Suzy!!! Your folios are amazing! I am so inspired. But sometimes I feel left behind. I sure wish you'd do a few step by step accordions one of these days. Actually build one of these, step by step, on camera, so I can follow along and use my Tim Holtz supplies the way you do.

I wish I could express how much I enjoyed this morning’s Tim Holtz show. I’m just getting started in going vintage and shabby. I have bed in bed since Christmas. Now I have shingles. The joy and wonder that I experienced during this show and seeing your makes has really helped me get through this time. This folio and your ideas and creativity have really inspired me and helped me to look forward to when I can sit down in a chair again in my craft room. (I will be doing some shopping online from my bed on my iPad, too. Lol). Things in the world can get us down, I really think people like you help to fight back and refuse to be defeated. Absolutely fabulous Suzy! I have to say that my favorite thing (and I am definitely going to borrow your idea 😉) is the butterfly wing created with a lace or doily piece. Beautiful and such a unique idea!

I'd love to see your next version of the book! I love what you did with this one. I have a couple of questions. Regarding the Paris snapshot, you mentioned a trimmer of some sort, to give it a vintage look. I don't have the volume on, just subtitles, so maybe it did not translate. What were you referring to? Also, the mini Paper Dolls: How much smaller are they than the regular ones? I have tons of the Dolls, and some are really tiny, like thumb-sized. Then, some are really quite tall, like 5"! Thanks so much!
Thank you and sure, no problem…I used Tim’s Deckle Paper Trimmer for the photo. The Paper Dolls now come in Solos, Groups and newest are Paper Dolls Minis…range 2.25 - 2.75 inches x 1.5 - 2.5 inches. Solos and Groups are larger. Hope that helps.

Hello finely getting around to making this folio! QUESTION: It looks like the tab on the right that is in mine is not on yours? Or have you cut if off? Glued it under the picture? Also did you only sew a few inches down to make the center back pocket? Did you sew through all the papers including the the cover? I am VERY NEW TO JJ’S SO PLEASE FORGIVE THE QUESTIONS. I have LOVED THIS FOLIO FOREVER!!! Do you ever do a HOW TO TH-cam VIDEO? I WOULD LOVE THAT. THANK YOU for sharing your gift of talent through JJ’s. Londi
Yes, right flap is cut off. I probably glued the pocket on and then reinforced with some stitching. Doesn’t really matter whether you sew or glue though. Thanks for your kind words! Have fun making!

Sure, it says 6” x 4.5” on the package. I can’t give you anymore than that because I don’t have it back yet. Thank you!
I thought of another question! When you said you sewed the middle, lift-out section shut to make a mini book with pockets--could you please explain a bit more how you did that? I will probably be using glue or tape and not a sewing machine. Is it possible to do it another way? (I'm not great at visualizing techniques sometimes) Many thanks!
Sure, you can glue or tape no problem. in fact it’s probably easier to do it that way. basically I connected all the pages on the left or spine side. The fabric on the spine is decorative only….glued on. Hope this helps.
