    Just a heads up this effect only works with the Classic 3d Render not Cinema 4d. If when you hit the collapse transformation button your stroke disappears, try changing the 3d renderer to "Classic Renderer" in Comp Settings

    If you're trying to make a solid cube with this technique, I used the fill effect instead of the stroke effect, and don't forget you will need to make a top and a bottom face for your solid cube ;)

    Hey guys, how at 1:55 the line of the first square becomes visible ?
    For me even if I checked the "snap" box, it is not as easy to move and precisely snap the faces because the anchor points of the unselected faces do not light up. Thanks !!

    • @eliasmillerart
      @eliasmillerart ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey @pierrick photo I had the same issue with the snapping function, so instead I went into the transform tab and made sure the anchor and position points were all accurate to a 300x300px cube. Hope this helps! :)

      I have the same problem. I use the Pan Behind tool, and the anchor snaps, but the rectangle shape doesn't move with it. If I don't use the Pan Behind tool, I cannot snap to anything. Tried ctrl. No luck either. EDIT: I eventually resolved it using an alternate method, which is just moving the anchor point to the other side and rotating another 90 degrees, and doing that again for the 3rd and 4th squares. Still leads to the same end result.

    I'd like to put a cartoon face on each side of a cube. Is it possible to have a comp's scale parameter linked to the smaller of two scale values so the comp is always proportionally accurate but can still scale with the cube?
    I figure that I need to link a comp's scale to some expression that says "choose the smaller of Layer-Q's X and Y values to drive this layer's scale" but I don't know how to write that in expressions. I really need to find a good course on AE, especially focusing on expressions
