I love how Kaiba is basically a Drawfee character at this point. I don’t even watch Yu-Gi-Oh! but when I got the notification for this video I got so excited. It always makes me happy to hear Karina talk about her interests

J P ok I respect your opinion but when you compare the 2 the anime’s just trash like the manga has an underlying sense of horror and the characters actually get development the anime just seems like a marketing ploy to trick children into spending all there money do you get what I’m saying?
@@rocketglamryre4101 yea, I understand what you're saying and I believe the anime is more geared towards selling their toy products as well. I agree with you though, the manga is much more intense and plot written, but I suppose depending on the viewer, they may also find the anime entertaining :)

I just wanna recognize how Nathan always imitates other people's styles PERFECTLY. Like in both the Sonic OC and Fursona videos, he perfectly encapsulates the overall styles of both those communities. I just love him UwU

I was explaining this to my brother who is kinda a Drawfee casual. But, that's exactly how I put it: one of Nathan's biggest strengths as an artist is his adaptability.
This is so true, but I will say that he had problems trying to imitate Julia's style on a couple of occasions.

@@Annette1278 the earth isn't really a circle though. In reality it's actually lumpy and bumpy like a potato.
@@PleasantLeech not exactly. The earth is an oblate spheroid in its general shape. The lumps and bumps amount to pretty minor surface imperfections if you scale it down to the size of a potato. Not as smooth as a billiard ball, that's a misunderstanding of the official tolerances on league-sanctioned billiards balls, but still pretty smooth overall.

You KNOW you've made it as an indie artist when Drawfee picks your style to imitate.
What’s weird is that Drawfee has more subscribers than Worthi, but his videos get way more views. Like their most popular video (Disney as Dark Souls) has 3.8 million, and his most popular (Palpatines Journey) has 11 million. Not a value judgement, I love both, just a weird thing I noticed.
@@joeyfromschool I reckon it might be that his videos are generally very short and memeable so have more 'viral' potential and get shared a lot, so they get boosted in the algorithm and get more random viewers who aren't necessarily invested in the channel. Whereas Drawfee have very consistent, produced, longform content, so they've built up a loyal fanbase over time, but are less likely to be shared on social media to random people.
I know Karina tried to keep it light-hearted but it’s very touching hearing her divulge some of her genuine feelings regarding her interests. Actually made me a bit teary.
I've always loved Karina's style, but she really do be flexin' lately.
Karina does her "Haha, look at me all young and irreverent about everything. Don't really care" act and then immediately drops a shit ton of skill out of her pockets while looking for change. "Oops, where did that come from? Was that me?"
Anyway, she's straight up awesome.

Her whole, "I'm baby" act has really been a ploy to destroy us with amazing art and totally dominate the channel! It's like a cat who presents it belly to you only to lower your defenses and destroy your trust when you are at your most vunerable! And I for one have fallen for it!
I loved hearing Karina talk so much about a character she loves so much. Could you guys maybe do ones for the other three? Where they pick their favourite character/a character that means a lot to them and everyone draws them. Idk, I think it would be lovely for everyone to get a chance to create a love-letter of sorts to a character.

in all seriousness though these all look *amazing,* holy cow. nathan's hyper expressive thin-line drawing, jacob somehow (unintentionally) blending TWEWY and demon slayer and making it look _wonderful_ (only regret: no wildly stylized - i guess Kaiba would have blue fire? - in the background), Karina deciding she needs everyone to have _feels__ and going the extra mile for the background objects, and julia just-- julia. my god. i can only hope she's gotten that nap. and her poor hands aren't quite so sore anymore.
Except for the berserk style. That was terrible. Head was disproportionate and so were his arms and his body didn’t make any sense with the angle in conjunction with the angle the arms were shown at
As someone who uses a G pen and draws in berserk’s style naturally and am a huge fan of it, you simply can’t replicate that style forcefully. Even I fail when I actively try to copy the style. Just doesn’t work
@@znightowlz6585 I don't see any problems with the angle of the arms in reference to the body, she even drew Kaiba right side up first, then just tilted it at an angle. Aside from that, it's not like she's trying to make an exact match to the Berserk art style, it's just suppose to be a fan rendition. Kind of like how a song cover never matches the original, since it has the artists personal flair mixed. With that in mind, if I saw the final outcome, without context, I'd know it's referencing Berserk.
@@znightowlz6585 Comments like this are unfortunately exactly why these artists are so insecure and anxious about their work. Seven and a half hours of hard work in an unfamiliar style for this.
Yeah the proportions are a tad off. But so much effort was put into this in an already stressful and taxing period of time for "That was terrible."
@@Gabriel_Oliver Right? like, there are ways of criticizing art pieces while also acknowledging and respecting the time and effort that went into them -- and the artists themselves. I really can't stand it when people gatekeep art; that kinda attitude is the exact opposite of what this channel is trying to foster.
Suggestion: collaborative piece where everyone does one stage of the process. So for example, Karina does initial sketch for the character(s), Jacob does the inking, Nathan does the color and you let Julia just go wild with the background.

I literally gasped in delight when Nathan said he drew Kaiba in worthi’s style. This is the first time I have ever gasped in delight, and honestly it was my first unexpected joy in years. Thanks for bringing that to the table, Drawfee crew, with especially big props to Nathan (and worthi)

I honestly know absolutely nothing about Yu-Gi-Oh, other than what I have learned from Drawfee. But hearing the joy in Karina's voice when she talks about Kaiba makes me SO HAPPY. Karina, you make me care about Kaiba.
Honestly, Duel Monsters (The original series) Is a treat to watch. I never watched it as a child, but it was recommended to me by a friend and for a semi 90's Anime, I like it a lot. Though everyone has a different interest.

Basically, Seto Kaiba is a massive geek with daddy issues, trying hard to pretend that he's Albert Wesker, and the money to pull it off halfway convincingly.
Go watch it dude. It's a classic anime from the 2k's.
He is such a fun, sad, complex, hilarious, genuis, jerk character and I would recommend watching either the subbed or dubbed (even though I can't stand the voice acting of the latter) version just for him. I've had a genuine love for Kaiba and his arc for 15 years

I really love the "new" Drawfee show. Looking at things that you produce with more time on your hands is far more enjoyable than just seeing you scribble around. Thats also funny, but never as good as the last few Projects you have done! Great development.

I love this because in the space of _just this one sentence_ I can immediately tell both that this probably isn't the opinion other people have of kaiba and that I really need to watch this kaiba analysis video because this is totally the same thing I do with characters sometimes
These episodes where everyone gets to centre a drawing around something they really like (like the favourite anime episode last week) are some of my favourites because everyone just gets to gush about stuff they like _while_ showing off incredible art pieces.

@Matheus Moreira, it’s ok! Only real confusion was caused by the word “drawing” being both a noun, and a verb-ending-in-‘ing’. I couldn’t tell which one you were using at first
Karina - after drawing all those chrysanthemums, I can tell you that you now have a topic to bond over with almost any tattoo artist. I see mums in so many tattoos these days...honestly you might be able to get useful tips about drawing flowers from a tattooist if you know any.

I have been suggesting draw Shin Megami Tensei Personas based on Sanrio characters (which is Hello Kitty and all her friends). Maybe I need to word it different. 😅

i've rarely seen anything catering to my tastes as much as kaiba in satoshi kon's artsyle this is a blessing
i kinda wanna see the crew draw houses decorated for obscure holidays. like, talk like a pirate day's a good one, but also i really want to know what leap day decorations look like.
Julia: I was bothered by the limitations of Photoshop, so I taught myself C++ and wrote my own program...
actually, something simillar might make for an intersting challenge - if the Drawfee crew agreed to learn a certain (fairly easy) programming language (like python for example), they could "programme the drawing" where they create the drawing by coding the different lines and so on
We did this with Turing in high school. Definitely a fun idea.

It's a good thing that Jacob went second, if we went from Nathan's funney little man straight to Karina's sorrowful soulful boy the emotional whiplash would have been too much to handle
Well I was going to call out Nathan for that awesome instant-face he opened with, but everyone just hit the ground sprinting. Jacob insta-fused that delightful coat. I blinked and Kaiba just appeared on Karina's page. And then Julia threw my childhood into an existential crisis in five seconds flat.
Did any one else play duelist of the roses when they were younger this video brought back so many memories with the white flowers in Karinas drawing having to collect the rose cards
Karinas drawing actually made me cry. Idk, the whole mood of the drawing with the blue lighting and his kind of blank stare somehow emits just a deep feeling of hopelessness that immediately hit home with me.
I don't know if that's what she was going for but it just made me feel so lost.
It's incredible what art can make you feel.

I literally just commented almost the exact same thing but you've managed to put into words what I felt even better than I did. She makes beautiful art and I'm glad I'm not alone in my enjoyment.
