However the screen had a mind of its own and I couldn't use it. I had to Speedrun this tutorial so that my ghost touch didn't click me out of the window lol. Now I can use it! Thanks!

Bro thanks!!!! I use my laptop for work everyday and I dropped it recently and cracked the screen. Since its touchscreen, the whole laptop was bugging out because of the cracks. No more touchscreen, no more bugging 😎
Worked for me. My chromebook is still having ghost touches but at least turning the touchscreen off makes it usable. In my case it doesn't give a prompt that touchscreen has been toggled on or off but it toggles nonetheless, so thanks a ton!

My Windows laptop just has a shift + touchpad/screen button combo that does this. No need for websites and restarting. Why does this have to be such a pain on a Chromebook?

Hey so this didnt work for me i followed all the steps i reset my chromebook and factory reset it o is it just that my computer doesnt have touchscreen and the computer i have is 103.0.5060.132 64 bit
Nothing comes up on my screen to say whether or not it worked. What you have to do is after the Search Shift and T buttons then touch your touchscreen and you will see that it turns off. Keep doing that until it works.
Agreed with not working on Chromebook Acer 315 which is alright with me and also learned how to navigate my way there however even tho most of not all answers to query bring up that this laptop model has a touch screen. Thanks man for the info video much appreciation
It didn't work for me after restarting for some reason I did press shift the lanucher button and T but it didn't say anything about touch screen and i taped and it did nothing i don't know is it the chromebook that does that I have a samsung chromebook but it didn't turn on
bought a samsung galaxy 2 16 128 used it two times and the touchscreen isnt working did exactly what you said and nothing. soooooooo disappointed. Should i return or do a hard reset. You need to specify which chrome book brand you need. Ex. HP, Dell, Skinit etc. cause it doesn’t work on HP
