Clouds are like the one background thing I can draw even semi-competently.
*I'm about to reach a whole new level of cloud supremacy...*

Having it explained to me in this way has made it so much clearer in my head now. I feel like I can approach drawing clouds with a little more confidence now, thank you.

Hey Adam, I loved the tutorial! You have such a good way of explaining stuff, like you don't just start your videos with drawing, you always break it down as a lesson and I love that. A good teacher! Keep doing what you're doing, man! Making the world a more beautiful place to be in.
I don't know if you'd be able to do this with all your other projects on the go, but would you ever consider doing a tutorial on "implied texture"? - you taught this briefly in your architecture tutorial, where a blank space uses a few visual objects like a tile on the roof, and your mind assumes that all the blank space must also be those tiles. I find attempting this technique with textures or objects that are not wood (since wood is just alternating straight lines), I have trouble with it, like for example cobblestone that's being viewed from an angle so that more than one surface of the cobblestone is shown, I can't seem to wrap my head around that, it feels like the implied-texture technique ends up taking way more time to make it look right than if I had just drawn every single tile or stone on the wall, but I'm assuming this technique is meant to save time? If you ever did this, it would be AWESOME since there don't appear to be any tutorials on implied texture, or at least I haven't been able to find any.

I love these so much. I would definitely pay for a more in-depth beginner course if that's something you'd ever do post-release of your game. The foundations of art in general are so wide and I never really know what to work on over the other. It's weird.

    Welcome back to class, teach!
Love your tutorials, I wouldn't have progressed as quickly as I have (still new though) without them.
Is there anyway you could do a tutorial on the full day/night cycle? As in starting one animation in the morning, and showing it transition a full 24 hours.
A second request would be how to transition between biomes without a hard cut (i.e. tunnel). For instance farmland -> bazaar/market -> forest

Adam when you record a pixel art tutorial, how long it takes you, I know you normally do it on stream, but if you know an average it takes you, would be nice to know 😁

I actually record most of my videos off-stream on the weekend. This video was recorded in about an hour, and that would be a shorter session compared to some of my other recent videos which might be 2-3 depending on the content. I started recording this around 2pm. It took the rest of the evening to edit and I uploaded before bed.

Loved the video, as always :)
I wonder, maybe this is too far from what you do, or you won't be interested in it, but I would love to see a tutorial about pixel art on 3D models ? Sounds silly and weird maybe but I'm thinking about minecraft skins and mobs, for example. Would it be different enough from 2D pixel art to justify a video ? I feel like it would, because I find myself having a much harder time making a minecraft skin ; but maybe it's just skill issues, haha

    Hey how's it going?
I want to create a top down pixel art game that has a boy and a dog that is his companion.
I need an animation that the boy and the dog are playing on the sidewalk, and a van appears, where two bandits get out and kidnap the dog, putting it in the trunk of the van..
Can you make a tutorial teaching this set of animations?
It's my dream to make my first game, but I don't have the slightest idea how to make this animation...
I really need your help! Please.
