    The number one reason for consolidation is being able to weight bear and walk. It's counterintuitive to use a nail, like precice, which strictly prevents that.

    • @youtubecommentsguy9805

      Paley said the results and recovery is the same.

      @M16xDr0pSh0tz 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@youtubecommentsguy9805 Of course he said that, this is his business. The fact is that you have a greater chance for non-union with Precice nails and they're much more meticulous to work with than stryde.
      Also, I'd recommend reading patient diaries on the limb lengthening forum. Stryde recoveries are night and day better than precise and you'll be lucky to find patients who lengthen 8 cm in femurs using precice without some form of complications. For example, 'programdude' broke his femur, 'doingitforme' had non-union, others had life-threatening embolisms (not necessarily due to the nail, but they were precice patients).
      It's easy to say that the only difference is weight-bearing, and that is true. It's also the most significant part of the entire limb lengthening process.

    Do you think they'd allow a surgery to go ahead if one were to agree to pay extra for the nail and sign a contract to say that if there's any problems in regards to corrosion, NuVasive aren't to blame? Also, it seems as though those who do the lengthening process correctly can get the nails out 8 or 9 months after surgery, so I'd be more than willing to aim for that as well. Hey Victor I want your honest opinion please. I have the possibility to do it this summer (this summer only for a long time, unfortunately). So for me waiting for stryde is no option. I can now either choose Dr Paley and do it with precice (would be wheelchair for a long time) or travel to Germany and do it with Betzbone (weight bearing but has a lot of disadvantages as well).
