Gibson Cs my favourite , second to my ears and very close the Vintage v120 (im not surprised at all because Vintage is one of my most beloved guitar brand 😃👍) , surely you can play good music and enjoy with any of these 4 guitars . As always great video and work ,thanks 😎👏👏
Thanks for checking it out, Pete. Yeah, I agree, there are differences in sound but not as much as the prices would indicate. I think all of these guitars would do well for the budget that anyone has. Having owned and played all of these I can genuinely say that the Custom Shop guitar does play the best. Biggest bargain is the Vintage. It’s a great guitar for not a lot of money.
The Custom definitely sounds better as you would hope and expect. It has more resonance and depth of tone. I picked this guitar out correctly in every instance as I did the Harley Benton which sounded a bit thin, though honestly, not bad for the price tag. I actually had trouble distinguising between the Vintage 120 and the standard Gibson.
Dunsy , excellent video and thank you for taking the time to make it👍 Clean 1 & 4 stood out. Classic Rock ,Nothing in it. In the mix, No difference. Lead , No difference. Metal, The Harley Benton Stood out. I was watching and listening on my bedroom big screen and will have a listen through my system tomorrow and see if my list changes 👍
Amazing comparison you made, Dunsy. One of the better movies of its kind I've seen on YT. To me, all guitars sound great in your hands. I like Gibson of course, but they're all great. Cheers Bro!
Great t shirt again. Thanks for the support. I really appreciate it mate. Great video i always prefer the Budget guitar as I dont believe you need to pay for a Gibson logo to get that sound.
Always happy to help, Johnny - yeah, 100% that you can get a good sound from any budget of guitar. It's as much the player as anything else. My most gigged guitars of the last decade are a couple of Squier Telecasters.
Vintage seems to excel in all clips to my ears!😃 The metal at end could arguably be anything ,which probably says a lot about gain and volume canceling out any pickup nuances for majority of axes in context of songs!👏😲 Party on dude!
Yeah, the Vintage is really good value for money. Plays and sounds great. I got it used for £175, so it's even better at that! Agree re the tons of gain sound. I could probably have played a Tele and they would all have sounded the same.
Great shoot out !! These blind tests show that I prefer the vintage v120 sounds clean and distorted ... transparant clean and for me nice rich rock sounds also for lead , second is the Gibson lp junior ... I less like the Harley Benton , weak and less character, thin sound ... but this is a very personal choice and preference , it shows that cheap guitar brands like vintage can beat the big names in the custom shop prize range.... going to buy another Vintage !! 🤘
I saw a vintage double cut in red being sold for £100 about 3 years ago. And I an kicking my self for not buying it. The vintage brand guitars are really good quality and excellent value for the money.
Nicely done Dunsy! Like with The Guitaristas SG comparison, where to my ears the Gibson sounded more sophisticated, the Custom Shop has the edge for me - on the classic rock setting it has more clarity and brightness at the top end and contrasting distortion and heaviness at the bottom. And the sustain is incredible …
Cheers Derek, much appreciated. Took me ages to get this one done! As the guitars go the CS is definitely the best of the bunch to play. It will be interesting to play them all through a roaring Marshall and see what the result is in a big room in battle conditions.
The Vintage brand sounded very close to the 2019 Gibson. Not bad if that's the guitar you're trying to be a copy of. They all sounded great. I liked the voice of the Vintage brand just a little more then the Harley Benton. That one sounded a wee bit compressed and nasally, but it still is a decent guitar for the price. Swapping pickups or pots and caps would be an easy fix to make any of them to be what you want.
Cheers David - yeah, I was totally impressed with the Vintage. Wouldn't change anything on it. The Harley Benton, for me anyways, would benefit from a upgraded pickup.
Wow the hb surprised me, it competed with the custom shop in all categories, gibson wasn't bad and vintage was horrible at least for my taste, thanks for this review!
Great informative presentation. In your opinion, what is the best acoustic guitar within reasonable price tag.($1000 - $2000sh) I have Washburn '85 Woodstock model, but after some repairs on nut and strut adjusting it lost its sweetness in sound quality. I'm onlook for new guitar. Which would you suggest, based on my style and vocal? (klick on logo "AS" to check it). Full support to your channel + 👍.
Thanks for checking it out. I'm afraid I know very little about acoustic guitars - I only own one and I've had it for 30 years. Sorry I can't be of more help.
I don't think so Ian - the CS one has "P90 Dog Ear Reissue" - but the 2019 doesn't. You would hope for the difference in costs they would upgrade the pickup. I should really measure the output of each of them.
Great Video Dunsy! you know what, I gotta tell you that I am quite impressed with the Vintage guitar, it sounds pretty killer, how does it feel compared to the others?
I bet if you would have put a shim under the HB p 90, it would have had even more punch. My HB was 7 mm,s from the bottom of the low E string, so I bought a shim, I’m fixing to put on it.
Yeah, I agree - I think that would help. I also have a Bare Knuckle Supermassive that I’m going to try in each of them. That said, I’m really impressed with the sound of the Vintage already, so it will be interesting to see how it sounds with what many would consider a better pickup - might not be better in it at all!
I think if the HB pup was 1/16 from the strings you might not need to replace! That said I’ve always replaced stock pups except for my Les Paul Standard, no need to upgrade. But I can’t believe how good the Roswell sounds 7mm,s away from the string! I’m impressed!
cool and fun video! When we were kids cheap instruments were barely playable. They wouldn't intonate right and there would be fret buzz if the strings weren't a half inch off the neck 🤣. It amazes me that cheap guitars are actually guitars these days. Probably because of computer routing and stuff. Still, you can really hear the difference when they are side by side like this. I recall puzzling over tone wood some years ago and then in occurred to me that I'm just gonna plug it through a bunch of noisy effects into a noisy amp 🤣. I think I liked the custom shop one best in this video... but I'll likely keep with my Mexican strat 🤣
To me the harley benton had quite more sharpness to its tonality. It seem, to my ears, the vintage v120 and the Gibson custom shop sounded almost identical. The Gibson standard junior did not stand out at all.
Not sure about the Gibson Jr - I've heard other folks say that the P90 in the 2019 ones were a bit under-powered. It sounded great on the video I did about that guitar, but not so great here.
It's crazy but they all sounded good. The only one that stood out was the Harley Benton. It could use a better pickup. But I think that's true of HBs in general.
Great shoot out Dunsy, they all sounded awesome man 😀🤘🎵🔥🔥🔥
Thank ya Adam!
Love that Vintage guitar! Awesome, Cheers Dunsy!!
A bargain, I'll say that! Plays and sounds great.
We really anjoyed your performance my good friend!! You entertained us always!! Full watched with Dad!! Love lots Kyle!! 🥁🇵🇭
Thank you Kyle - sorry to take so long to reply. I hope you and your family have a great weekend.
Great video. Have to say I think the Custom Shop sounded the best. But...they all sounded really good. Much closer than I would have thought.

Wow, great comparison job. Nice guitars my friend.
Cheers Ben - aye, it took me some time to put this one together, I'll say that!

The Vintage is amazing. The winner.

Ah, thanks my friend - always appreciate your support.
As always a wonderful performance. Best regards. Metalo
Thanks a lot! Appreciate you checking it out.
Perfect shoot out! They all look and sound great to me. The Gibson custom shop is a real looker.
Best value here is probably the Vintage… I think that price point is often the best bang for the buck.
100% that - I am genuinely impressed with how well it plays and how good it sounds. I bought it used for £175, so it's ever better at that!
Wow!!!! Great share!!!! But you make them all sound great!!!!🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Cheers Mark, appreciate you checking it out, Sir.
Great video Dunsy mate ✌️👍
Cheers Andy!
Excellent my friend!!! Have a. blessed weekend!
Thank you! You too!
Enjoyed listening, Dunsy! Nice tone and crisp sound there! 👍🎶🎸🎶👍Take care! \|/

Clean sounds progression is Cheap Trick's "Come On, Come On", yeah? 👍 The Harley Benton sounds weak to my ear. The other 3 sound great!
Most definitely like "Come On, Come On", well spotted! Yeah, I think the HB would be improved with a better pickup.
Vintage seems to excel in all clips to my ears!😃 The metal at end could arguably be anything ,which probably says a lot about gain and volume canceling out any pickup nuances for majority of axes in context of songs!👏😲 Party on dude!
Agree.

I like the vintage best
they are all great🎸👈 all the sounds I have heard have something beautiful👍
Thanks Fabio, best wishes from Scotland. Have a great week.
Oh shit, I've chosen the Gibson Custom Shop in the first three blind tests
Easily done, my friend.
Great shoot out !! I was genuinely super impressed by how good that Vintage is both in terms of sound and playability. Definitely keeps up with more expensive brands.
@@DunsysGuitarWorld But isn't the Vintage not a real P90? I heard it was a stacked p90. So in comparison???
@@yvandewever6518 hi, yeah the Vintage has a traditional P90, not stacked.
Awesome Harley Benton
Thank ya Deedee, much appreciated.
Fabulous indeed
Thank you Abdul, much appreciated.

From this shootout I would say that the Vintage was the best band for the $/£ - really nice guitar. Easy to play and sounds great.

The Vintage sounds best overall, IMHO.
Value for money with the Vintage is unbelievable - plays and sounds great. The fact I got it used for £175 is even better.
Wow the hb surprised me, it competed with the custom shop in all categories, gibson wasn't bad and vintage was horrible at least for my taste, thanks for this review!

Clean the custom shop wins hands down ..
Hey Dunsy, do the 2 Gibsons have the same P90?
I don't think so Ian - the CS one has "P90 Dog Ear Reissue" - but the 2019 doesn't. You would hope for the difference in costs they would upgrade the pickup. I should really measure the output of each of them.
The Vintage. Hands down.
Vintage guitar vintage player, lol!
Great Video Dunsy! you know what, I gotta tell you that I am quite impressed with the Vintage guitar, it sounds pretty killer, how does it feel compared to the others?
Out of these guitars it's the best value in terms of sounds and playability - first one I've ever tried and I was really impressed.
@@DunsysGuitarWorld Cool, I have seen them at a small shop here in Montreal but I never picked them up to try, I might next time. Rock on!

100% true Daniel! I remember just how bad my first electric guitar was. In fact my first acoustic was even harder to play!
To me the harley benton had quite more sharpness to its tonality. It seem, to my ears, the vintage v120 and the Gibson custom shop sounded almost identical. The Gibson standard junior did not stand out at all.
Yeah, I wasn't too impressed by the sounds of the standard model, just seemed to lack something. The Vintage to me was the best value of the bunch.
Is the Gibson Junior a BIT boring clean? Matter of taste ye, but Vintage is clear winner for me thou, Gibson CS is pretty cool ^_^
Not sure about the Gibson Jr - I've heard other folks say that the P90 in the 2019 ones were a bit under-powered. It sounded great on the video I did about that guitar, but not so great here.

Yeah, I think it's a bit underpowered - as is the 2019 Gibson. Going to try a Bare Knuckle in each of those.
Not many lefty options I can afford apart from HB, vintage dont make that lefty.😢
It's a real shame that more companies don't offer l/h options.
