    Sir I think the electric field lines of the variant source charges with same nature (example positive and positive or negative and negative ) while they are considerably nearer to eachother can intercept eachother unless the emitted field lines through a specific source charges can never intersect each other

    sir for system of a positive and negative charge electric fields lines are drawn incorrectly because from negative charge electric field line do not emerge out. check diagram in ncert book page no. 25 fig(d)

    When we draw electric field lines then there are so many space left empty....is there no any effect of the source charge on the test charge ???
    If there is any effect possible then why we draw in that manner ??
    Is this wrong ??

      You are correct. But try to understand that test charge is always effected by the source charge. So there should be a line of force. But if we all the lines the figure get complex & we can't make out this. So we don't draw every line but draw lines which are representative and don't make the picture difficult.
      Actually the lines are infinite. We can't draw infinite lines. Hope you understand.

      Actually field lines also exist in that space, but as this is a diagram we can't draw them, to represent the whole electric field u can also shade that part...OK...it's what I think😇😇

    simpler version of field lines definition need to be rechecked i think it will follow only if lines are straight not in the case of curved lines. baki bhadiya explain kiya hai.

    Sir..according to maxwell..if there is a q charge..it emits q/epsilon numbers of lines of force..if electric petmittivity is epsilon.. it's really too confusing!! Our intuition says..there should be infinite numbers of lines of force as there are infinite points around a charge where we can put the unit +ve charge...plz explain this sir..

    Let suppose if two electric field lines get intersects with each other then why we can't have the direction of electric field by taking resultant of two tangents at particular point? 15:38

      Actually this is what happens.. but we don't show the this intersection in complete diagram of electric field lines..
      The diagram is actually showing net electric field lines of the system..!!

    lets see an experiment-
    😡= positive charge
    🥶= negative charge
    experiments(a)
    🥶
    😡
    🥶
    experiment (b)
    🥶
    😡
    in situation(a), all electric field of 😡 should move to one 🥶. and that gives F force on it due to the interaction of both fields.
    in situation(b), half of electric field of 😡 should move to one of 🥶 . And the distance is same here so the Force due to interaction of Field of both positive and negative charge
    , there would be F/2 force on each 🥶 toward positive charge.
    but that's is wrong force is still same.
    So, interaction of energetic field and enerhgetic field or between energetic field and charge can't give the correct explaination.
