Today on the show, we host Vikram Sampath. He is an Indian popular historian, noted for authoring biographies of Gauhar Jaan and V. D. Savarkar. He is one of the most knowledgeable guests on the show - truly inspiring.
Bangalore-based historian Dr. Vikram Sampath is the author of 8 acclaimed books of history including biographies of Gauhar Jaan & Veer Savarkar & Bravehearts of Bharat on unsung heroes of India.
This video is a breakdown of the Indian Freedom Struggle. The Indian independence movement was a series of historic events with the ultimate aim of ending British rule in India. It lasted from 1857 to 1947. Few leaders followed a more violent approach, than the others. This became especially popular after the Rowlatt Act, which permitted indefinite detention. The Act sparked protests across India, especially in the Punjab province, where they were violently suppressed in the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. The Indian independence movement was in constant ideological evolution.
Lucky are those who are born in this great country.
    Proud to be an Indian

    Happy Republic Day 🇮🇳

Finally the real history of India/Bharath is coming out with a big bang. Now we know how exactly Netaji influenced a lot of British Indian Armed forces and civilians who lead to 1946 Mutiny. As a result BRITISH WERE SCARED TO DEATH and RAN AWAY IN A HURRY FROM INDIA/BHARATH. We said 'Lathonka Bhooth Baathonse Nahi Maantha'. We need more Kshatriya sprits in our people to fight against odds in the current India/Bharath. Jai Hind Jai Karnataka.

Also the communist party of India was the party that rallied hundreds of workers in support of this mutiny, when both Jinnah and Patel both did not want to support this. Somehow, right wing historians conveniently leave out the parts which dont fit their narrrative. I am no fan of the communist party, but thats just the truth.

Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose on the day of the formation of the Azad Hind Government, addressing Gandhi on the Azad Hind Ratio, said: "Bapuji, you might not be believing in violence and we have taken to arms. But basically we are on the same wave-length. You are motivated by the urge for freedom, we too are motivated by the same urge. The struggle that was started after your arrest on 9th August1942 did not remain locked up only in India. That started the freedom struggle far and wide. It touched the hearts and minds of my army men and though they think, I am their leader, in fact you are our leader."

In 1930 12th December, 22 years old boy Babu genu led protest against trade practices of british india. At the time of protest he was standing infront of truck loaded with foreign material and ever after several warning he refused to step away. Eventually he was crushed under the same truck and and died.
This is probably one story out of hundreds of thousands sacrifices which our great freedom fighters did for country yet shamelessly we have been taught in history book that those so called peaceful protest of Gandhi and congress gave us freedom.
That's why we should read our history with genuine source so people will coming generations will understand the sacrifice our freedom fighters and important of the freedom.

Here you are totally one sided ... Britishers were very clever. They wanted India to remain fighting for these things of Who's wrong or right. Even before leaving India they made these statements deliberately so that people like us remain fighting for the credit of Independence.. Independence was not the result of One Man's Efforts but it was a collective efforts of many. Be it Gandhiji Or Subash Chander Bose... No one should be given absolute credit.

I feel it was a kind of a CONSPIRACY where British allowed Gandhi to join India's freedom moment(Later part of freedom moment) and made Gandhi the leader/Hero of India in a very short span of time. And as we know Congress party was created by British, in order to have their political poppets after they run away from India. So, I think the British wanted to use Gandhi's principle of 'Non-Violence'(I call it a coward's principle when you are colonized) to make Indians forget their Kshatriya spirt and they also used Congress party (Left leaning or not being a nationalist party), to control Indians politically, ideologically etc.

33% of British Indian Army was made up of Sikhs who in turn made up less than 1.5% of indian population. Also Gadar, Kamagatmaru movements were mainly ran by Sikhs. Independent India never gave credit to Sikhs but instead chose to reduce there numbers in Indian army which stands at less than 5%. Meanwhile Gandhi/Nehru took all the credit for independence. Main Beneficiary was Nehru Dynasty on backs of millions who suffered. India was not partitioned in 1947 only Punjab and Bengal was partitioned. People (read Muslims) responsible for Partition were majority from UP and now run Pakistan. BTW large portion of NetaJi's army was also made up of Sikhs.
