To think that all of the Beatle's music was original back in the '60s is mind-boggling. What was it that moved them from 50's pop music into timeless masterpieces?
Actually, this is no simple song. Perhaps the chord arrangementt, but this song is all about the feel. The nuances, as well as the attention paid to replicating both the song and and its tonality, is a formidable accomplishment in itself.
One of Lennon's finest, finest, finest moments. Done so very nicely by The Analogues, with special attention paid not only to the vocals, but to the instrumentation, from the choice of notes and chord voicings, to the effects. The Les Paul sounds insanely beautiful when the verse lyrics begin. The Leslie is perhaps the most unearthly and gorgeous-sounding effect ever used on a guitar. Where would songs like this, "Do You Feel Like We Do," "No Matter What," and every single thing recorded by Mike Allsup of Three Dog Night, be without the Leslie? It's moving air, and though many have come close, (my DLS Roto-Sim) I doubt there will ever be a pedal that can truly replicate that sound, complete with the motion of music in the air, the dirt of analog, and that beautiful resonance.
It's a testament to their professionalism that they wouldn't settle for anything than utter perfection in redoing the Beatles catalog. I don't even think the Beatles would have been able to recreate their albums any better!
There was a mistake in the one hundred forty third part of the second beat of the 14th measure - the level of volume there was not like in the original Beatles record.
Very well done! One tiny stickling point that I've now been carrying with me for about 20 years now. In the line "Here comes the Sun KIng". I hear SO many cover bands play a Gm7 over "sun". Trouble is, NO Bb not is ever played or sung anywhere on this chord. I really don't hear a B not played either, but if you play just a G7 it sounds alright but when I hear that Bb note played anywhere, I hear fingernails on the blackboard! All the first Beatles' music books had it at G7, but ever since that big fat hard-cover Hal Leonard Beatles book has come out, all I hear now is a Gm7 played there, and that's because that Hal Leonard book has it as a Gm7. And. It's. Wrong
Ok but you haven't specified which line - there are three times this line is sung. The first two times I do hear a minor, but the third and last time, yes, it's a G7. I guess it's the last line you meant that people get wrong, by persisting with the Gm7!
Great job on this, However, it does sounds a bit weird when I can't listen to Mean Mr Mustard afterwards.
No doubt
You can search up Mr Mustard while you watch this and then queue it for when this video is video it will player right after
Everybody's laughing
Everybody's happy
鈴虫も
The crickets too and DB Cooper

These 'simple' songs are the hardest. Again a very good performance!

Better to let it be
The sound is absolutely perfect, as are the vocals. A phenomenal performance from the best Beatles band by a million miles!
Like modern symphonies playing Mozart, "The Analogues" master classical rock.

Surely there's a minor in there though?!
@@davecostello560 I just explained WHY that's NOT a Gm chord!!!
