!
Perhaps YOUR next visit is by boat!
Hey, that's where Chris and G lives!! But they are on the RV road again heading south.

Gotta make it to Alaska
That's heartbreaking when you lose your drone! Other than that this video was awesome I love Alaska!!!!!
Great video, guys! I want to go there soooo bad! And by the way, your mom looks great! ;)
Wow. Looks like you had a great day. The whale must have been really impressive!
Hi guys. Great adventures! Thanks for the travel inspiration. Pavel dude :)
great adventure . love Alaska
This was the best video , Thanks!
Beautiful video. Where's the glacier walking segment? Perhaps the boat's hull wouldn't like it too much.
Wow, that are very small Halibut. Still great eating. A big one, 40plus pounds is a fight. In 1972 we had one that was 80lbs. and it almost tore the transom out of our boat before we shot it.
Nice fishing. Sorry about the drone. Good vid.
That was a great excursion and as always Good Job, now who is going to help the captain replace the DJI Phantom?

Around $2,000 poor Ben. Is he still alive? That was a fantastic video! Thanks so much!

Do you guys use all the fish for food? Great video!
+Alex McDougall yep, we eat it all, but we split for the entire boat.

These trips aren’t cheap. He’s fine.
Awesome!
Yay for the Vegan! Good sport

Классная рыбалка!
Whale's breaching must be awesome in real life.
Losing the drone was making me cringe.
do you hope to take curiosity up there?
RIP drone
Are you still up in Alaska now?
+Debbie Snowden We're in the CA redwoods. you can always find our location at the bottom of any of our website pages www.gonewiththewynns.com
Beautiful I am very glad to see no oil spills at that location YET. Best thing that could happen to a drone! California is leading the way with legislation to make drone pilots accountable for any and all their actions.
What charter company was that?
I feel like that is too much fish caught although i'm guessing there's plenty to go around in that area?
+Jay 1 the limit is 2 halibut per person per day
The lesson is "Don't buy crappy drones".
looks like me in the pool
+Lawrence Constantine hahaha. Nice.
isn't our home a wonderful place
+vickie mears 100% beauty!
was that one of those 300 dollar drones that went in the drink?
too bad he didn't have a float on the drone
Don't fly a drone over water unless you want to loose it. The drones can't sense the water level very well.
I wanna go so bad
hey its his and hers lol,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
ouch... losing a drone just set them back several trips with tourists on a boat.
More often videos
More videos with your sister in them....
Oh yes sorry bout your drone that sucks ...
$.. for the day ?
+im2crafty Our friends took us out and we paid for the fuel. We do provide more info in the article on our site: www.gonewiththewynns.com/seward-alaska-fishing-glaciers-whales
😁😄😃🤠
Poor vegan lady had to witness the massacre of those fish.
first
Beautiful video. Where's the glacier walking segment? Perhaps the boat's hull wouldn't like it too much.
+aguyandhiscomputer haha, yep probably not too good to bring the boat to the face of the glacier :)
