Very surprised that the judge didn't pepper his remarks with "so-called". For example, describing these people as "sheriffs" working for a "court" really isn't accurate.
So... they set up a non state court called themselves judge and sherriffs, had cars and hi vi's kit marked with their own 'authority stamps" , designed their own laws including the death sentence and corporal punishment , targeted a coroner (why we are not told) , sent malicious communications to him which he forwarded to council and police who did nothing turned up at coroners office looking for coroner who wasn't there , restrained a security guard , attempted to make a citizens arrest (viewed here as kidnap) threatened to turn up at coroners staff homes (causing them distress), and then presumably were arrested and charged . So they were activists which assumed their legal powers after? investigating a coroner and apparently his ' business' transactions . A coroners office investigates the circumstances of deaths , so what exactly are they accusing him of and , they're getting prison sentences for attempted kidnap and false imprisonment while trying as a group to exercise the power of citizens arrest . Quite interesting actually though the judge takes a grim view of them trying to circumvent crown justice .
It's sovereign citizen/freemen on the land nonsense. They don't recognise the legal authority of whatever country they're in and generally want to establish a new state based on religion and rules for thee but not for me "libertarianism".
They targeted the coroner because they believed he was a necromancer. They believed they were making some sort of citizen's arrest but they weren't: they had no lawful reason to detain anyone so it was straight-up kidnap.

The £228 is a statutory surcharge applied to almost all people convicted of crimes. It's not a punishment but is used to pay for services that support victims of crime. The punishment is being sent to prison for seven years in the case of the leader and 2.5 years for the others.
Pseudolegal, anti-government conspiracy theorists seems to be the more explicit terminology.
