    I'd say the production crew did an awesome job.
    I've been on the track with him and not only is the guy fast as hell but he has incredible bike control.

    should have put a titatnium slider on the helmet for some awesome spark effect

    Wow. Impressive. I’ve accidentally done that a few times, but my helmet, leathers, and bike take a beating and it usually ends my track day. Not sure my leathers will stand up to 100mph encounters with those prickly pear cactus, either. Great footage. Kinda defines what is possible

    Btw he is helmet dragging through turn 5 at Inde Motorsports which happens to make this all the more impressive. If you know about cornering then lemme break this down.
    This turn is an uphill, blind, severely off-camber, decreasing radius, corner (That I have crashed in personally just trying to navigate too quickly.) SO even the slightest attempt to trail brake will end most riders in a quick lowside off into the dirt.
    Dustin, is a legend amongst those of us who knew him.

    Well you win sir.. there is no higher level.. dragging the old noggin is about as creative and high level difficult as it gets. The only next level would be to somehow do that same thing but sitting backwards. You're a legend BRO
    .simple as that.. congrats.. some people can't even ride a single speed mini bike with no clutch or gears of any kind. Both my old buddy from high school and my sister and this other girl I knew all ran my mini Baja off road.. without meaning to mind you.. riding through my neighborhood. 😁

    What's the POINT ?? How can someone who's watching this video to BEGIN WITH , seriously ask that question ?
    what's the point about going round & round on a racetrack ? What's the point of spending 6 months to pick up up 6/10th ? What's the sense of going to a trackday if you're not 16 training to be a future pro moto racer ?
    Because it's cool and fun and you & I can't do it ( the head part.....I can do all the rest ) . I have been DYING to see this fellow follow-up his Chuckwalla or wherever first Ghillie vid. I ( from NY ) flew out to ride INDE for two days and the guys at Avis in Phoenix were all-about Apgar. But in fact...he does need a Ti-Sparky slider up there:) !

    What happened to Dustin? I live right by his shop and he worked on my Ducati. He even met me out to look at a few bikes I was interested in buying.Then his shop just closed. I heard he had some type of accident and lost a couple toes.

    I guess because I'm not into dragging knee, I don't understand... What is the point in doing this? Does laying your head on the pavement change the balance of the bike in a tight corner so you can hold it on the revs more?

    • @dodzb7362
      @dodzb7362 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      leaning-in or knee dragging keeps your motorcycle more upright on corners than you. There is no friction on wheel rims.
      Imagine you are riding on a pogo stick with wheels, pogo stick is not at parallel to your body.
