At less than $250 (with current $100 rebate), it's a great buy for an extra concealable gun that can serve in many roles. Good backup gun for car, truck or just running to the store down the street. Handy, reliable and low maintenance, imo.

I put 30, maybe 40 rounds through mine and the trigger is already wanting to lock up, doesn’t actually fire every time I pull the trigger…. But I agree it’s a cheap carry but to me not worth it and cannot rely on it. Traded it in yesterday

The Beretta nano, the first gen APX Carry and this one are all double action triggers. Beretta has been very forthcoming as to why that is. They feel like it’s an added safety feature if you were going to carry this gun in the appendix or in your pocket, helps mitigate accidental discharges. Personally, I don’t have an issue with it.

@@roweshowtactical traditionally a double action only trigger both pulls back and releases the hammer hitting the firing pin and hopefully the round will go off there are triggers like this one as well as the kahr and Taurus G2/g3c just as some examples of a double action "like" trigger in the sense that pulling the trigger finishes pulling the partially cocked striker the rest of the way before releasing it and firing I'm not for certain if that's how the Taurus works that way but I have shot one and it did feel as if that was the case I do agree with you this trigger is safe considering it's a carry pistol but everything above is what I believe Mr Bill was trying to get at

The modularity is helpful if the number of pistols we can own becomes limited. It’s highly unlikely any external damage - drop damage, squib - will reach inside and ruin the trigger model. So the legal part of the gun can move over to a replacement slide and lower.

I've got the same trigger issue on mine. I sent it in and asked them to fix it. Prior to release they said one of the updates that made this an A1 was an improved trigger - you can't say that and then have a crap trigger. Also, both my front and rear sites were loose on arrival - I can tighten them but I don't know if they're true now so I asked for that to be fixed as well. We shall see what happens.
Size wise, it's identical to my Walther PPS which I carry everyday and I can even use the same holsters for both. The single stack doesn't bother me and I'm hoping to add the red dot later on.

I'm super excited to actually handle one! I'm a huge fan of the Beretta Nano and have carried one for years. Mine has been 100% reliable with everything I've tried in it (although in practical terms I shoot 147gr American Eagle at the range and 147gr HST for carry). The Nano trigger is somewhat heavy but short and relatively crisp. The thing that's easy to miss is just how narrow/thin it is! The mighty-might guns (15 rounds in an SK format) are nice but they're still much thicker across the slide and handle vs the Beretta. I can conceal the Nano IWB in a tank top, there's no comparison to how much better is conceals vs something like a Hellcat or P365. You do lose some capacity but I carry mine 8+1, short of a Hellcat or Glock but almost twice the capacity of my next smallest gun, a Ruger LCRx.
If this is basically a Nano with the addition of an optic cut I'm there for it!

Beretta is currently offering a great deal on their newest generation micro compact 9mm single stack pistol.
What I like about it is it starts at a bargain price if you shop around at around $250 with $100 rebate for a gun that some are selling for $400 retail.
If you register the A1, Beretta will send you a free optics ready mounting plate with free shipping.
It is a quality made pistol in Beretta's APX series that includes a hammer forged barrel, modular chassis, different color frame options, captive recoil spring, trigger safety, optics ready, two magazines with one extension normally found on name brand manufacturers.
What I don't like about it is the trigger. Although I like the trigger safety, I don't like the trigger blade with a thin trigger that is a little difficult and uncomfortable to break all the way back and the reset could be shorter, lighter and easier since it has a trigger safety.
I also experienced difficulty during the break in period with the trigger not breaking all the way back a few times.
The blade of the trigger combined with the weight of the trigger not being easy to break all the way back did cause some trigger finger discomfort never experienced with the PPS that has a wider, smoother, lighter, shorter, better trigger.
Although I prefer the PPS, I would purchase the A1 again as it is great deal for a name brand with quality features.
The A1 is about 0.1 inch wider, one ounce heavier and quarter of an inch shorter than than the PPS.
Both have hammer forged barrels, but PPS is polygonal rifling and slightly longer and A1 is lands and groves. Polygonal is slightly better.
I don't like the aggressive front and rear grip stippling out of the cardboard box, but it improves the retention of a rubber grip sleeve that I prefer to use for better grip as my hands tend to sweat during the summer.
I prefer the eight round magazine extension more than the six round as it fits my hand great and should be enough rounds for the average self defense scenario of 3 rounds at 3 yards in 3 seconds.
I carry two spare magazines just in case.
Overall, it is a good pistol and a good deal.
If you are considering buying one, I recommend going to your gun store and checking it out and if you like it enough, buy it before the offer ends.
Be educated, Be prepared. Be focused. Be safe.

Double stack means more weight. I don’t get why some of you think you gotta have 10 or 15 rounds in a carry gun. The chance that you’ll ever even have to use your gun in a self defense situation is rare to none and in that case studies show that up to 90% of incidents no more then 3 rounds are fired. So you wanna be John Wick guys w your 12 rd mag and your 15 rd back up mag just keep on toting that unnecessary $hit around🤦🏻‍♂️

Lots of trains of thought here. 1st, if weight is your primary concern, don't fill the mag. 2nd, it's better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it. You do you, my observation is that you are building and releasing a gun in a world of micro double stacks. Why limit your customers' options when it's easily solvable.

This gun is fraught with issues. A friend bought one over a month ago, had to return it next day. Still no rebate as advertised and more importantly no repair, after calling Big B several times. They can give him no answer. Pitiful.

6 round single stack when the Glock 43X and the Sig 365 exist. WTF Beretta?

WHY is everyone finding fault with the single stack mags??? NOT EVERYONE wants a double STACKED MAG. ESPECIALLY when they carry like "JOSEY WALES"
WHAT HAPPENS when your double stacked EDC malfunctions??? = PAPERWEIGHT
NO BACK-UP CARRY on you because it was too much WEIGHT for you fashion police to carry a "DOUBLE STACK" and a backup single stack.
I would MUCH RATHER CARRY a Browning High Power, with extra mags, and have the single stack as a back-up.
DID YOU READ the instruction manual also = DON'T DRY FIRE THIS WEAPON????? = NO, YOU DIDN'T READ the instruction manual.
DID YOU clean the preservative oil off of it, before putting it into service???
A BUNCH OF NUMB NUTS reviewing these weapons with no clue as to read the instruction manual.

Thanks for the comment! It's like remaining dedicated to the type written when you have a computer. They both put words on paper. Double stack guns are the same size as single stack guns as I demonstrate in the video. As for the comments about the manual, you understand the gun was malfunctioning? It went back to the manufacturer, and they repaired it. You don't repair a gun that needs some oil.

@@geoff_tac YOU CLEAN the gun as per manuals instructions of "PRESERVATIVE OIL" before firing, "PRESERVATIVE OIL" is not gun oil. SINCE WHEN do you not use oil on a gun??
